Lovely podcast! Speaking of cumin in the discussion of using it sweet or savory: I recently experimented with ground cumin biscuits topped with sliced almonds, they were a great hit among friends and suits so well with a coffee. Great gateway of taking it out of the savory category!
It really says something about a spice that it manages to spread across the world to different cultures and become popular, especially in places where food is blander (if that makes sense?!). Like how paprika is so common here in the UK when not long ago it would have been thought as 'exotic' and maybe even strange. P. S. I love your tattoo! :)
The ones I’m always restashing in my cabinet are rosemary, cumin, cinnamon and pepper. Oregano and basil are runner up. But if I absolutely had to choose two… rosemary and cinnamon.
Chocolate butter? Maybe useful for some sweets or semifreddo, surely. There's even (sweet) ricotta with cocoa or pistachio inside and they very good for a tea break, for example. Pretty hard to find them in North Italy though.
Hey Kelly my name is Tayla and I'm from New Zealand. In a couple of weeks I'm visiting Venice (briefly though 😮💨) and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for places to visit - I've got the key tourist places e.g. Doges palace etc but I wondered if you had any local secrets? I'm looking to get the most out of my trip and time in Venice but obviously on a budget because international travel is criminally expensive 😢

If they're going to do Pickled onion mayonnaise
What about the other flavours?
Truuuuue! Flamin' Hot Monster Munch mayo would also be a winner for me
