  • Exploring the Gulf of Carpentaria continues as we park up in Karumba Point Caravan Park for 8 days , with the hope of catching some Barramundi .
With the wind and tides not really on our side we still managed to get the tinny in for a few day of fun fishing. Heading out we park up on catfish city before finally getting onto some ripper Blue Salmon, who needs Barramundi when the Salmon are biting .
We hit the pub for a delicious pub feed and sit and watch one of the amazing sunsets that Karumba is renowned for.
Give us a Like and Subscibe
See you next time when we leave Karumba and keep heading West to the beautiful Leichardt Falls .

Try keeping your fish under ice especially when you are processing for storage (vacuum sealing) etc

Old Karumba has changed sooooo much. Not what it used to be when I lived there. A bloody shame. We used to ride our motorbikes up to the front Bar at Karumba Point Pub. Times have changed and it a shame . Blue Salmon are terrible eating unless you are going to bleed them straight up and eat that night. Beautiful Caravan by the way.
