What makes Demons Souls hard is the unforgiving nature of death compared to Dark Souls. U said this game was forgiving in death bc of losd times but u didnt mention that in Demons Souls u dont have regenerating flasks. U have finite amounts of health herbs that u can definitely run out of if not careful and can put yourself in a very rough spot.
I love the environments and graphics, but I don’t like souls-type games. Or really any game that makes me want to throw my controller against the wall. I don’t have the patience for it.
It's tough but usually pretty fair. Unfair defeats, such as fighting the end boss for most fighting games that are ridiculously unfair, are what causes me rage. I rarely ever felt that way about Demon's Souls, and I have the platinum trophy for the original PS3 game. Usually in Demon's Souls when you die you know it's something YOU did wrong, not the game cheating you. Except with Black Phantom Selen. She was absolutely brutal in a legit melee fight.
The only really noob-unfriendly parts in Souls games are: before the first boss in Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, because you can't upgrade yet, and Iudex Gundir in DS3, because it gates you from the whole game. It gets much better after these parts.
I still don’t see a difference from dark souls... even all the colour scheme is like dark souls, green grass orange fire, everything else grey. And it’s a remake lol, so there goes 80$ for a game you played that’s just like 3 other games you played.

Why do some videos have a really washed out look, like with completely uncalibrated gamma, while on other channels the game looks like it has really good lighting and atmosphere?
Is it a capture issue?
3:03 just check the comment section on the OST upload! D:
I have never been able to get into the Souls franchise... played Dark Souls 1,2 and go 3 on launch but hated them...never played demon Souls though...
Played some Bloodborne and liked it but never finished it...
This looks incredible but not sure if I should go for it or not.....I'm stuck....
If you don't like dark souls, it will be same for demon's souls, because demon's souls is the OG dark souls
@@ekopermana7150 It's weird that I don't like Darks Souls but like Bloodborne..
@@ZORIN-X maybe because BB gameplay felt faster than dark souls? On BB you will be forced to play aggresive, manwhile DS is about block, attack, repeat, or just play it safe with sorcerer and pyromancer build
But, BB weapon mechanism is just way cooler than DS IMO
@@ZORIN-X Bloodborne is faster paced and more polished than any dark souls game imo. The combat system is incredibly fine tuned and fluid (though a lot more restrictive, which I think lowers the replay value). The content takes a quality > quantity approach as well.
@@benoz11 Dark souls 3 is the most polished & has probably best bosses in Souls borne series
Kinda wish we'd been treated to a new IP as a flagship launch title, rather than a remake.
The Dragon 🐲 that blows fire 🔥 every time u try to cross the bridge!
THATS LIKE SATAN TO ME EVERY TIME I TRY TO LEAVE POINT LOMA
Knowing a little bit about old weapons, shields and armors, that little shield the character holds in most of the scenes captured for this video is comically small. Like, it's really funny how small it is.
Watching this video on 1440p and its awesome now I only wish I had a PS5 at launch sadly isn't possible damn Sony
I've been in the shopping cart about 20 times now and never made it to finalize in checkout. Getting sick of people gloating about getting one because they were "on point" with their timing. I've been there so many times now, and the websites crash under the stress of so many people trying to get one.
If you want it to look like the original play the original end of story

Yeah because we all have working ps3s...
@@Luke973T Well the purists who complain about it are people who played it already on ps3

Ah yes, I look forward to playing them in the next 4 years when PS5's are actually in stock
I hope you got one
@@napalmsf thanks, I did manage to get one last year.

Bought a Ps5 came early and this Demon souls was waiting
Been playing it for a week straight...so damn good
Been playing for 10 hours still stuck in bolertaria
Did they still not include the cut level?
They did not.
Is this taking advantage of dualsense
If youre here for the score its a 9
I think it's so interesting that they seem to be billing this game as "new" like the PS5 advertisement that says something to the effect of "With so many new frontiers to explore..." And includes clips from this game, considering it's over ten years old. I'm know I'm in the minority but I bought a PS3 FOR demon souls lol. And then I never beat it until I beat Dark souls, and I was like "ok I understand Fromsoftware now"
Sorry I’m a little confused about your comment, are you upset that they remade it?
I think a lot of that is because not as many people were on PS3. Like demon souls is the only souls borne game I haven’t played so for me it’s new and I think there are lots of others in that group.
@@GrimAbstract not at all. I won't be playing it, I've already beaten it, but I think it's marketing is dishonest. Like it doesn't even say "Demon Souls: Remastered" or Demon Souls: Rekindled" or Definitive Edition or anything, it just says "Demon Souls"
@@mr.irrelevent8956 lots of people played uncharted 1 and 2 which came out during the same time frame, it's just that Dark Souls popularized Fromsoftware. Though Demon Souls was critically acclaimed, and the only game like it at the time, it didn't have the cultural phenomenon that surrounded Dark Souls, even though it absolutely deserved it.
@@sgtjohnson49 I understand what you're saying as far as the marketing behind it but since it is a remake of the original game it kind of makes sense. For example the remake of The Legend of Zelda, Link's Awakening is called exactly as the same game. It's a bit of a gray area for sure because I can understand why it's ok to just call it Demon's Souls but at the same time I can't disagree with you. Perhaps it mentions being a remake in the back description?
Incomplete review. What about the item dupe glitch? The farming for Pure Bladestones? Are these the same as the original or not?
Dupe glitch is gone. I believe they said the farming isn't as unforgiving so probably a little easier to get pure bladestones but might be wrong about that.
I have never played souls like game before but I am thinking to play this one.
good luck if you do, they are very tough games on first play-throughs
@@PuhHunter yeah I played Nioh and it wasn't really a pleasent experience.
@@aligillani7107 mate even tho these games are tough as hell, the sense of reward after finishing a boss, finding hidden paths and learning about the lore itself is satisfactory
@@aligillani7107 Souls games are easier than Nioh though. Nioh had awkward controls and some unfair deaths, but in Souls every death only happens because you got greedy, reckless, etc.
@@aligillani7107 I haven't finished Nioh, its a tad too hard for me, But I have beaten The Surge 2 and that game was so damn frustrating
Way to easy than dark souls why bluepoint didn't put choose hard mode option
Cant wait to play this some time next year when there will be a better overall selection of games and worth having the ps5 for me.
Got a admit. This review does not represent just how amazing this game is. New starter btw. Review looks trash.
I really hope n pray that SONY will find some way to let them remake Metal Gear Solid now. SONY must fund this project n get the license from Konami for this remake. Just think BluePoint remaking MGS1-3 game. It will be insane.
😎
What makes Demons Souls hard is the unforgiving nature of death compared to Dark Souls. U said this game was forgiving in death bc of losd times but u didnt mention that in Demons Souls u dont have regenerating flasks. U have finite amounts of health herbs that u can definitely run out of if not careful and can put yourself in a very rough spot.
honestly this commentary is so boring and bland
Here am I going crazy because I won't buy a console until late next year
I think the nostalgia factor is winning most people over... it doesn't do it for me.
Or the game is just amazing and fun? Play the game before you down talk it. I played the original recently and it’s still great
I love the environments and graphics, but I don’t like souls-type games.
Imagine if bloodborne have this graphic.
Bloodborne still looks great, it JUST NEEDS that 60pfs patch though...
Nah. Life is hard enough. I don't want my games to kick my ass too.
Now if only I had a PS5... 🤔
The only souls game that actually did something different from all the others is sekiro.
This is insane
I still don’t see a difference from dark souls... even all the colour scheme is like dark souls, green grass orange fire, everything else grey. And it’s a remake lol, so there goes 80$ for a game you played that’s just like 3 other games you played.

Because it is a ghost. Character can be a human or a ghost, and you can tell the difference by HP bar halved in second case.
Meanwhile this game is getting reviewed bomb by xbots because their butthurt they are stuck with old games again and nothing worth it at launch just game pass lol
@Side Stepper and Xbox has old games as if Xbox one x didn’t already play old games nothing new offered here jeez that’s tough paying $500 for a dud
@@Kiddo_williams Funny people already talking smack but Xbox making sure their fans can still game while not having to buy 500+ console just play remastered games 😂. Also we pretty much get all the games you get except lame exclusives like crash, uncharted(Tomb Raider rip off) and FF7 which you already know they gonna milk it and make you guys buy like 3 more expansions. Also when all the Bethesda games become exclusively on the box I'm sure most of you guys sell that PSjunk lol. Plus we got EA games for free with no charge with GP while PP still giving you trash content. So if giving the fans great content, multiple way to play, game sharing, a CHOICE to upgrade to 8k or stay at 4k and more seen as a dud then you're brainwashed kid.
Fanboys that go to those lengths to slam a game illegitimately are total losers and don't have love for games but their emotional attachment to their console. It is one of the most influential games in the past couple of decades. There are many legitimate reasons why so many other games reference it and the other Souls games.
Demon souls ps3 was so good it literally spawned a whole genre of souls like games
souls borne games>>>>>>>>>every single player games out there (gow and got and portal 2 are not included lol)

Funny nobody mentions all the faults and major issues the PS5 is having.... fucking videogame press!! My PS5 died after turning it on!!!
Xbox got no games 😂
I think the game is good but for 70$ for the same experience you can get on a ps3 for like 20$ or less they are asking quite a lot not fixing any of the games biggest problems with only a few quality of life changes so if you are already getting a ps5 and like hard games and have never played the original I can recommend this game but for anyone else outside those categories I just can’t recommend this game for obvious reasons like someone who doesn’t like hard games will just have wasted there money, if you’ve already played the original there isn’t much point in buying the new one because you already know everything you need to do and if you were only planning to get a ps5 for this game again I can’t recommend this game because there asking a lot to change your entire console experience so really buy this game at your own risk because it’s great but a ton of people won’t be into this game still
And sorry for writing a entire essay and have a lovely day everyone in the chat section
Well, you don’t exactly get the same experience. The new graphics give it a whole new experience plus improvement in frames and resolution. The graphics make it a whole new experience.
@@blakecartiluvr6931 that’s not at all what graphics do, sure they make the game look better but after like 20 minutes you’ll realize your playing the exact same year from a decade ago so while I like there doing this I can’t recommend this game to many people and also the game isn’t super long just Incase that’s what gets people to buy a game or not knowing if a game is long or not so personally I recommend that people wait for a sale on this game but that’s what I just recommend
@@ryancadek the Game is approximately 50-60 hours so I’d say it is pretty long compared to most games!
@@ryancadek idk man, I think what your saying is not giving full credit to the game, the game is super long with new amazing graphics making it feel new. Sure it may be similar story wise, but souls games are about the world and you venturing it. With the new polished game it’s a super nice experience. Plus a lot of newer people getting into consoles don’t have ps3s and probably don’t wanna buy an old console just for an old game. If you get demon souls for the ps5, you can also pick up some new next gen games to enjoy as well.
@@Delb9891 well actually you can beat it in around 15 hours or less, it took me around 8 hours on my first play through of the remake because it’s the exact same as the original so I knew where everything is and it’s the easiest souls game
