79 Series Landcruiser / Walk through
This week we do a Walk Through of our 79 SERIES LANDCRUISER.
After Travelling Australia for the last two years we thought it was about time we shared with you , what we think is one of the best LANDCRUISERS in AUSTRALIA .
Shaun runs through all the MODS and trust me there is a lot. We picked up the CRUISER in April 2022 after waiting well over a year for it to arrive in Australia before the Build started . We went with RAMBLER VEHICLES now RECRE8 AUTOMOTIVE from start to finish , living in Far North Queensland at the time and working on a FIFO roster we decided that it was going to be the best option for us to get everything we wanted. RAMBLER VEHICLES certainly did not disappoint, the wo...

Come along this week as we leave Burketown and starting heading deeper into the Gulf of Carpentaria . We only have 250 klms to get to SEVEN EMUS STATION but the road after HELLS GATE Roadhouse is one of the roughest tracks we have ever been on with bone rattling corrugations and dust holes that just about swallowed us . OMG so much lol .. if I won the lotto we definitely would have kept it ..😂😂😂😂
Great vlog and awesome fishing, green with envy you buggers
Thanks , the Daly River was incredible fishing 😊was very hard to leave lol
Hi guys, Im going to Manangoora in January (wet season) and wanted to know if you can tell me if I access the station that time of year. I also have a 6.5 metre boat and wanted to know if you think the road in will handle it and if the boat ramp was suitable for a boat that size? I know what Im asking is subject to weather but if you could provide your opinion i would really appreciate it. Dave
Hi I not sure if you would get in at that time of year , I would definitely check . The owners at 7 Emu station leave for the wet and only have a couple of people stay because they get locked in when the rivers rise . The road in was very rough when we went . We only have a small tinny but you could definitely launch a 6 metre boat . I hope this was helpful 😊
@@Livingonatrip Really helpful, thank you

Hey guys great video I’m guessing this was filmed February/ march 24 ?
Hi thanks for watching it sure is a beaut spot . We actually spent 3 months down there December 23 and Jan /Feb 24 . 😊
There’s this local guy who works at the supermarket, he says when you ask him,” Mate how are ya?” He goes, “Yeah, great, living the dream.” I’m telling ya now, he’s definitely not living the dream. You guys however are living the dream. Wow, what an episode, I’m so impressed. Go you guys. And you catch as well. 😮
Haha thanks … we are pretty happy with our life 👍 Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment 😊
Lovely Ep and fish guys
Thanks it’s a beautiful spot , nothing like the wet season 😊
Did your starlink work well at Manangoora
Hi Yes it worked perfectly. 😊
Great video again. Very informative and entertaining. We are thinking of heading to Borroloola and King Ash Bay this August. We don’t have a boat so is there much else there other than fishing. Cheers from Adelaide
Hi Glad you enjoyed it 👍 There really isn’t that much at Borroloola to see it has a a small supermarket and hardware/tackle shop . To be honest King Ash Bay is all about fishing lol . They do have a fishing charter and you can also hire houseboats. It’s definitely worth having a look if you are nearby the River is beautiful and you can fish off the bank . Cheers K
Thanks for the upload. Always wanted to do the savanna way but the the possibility of of an engine failure in such remote area looms large. For instance 1 Injector fails and it means " limp mode" ,MAP sensor ect. can fail. Never had those worries with my first 1986 Troopy. Engines where much simpler than. Keep an eye on the airbox seal as some people reported that dust getting in between the housing and the seal, ruining the turbo and the injectors
Hi Yes it can be a bit daunting being so remote . Just got to take the chance I guess 😊
Hi guys, can I ask what covering you have on your tinnie seats? Cheers
Hi It’s just a rubber matting from the boat shop not actually sure what it’s called , Shaun just glued it on . We just have some cushions to sit on . Sort I couldn’t be more helpful 😊
@@Livingonatrip Cheers you have been helpful 👍
Awsom
Thanks mate 😊
