I was 12 and getting ready to go into high school. Now I am working on a masters degree. It is interesting to see this LP getting finished. Now here is to hoping that protonjon finishes Superman 64 before I turn 40.
Just FYI the sequel is not OFFICIALLY in production. Hideki Kamiya (the director) and Ikumi Nakamura (one of the original artists) made a video that mostly to gauge interest and perhaps pressure Capcom into making it happen. Platinum actually already attempted to get a sequel in production back in 2016 but fell through for complicated reasons, so they are definitely trying their best to get it to happen this time. Ikumi has not confirmed whether she is working at Platinum yet, and Platinum itself still has multiple other projects in the works. But I'm guessing its not a matter of if, but when!
I remember watching his okami let's play for the very first time, I was intrigued, and was really close to getting the game myself, I remember his crappy mic with a crappy quality, I too was upset when he didn't finish the whole let's play, but I kept watching him, and now, after what feels like an eternity, it's back, with his good mic, and crystal clear picture quality, I'll admit, when I saw this in my sub box, I shed a year of joy and nostalgia, and I'll be looking forward to him finally finishing this game, thank you chugga, you were and still are the biggest inspiration I had back then that got me into console gaming and I couldn't thank you enough :)

Thanks to this LP, I found one of my favorite games. I bought it less than 2 months ago after you uploaded this video, leading me to watch the rest of this LP. Thank you for making this series, man. Excited for a potential sequel!
Couple of things I think you should talk about: You touched on this incredibly briefly in the bonus overview, but I think it warrants reiterating because you didn't really go over it properly and with the rereleases changing some stuff about the credits it's added information. So, in all PS2 releases, as well as the Japanese/Asian rereleases on the Wii and PS3 versions (plus maybe the other more recent rereleases? Not sure on that one) the song "Reset" by Ayaka Hirahara is played, and a remix of this song titled on the track as "Reset (Thank You)" is played during the scene after the first four phases of the Yami fight. The remix of the song is still in all rereleases (and is the best track in the game, imo), but due to licensing issues the original version by Hirahara is not in any other localised versions of the game besides the original release. In the Wii localisation, there are no credits scene as you mentioned, but in all other rereleases, a remix of the Ryoshima Coast music is played over the credits instead. I think you should go over this because these are some amazing tracks that some people may never hear as a result of the version they played and by talking about it in more detail you direct them to look these songs up. The other thing I think you should talk about is how YOU feel about this game (and Okamiden, if you wouldn't mind!) nowadays. This LP finished almost nine years ago, and I think it would be interesting to hear how your opinions have shifted in those nine years to maybe get an idea of why it took so long to get these videos out. I know you've spoken in various places in the past about the games more recently, but it'd just kinda be interesting to hear the whole story in one place.

Dear Chuggaa I've been watching you since mario sunshine, subbed since luigi galaxy and avidly watching since pikmin. I remember watching lots and lots of your content while I was in a bad place. I was bullied a lot as a kid and my self esteem went through the floor due to all this. One of the few things that cheered me up at the time was your content and every time I watched TRG or any of your videos the pure unbridled optimism and joy you feel for games washed over me. I'm now studying to be a game developer in part because of you (among others) helping foster a love of video games within me. All as a long way of saying me and my sister felt great dismay the series wasn't finished, and seeing this has made me very happy, and brought me back to being a kid. Thank you for everything

I was in preschool when this LP started, and now I’m in highschool, and still as much of a Chuggaaconroy fan as I was back then when I first discovered RUclips! Nice to see you come back to this Emile! My decade on RUclips has come full circle with these bonus episodes, and you’ve grown so much!
After watching this video, i realized how much I love this game and I need to go back and replay it/rewatch the let's play. If i remember right, this was the first LP of yours i watched. It was in my recommended, i watched it, loved the style of the game, went back to part one, and became a huge fan of your work. That led me to get this game and Xenoblade and many other great games. So, Thank you for playing this game again. It brought a smile to my face, not because it gives us some closure on this great game, but because it allows me to relive and remember part of my childhood that i try so desperately hard to cling on to.
I have to say I rewatched some of your okami LP a while back; it was really a whole lot of fun and way funnier than I expected. Now and then I really enjoy how you read these lines and how you mix story with commentary and keep everything immersive.

Conor O'Sullivan his core resembles a seal, and his metal body is clearly technology from the Lunar Tribe. Hence, he was likely a Brush God of darkness that the Lunar Tribe either tried to imprison or enslave (think of the metal body as a giant pokeball, heh)

Couple of things I think you should talk about:
You touched on this incredibly briefly in the bonus overview, but I think it warrants reiterating because you didn't really go over it properly and with the rereleases changing some stuff about the credits it's added information. So, in all PS2 releases, as well as the Japanese/Asian rereleases on the Wii and PS3 versions (plus maybe the other more recent rereleases? Not sure on that one) the song "Reset" by Ayaka Hirahara is played, and a remix of this song titled on the track as "Reset (Thank You)" is played during the scene after the first four phases of the Yami fight. The remix of the song is still in all rereleases (and is the best track in the game, imo), but due to licensing issues the original version by Hirahara is not in any other localised versions of the game besides the original release. In the Wii localisation, there are no credits scene as you mentioned, but in all other rereleases, a remix of the Ryoshima Coast music is played over the credits instead. I think you should go over this because these are some amazing tracks that some people may never hear as a result of the version they played and by talking about it in more detail you direct them to look these songs up.
The other thing I think you should talk about is how YOU feel about this game (and Okamiden, if you wouldn't mind!) nowadays. This LP finished almost nine years ago, and I think it would be interesting to hear how your opinions have shifted in those nine years to maybe get an idea of why it took so long to get these videos out. I know you've spoken in various places in the past about the games more recently, but it'd just kinda be interesting to hear the whole story in one place.

@@TeruteruBozusama Oh, they did? I didn't know that, I played the PS2 version and then never played it again until the PC version with the Ryoshima Music. I just thought it was only the case on the PS2 version.

I've been watching you since mario sunshine, subbed since luigi galaxy and avidly watching since pikmin. I remember watching lots and lots of your content while I was in a bad place. I was bullied a lot as a kid and my self esteem went through the floor due to all this. One of the few things that cheered me up at the time was your content and every time I watched TRG or any of your videos the pure unbridled optimism and joy you feel for games washed over me. I'm now studying to be a game developer in part because of you (among others) helping foster a love of video games within me. All as a long way of saying me and my sister felt great dismay the series wasn't finished, and seeing this has made me very happy, and brought me back to being a kid.

After watching this video, i realized how much I love this game and I need to go back and replay it/rewatch the let's play. If i remember right, this was the first LP of yours i watched. It was in my recommended, i watched it, loved the style of the game, went back to part one, and became a huge fan of your work. That led me to get this game and Xenoblade and many other great games.
So, Thank you for playing this game again. It brought a smile to my face, not because it gives us some closure on this great game, but because it allows me to relive and remember part of my childhood that i try so desperately hard to cling on to.

I have to say I rewatched some of your okami LP a while back; it was really a whole lot of fun and way funnier than I expected. Now and then I really enjoy how you read these lines and how you mix story with commentary and keep everything immersive.

Yami just means darkness. It's basically the overlord of all the demons, with not much explained about its origins, iirc.

Conor O'Sullivan his core resembles a seal, and his metal body is clearly technology from the Lunar Tribe. Hence, he was likely a Brush God of darkness that the Lunar Tribe either tried to imprison or enslave (think of the metal body as a giant pokeball, heh)
