Download this tool: www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/67-microsoft-windows-and-office-iso-download-tool No need of installation. After opening this tool 1. Select the windows 10 2. In the middle of the application you will see a page similar to the page of Microsoft. From that you can scroll down and select the windows version that's probably from 2017, 1018. 3. Use this dism technique to reduce the size of iso 4. Make your USB bootable using cmd/diskpart There is no other way to cut down the size of windows 10 iso unless you remove components from the iso which will be very time consuming.
Please read the description carefully. Guyz be sure to check in the sources folder if you have either install.wim or install.esd Take care of the extention. Just replace one with the other in the command

I made this video back then when rufus wasn't working to make a bootable windows for latest systems with UEFI. But now you can use rufus and make windows bootable. If you really have some specific needs that you need to extract the custom windows file from the "install.wim" then you can read the description how to do it. Guyz Rufus have fixed the issue many months back. So its better you go to the website and download it. Its only 1MB. That will be easy for all of us. rufus.ie/en/
The .wim can be optimized. I had the same problem - 4.1GB. When optimized, it got down to 3.3GB ! I used the linux alternative to DISM (wimlib). The command was: "wimlib-imagex optimize install.wim --solid". With DISM, I don't know, but I guess it is "/Optimize-Image"
Just download rufus and make your iso bootable. They have had this fix many months back. Dont forget to disable secure boot in your bios setting. After installing OS enable secure boot again.

Helpfull Video (very good) and worked but my Win11 Pro Image is 4.07GB big and still cannot put it on my FAT32 USB Stick :(
Just download rufus and make your iso bootable. They have had this fix many months back. Dont forget to disable secure boot in your bios setting. After installing OS enable secure boot again.

ran with administrative privilages? I think you can change the location of the iso extract and try again.
