That was an outstanding video. Excellent explanation AND the reasons why you were doing the cutting. Questions: 1) with the cutout mods, how were you able to figure which one to cut/bend back, because it seems you would have had to test fit it numerous times, and I would imagine that gets old really quick? for those of us who arent as mechanically inclined as others, how in depth were the directions (if there were any)? Thank you in advance. Looking forward to your other 470 mod vids. I'm owner of a 04 GX470
Hi John, actually the owner/maker of reddog bumpers was kind enough to facetime me and explain it. I mentioned that I was putting together a video so I wanted to make sure I got it right before sharing with everyone. Also the instructions are quite good - coupled with this video you should be able to do it if your somewhat mechanically inclined. Thanks for the compliments!

Never thought about using heat for the clips. I’m definitely using that trick in the future!

@@froncareinc.9612 I msgd him on IG inquiring re sliders and he said hes busy pumping out bumpers and working on some new stuff awhile ago. I would msg him directly.
How are your front air bag sensors and parking sensors affected ?
Hey, neither are affected. This model GX does not have sensors in the front and the air bag sensors are located where the fenders bolt onto the frame I believe. Modern vehicles use accelerometers to sense a sudden drop in speed to trigger air bags, do not require the bumper to squeeze in or anything. PLEASE DO NOT USE the skinny setting for your videos when doing this type of video. OTHERWISE a GREAT JOB!!! I'm getting one of these soon.. and this is very handy..
yeah my bad, but it works pretty well on your phone if your full screen it out on the driveway at least. I'll remember next time
