Having used to Payday 2, Payday 3 is one of those games where you'll want it to look visually pleasing as well as gameplay being crisp

I normally can't stand TAA but TAAU looks pretty solid here and gave me a significant performance boost. I also added r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=0 to Engine.ini to disable the Unreal Engine sharpening, which is quite ugly IMO. Could probably mess with control panel settings if sharpening is needed
as soon as you go to any other map besides the tutorial the fps will drop dramatically. I went from 180-200 fps in the tutorial to 75 in the first heist
Can I use the TAA upscaling with DLSS or even Antialiasing enabled? Or is it recommended to turn them off in order to experience TAA upscaling? Great video!

DLSS has its own AA.
DLSS is basically antialiasing so no. If you turn DLSS on AA and TAA gets disabled.
@@exan6970 Makes sense, I just figured I'd ask since the options to keep them on are still showing in-game, and wanted to make sure that TAA was the one being used not DLSS.

Big tip I can give when using DX12: go into your driver settings and force multi core usage for the program instead of leaving it on "auto". I got higher framerates either way but I would either get stutters or crashes without forcing multi core usage.

@@benjaminluke5853 For NVIDIA Gpus go into the control panel, under 3d settings find payday 3 exe and enable threaded optimization
1. Press win+R and type "msconfig"
2. Press "Boot" then "Advanced options"
3. Check the "Number of processors" box and set it to max (for me it's 20)
4. Press "OK" and hit "Apply" and press "OK" again then restart your PC

Sadly right now DX12 crashes your game if you or anyone in your lobby uses the Liberty mask. So you have to choose lag or crashes until they patch it
Really Which Gpu do you have in your system because I'm not having any problems with it?
@@Ryighteous RTX 3070. Game runs very smooth for me on DX12, but if anyone has that mask on it instantly sends me to the Unreal Engine crash screen.
yeah same for me think has something to do with the animation that reveals the skull inside the mask hope they fix it my game runs like trash without it

I went from 280 in the menu to 50 in no rest for the wicked heist
70 FPS to +130FPS i have rtx 3070 and r7 5800x3D and using DLSS auto mode, thx mate
My fps can be as high 700 and during a heist can spike alot and go as low as 40 tried all the fixes and nothing works is this just something that needs patching or anything i can do ?
4:14 for AMD users it's just called Upscaling which is using FSR2
I also have upscaling on intel

Might be DirectX12 caching. You have to play the game for a bit for it to sort itself out. also don't equip the Liberty mask when using DX12, it instantly crashes your game if anyone in the lobby has it equipped

Do you know what to do. when im playing on the tutorial its fine and as soon as i load in to a game. My screen stutters freezes and I barley get 4 fps. And my pc is pretty decent.

DX12 taking the game from 45 fps To 160 for me is wild...
Why is my game locked to 1280×720 ...have a beast of pc but its hooked to my TV , only option on window mode is Borderless or windowed
Edit: fixed had to set scale on display to 100%, restart game and that was it

@@J-bird_ it's running very bad at dx11, on the beta on dx12 was running at 110-120 fps, now in dx11 it's barely hitting 60 fps.

@@PsychoBenches it's stable. Don't use the liberty mask that has an animation and the game runs great
Dx-12 performs way better then dx11 on this game. It just crashes if the liberty mask is anywhere on your screen

stop using the liberty mask and never play with someone who does use it. these comments your getting arent troll its a fact liberty mask crashes games. if you have it equiped you will crash to desktop even. its wack asf. i didnt even know thats why i couldnt use dx12 until i saw the comments of this video and low and behold i was using the liberty mask. unequipped it and i could play until someone in lobby uses it too.
