    I've been on the edge of pulling the trigger on one of these for like a month now. Thank you for posting such a nice recording of it!!! It seems the vintage line is an underappreciated Furch line.

      Furch makes some great guitars. My brother has this guitar. It's as fine as fine can be and without the big sticker price. I think he paid between $2400 and $2600 for the guitar.

    since one year i am the owner of an OM vintage 3,with deep body. Furch didn't want to adjust the string spacing at the bridge.(wider) So a third party did that for me. Now this guitar is perfect for me,sounds really ver,very,very nice,warm and deep. Use it mostly for fingerpicking.

      How does it take strumming seeing it's an OM? I only tried a red with GC body shape which strummed like a dream

    I just had a furch red master choice which dissapointed. So now I'm debating on a vintage 3. Do you think you miss out on alot of bass or volume with this model (mainly since its an OM and my red was the GC model)? Is the vintage 3 comparable to a red series in terms of quality?

    • @tonepedia
      @tonepedia  8 месяцев назад

      That sounds odd. We have one Red series here and it is nothing short of amazing. In fact, we never received a guitar from Furch that had issues. Sometime the setup wasn't perfect but that's an individual thing. The Vintage 3s we have received were all great guitars.

    This guitar sounds much worse on the website thomann....tralala. For this reason I did not consider it for purchase. However, after listening to this video dozens of times, I simply fell in love with this sound. Thanks for the beautiful demo!

    Thanks for the great demo. This is a fantastic instrument and you've played it very well. What's the title of this song ? I have a Furch G22 SR Cut from 2016 and love it. However I find it mostly useful for strumming and some flatpicking but a bit more difficult for finger-picking. I have another OM format long scale guitar (Sigma SOMR-28H) which feels definitely easier for finger-picking but it's not at the same quality and sound level as the Furch guitars. The string action is pretty similar on both of my guitars but the neck profile of my G22 is a "D" vs. a "V" of my OM. Widths at the nut are 45mm vs. 44.5mm. I don't believe that the 0.5mm difference in width makes it more difficult to play but rather the neck profile. The newer Furch Gc and the OM models both seem to have a Soft-V neck profile. I wonder whether this makes it a bit more suitable for finger-picking. Unfortunately there aren't any shops around here which carry these Furch Vintage models to try it out. Would appreciate your professional advice please.

    • @tonepedia
      @tonepedia  3 года назад

      Hi Gerry,
      Sorry it took us long to get back to you on that. The Soft V on the OM, Gc and Vintage series Furch guitars is more similar to the one on your Sigma. Personally I like V shapes for fingerpicking. If memory serves me well, Furch also offers 43mm nut on special order, so if that is an important feature be sure to ask your preferred retailer. I am not sure where you are located, if you cannot find a shop you feel comfortable dealing with please shoot us an email to support@tonepedia.com and we will try to help with locating one or a guitar for you. Yes, we like helping out (-:

    I'm disappointed with Furch, they become greedy. I wanted to buy Furch vintage 2 and it was $3000AU compare wit Martin D18 $3800AU and D28 $4100AU but now they increased to $3800 for vintage 2 and over $4000 for vintage 3. Furch is nice guitar but it is not Martin and need long way to go. Just greedy as they get good reviews.

    • @ednaplate
      @ednaplate 3 года назад +4

      Or maybe they are as good, or possibly better, than Martin? Having played both extensively I bought the Furch.

    • @Hrcak1
      @Hrcak1 3 года назад +1

      @@ednaplate Your choice, Martin is name, you have value if you want to re-sell it and for blues and bluegrass you can't compare. Furch is in same level as Eastman, good but not there yet except by price.

      Hey there - interesting discussion! While some factors will always be subjective we can definitely confirm that Furch guitars are high level instruments in terms of craftsmanship, sound and design. They do have a wide range of models and also their more affordable instruments sound really good to our ears. I have prepared a demo here where you can A/B some Master Choice Furch models vs the Martin D18 and HD28. We have a lot of more models from Furch, Martin and many other manufacturers on our website. All of them have been recorded under the exact same circumstances therefore you will be able to objectively select you favorite. Here you go: bit.ly/2SZmCWp
