Ngl I was feeling the same about the Detective job but then I realized how incredibly broken the arrest skill was and ended up using Adachi alot to clear higher level dungeons
Me who mains Breaker Ichiban and uses the following: -Master Soul Anklet (gives back MP per buff gained) -Brands that let it crit with magic and has increased crit damage -Samurai/geodancer allies for crit and magic buffs -Spams Dondoko laser thanks to infinite MP potential... "POOOOWWWWEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!" The biggest downside is that it requires a lot of investment especially for the laser, but damn isn't this combination stupidly broken....
I think host is easily one of the best jobs purely because of the ridiculous damage output it's capable of. The prestige weapon increases damage depending on how drunk you are, combined with wonder cocktail ability which massively increases the damage of your next skill makes it able to do insane damage. You can put a muscle soda on to further increase this damage as well. Easily my favourite startegy to use in this game
The way the job system now works in Infinite Wealth is a lot better than 7's because the jobs are more like stats prioritization and sets of skills you wanted to use. In my Big Swell and the last two sectors for both Hawaii and Yokohama, the jobs (once you get to level 24) are all really good, just need to determine which one does the better buff and overall party damage by that point lol
Trust me, Barmaid Saeko does high damage with easy setup if you get her ult weapon with one crit dmg brand. Jewel Breaker is slept on. It's not gonna hit as hard as Kunoichi with buffs but it's nowhere near bad.
Tennis Ace is so strong that I think it's worth spending the $5 for the job DLC. It basically does everything you want except for healing, ice attacks and blade attacks, but you just can inherit skills from other jobs to cover those.
That's probably about it, but there is no knife, so not fully. I feel that Breaker should be a supplement of a job, not the actual job. It feels incomplete on its own.
Thanks for the tier list. I've heard on Steam that tennis ace is top tier so that's going on either chitose or saeko. Kiryu is never leaving my team and his base job is never being removed. Ichi with a chef/samurai combo then Seonhee and Tomi with their base jobs to fill out the main team. Gotta make sure I balance everything out by skill inheriting the right healing, buff, debuff abilities. I'm about halfway through the game. I see a lot of dungeon grinding in the near future for me 😂
Ichiban : Sujimancer job (This job is damage heavy if you have the right Sujimons which obvioulsy requires a lot of save reloads to get best sujimons) Chitose : geodancer (exceptional healing support) Tomi : Cabbie (Amazing fire , gun , ice abilities) Kiryu : Dragon of Dojima Adachi : Samurai Seaonhee : kunoichi Nanba : Desperado Saeoko : Housekeeper
Know what, I agree with you Luis, I really like Essence of Big Ass Bird because...well...it's Ike from Fire Emblem summoning and riding a big ass bird. Guess we know what he's been up to after facing off against Ashnard and Ashera.
Breaker works mainly as a way for Adachi to work around its abysmal agility (which you can also do with items, for sure) and more quickly apply Detective's Determination to the enemies (which applies Fear and an Agility debuff to a good amount of enemies, said Agility debuff which works in combination with Chitose's violin skill and work with Ichiban's third? Asakura skill, which can inflict a LOT of damage if the target is unbuffed). Also Hangman Twist tends to decently consistently buff everyone's crit chance while also being a grapple that applies your weapon's attributes, probably one of the better grapples. Pretty sure Adachi's AOE also applies attributes and Detective gets a good Paralyze / Electricity baton as one of the final two weapons to craft for the job (the real ultimate weapon being kinda garbage). ...Pyro is worse than you rated it, also. Very good in the early game because it has its own version of Windmill (a fairly good AOE skill back in 7 that is now kind of outclassed) but it falls off later. It's alright at most and the weapons it has don't seem to be all that great. Ancient Panacea and Mask of Fertility are good, but only if you don't run a female party member (who can cast a party wide ailment remover if borrowed from Idol, also to note that Chitose gets a debuff remover & heal and a way to slow down enemies and trigger Ichi's Asakura skill as mentioned in the easiest way) or, for Mask, don't have someone with the last Aquanaut skill. TL;DR: Breaker has some stat usage and one good skill to borrow, Adachi's base well synergizes with Ichi and Pyro is meh.
Chef is the most op job. Get 7 stat weapon, use war cry and combine with relentless dragon dance. You will murder any and every boss. It doesn't even account for the beads( from recycle center) that you can stack for more blunt damage. So stack those, brand 7 stat weapon for blunt damage and critical damage, insane damage.
Thanks to your video, I finally realised I should be running multi-class abilities for everyone. Especially now I put Scum Scraper on Chitose, thank god. Those cardboard pricks won't see it coming.
Scum Scraper is great because of the many times you fight Yamai. He loves buffing himself and is weak to water. the amount of times I gave him a forced bath in my playthrough, I wouldnt be surprised if he now has a fear of showering
I haven't had the chance to play this game yet, but I wasn't even aware they put some classes behind a paywall, really scummy of Sega, along with the NG+ mode. That said, some of these classes look super fun, Aquanaut seems badass, and they really knocked it ouf of the park for the Essence animations.
Host on kasuga with dondoko ray hits crazy thanks to double magic buff. I put 2 brawler mouthguards on him and its only 60mp to use (best move in game costing less than some kiwami moves at that point)
i think breaker is at least a tier in late-endgame if you're using it as a party buff bot/healer rather than a gimmicky damage dealer. its ultimate weapon gives mp back when it receives a buff and since all aoe buffs are guaranteed to hit the user, breaker can crank out buffs like glory awaits for free. if you give characters pareo of happiness accessories, all those buffs also heal hp. for damage output i gave it the seal that boosts blunt damage greatly and let ichiban use his skills from asakura's questline and that did pretty decent damage for a party slot i'd designated as a support. bottom line is, spamming glory awaits to buff attack and crit rate while also healing hp at effectively 0 mp cost is pretty good. being one of the fastest male jobs is also a big plus for its potential as a support.
Yeah breaker needs party wide buffing or guaranteed buffs on successful hit it's so bad in this game. Also freelancer ruffian's kick is great against the boss monsters since they can't dodge just use him and a host with double damage and you destroy them.
The buffing of magic isn't for the job itself it's because you can carry over skills. The proc rate is an issue (but there are weapon enhancesments that fix that) you put that skill on a magic job on something with a higher chance of buffs on your weapon and it's an incredibly useful skill Most people's best job is their original job. The other jobs are just to get new abilities to customize your character specific job in a way that suits your playstyle
I still completely understand Breaker's placement It's only really good for Ichiban and Kiryu, but with ther better Job System of IW, it's even better to just grind out Breaker and put it's moves on a better Job
Breaker is easily the worst class. At least you can somewhat justify using Detective and Barmaid because they are default classes (sentimental reasons, yeah, but at least it isn't nothing). Breaker just exists for no reason. If there is a regret I had in my first playthrough, it is trying to upgrade the Breaker job for Han Joongi. Yes, it was dumb as shit.
21:50 I wanna mention that its his Dragon Style and not Brawler. The icon shows that fact. But it might actually play like Brawler, since i have not played the game. I just assumed because of the icon.
My opinion: Hero should be higher because of higher AoE buff skills, that makes it more useful Action Star is only good because of the double physical damage skill Homeless only had fire magical skills normally, so it is better to change to host, or use some skills that has both, because fighting an enemy with fire resistance will be difficult with only homeless skills. Host can double magical skills damage in the next turn, making it better than the Homeless. Idol is supposed to be a white mage, therefore only usable when the situation is dire, but I think it is slightly worse than hero because the attack damage is really bad.
Chi-chan + geodancer + 7star gear = Infinite Health Arguably the most broken build in the game. Like 90% of geo skills are awesome. I just realized this after invested too much time on housemaid.
Sad thing about Sujimancer is that a lack of weapons means no way of making its attack crit. For gangster, its ultimate weapon makes it pretty good since it ignores resistances. Idol feels outclassed by geodancer. Aquanaut is pretty nutty. Ultimate armor makes it ignore resistances. The dolphins essence reduces water resistances, making it great setup.
Hard disagree on breaker, any job that gets self sustaining mp has at least some use…granted every one of its skills is trash except for situational use of its essences. I rocked zhao for most of the game with homecooked dimsum, glory awaits and aquanauts healing skill, max out agility, have seonhe substitute jutsu right back to him, start off with an +2 attack/crit on your party right off the bat.
The real point is that Hangman Twist is a good grapple that has a decent chance to at least buff someone (if not multiple people or yourself) in the party with a Crit boost. The damage from it is also decent in general but the buff ability just works. That and Breaker just has a lot of skills that apply the weapon's stats and more agility so slow characters can catch up.

You can just inherit that onto another class. It's like the one good thing Detective has.

a game shelf, Macca colab video? today was a good day
We plan to collab more often from now on, this was a really fun experience
I don't know if it's a glitch or is intentional, but I've had Court Maintenance debuff the enemy even when it misses! Truly a 10/10 skill
Court Maintenance is such a great skill fr, I find it great against enemies that get guaranteed buffs at some point, even against the Amons
Tennis Ace is so strong that I think it's worth spending the $5 for the job DLC. It basically does everything you want except for healing, ice attacks and blade attacks, but you just can inherit skills from other jobs to cover those.
Good thing about Breaker is you can bring some of its moves to Ichiban's Hero job for the ultimate Majima cosplay.

Dragon's Resurgence
Ngl, I like Dragon's Resurgence but personally I think Ichiban's Essence of Friendship is exponentially better and faster than it
I wish Kiryu had more exclusive jobs considering all the job experience he has like realistate, cabarat manager, or taxi driver
Cabaret manager is basically host, and Taxi Driver is literally Tomizawa's exclusive job. An Agent job could have been cool though.
