I could barely walk this weekend and started doing some of your exercises that I happen to run across and it’s really helped out with my back pain. Thank you so much!! ❤️
@@sarahjenkins8963 a combination of naproxen, then to ibuprofen alongside some decompression hanging stretches, started them very very gently and worked up to longer more weighted hangs, I seem to be getting somewhere recently so I’m hopeful it’s working, I take it you’re in pain yourself?
❤ I constantly are dealing with this pain from previous injury (blown disc). This helps so much. Thanks soooo much. Your videos are so helpful with alot of my issues. ❤️😃👏💐❤️
In my experience with a bulged disc as soon as you’re able to do this exercise it’s a good sign of getting better. Could you do a video with exercises for the first stage of a bulge disc? most videos I see show exercises that in no way are possible if you got a fresh injury. I will be very interested to see some exercises that you can do when you can barely move out of bed or even in bed. I discovered that when searching for adding a tiny bit a little bit of motion in the hips (even if it’s 1 milimeter gain) and trying to extend the legs for millimeters gradually helps.. stuff like this
Try doing the shoulder to the side push up and only do it 5 reps. Work you way up as you feel the pain easing up. This is what I did months ago. Now I only do it 2xs a week to maintain. Hope it works for you.
This is exactly what I was told to avoid. Caused extreme pain and worsening sciatica in both legs, it really irritate and flared up the disc. Had to use ice for days 😱 I only listen to my neurologist now.
Can you suggest any more exercises for disc bulge? How long do we need to do these? And is it possible to completely recover from disc bulge with these exercises?
Hi, fellow herniated disc here:))). Once the outer layer of the disc is damaged (usually because wrong movements/poor posture while sitting etc.) it doesnt really heal. What can you do if its in the lumbar area(myself) you can do bridges, planks, core exercises in general. So basically you have to strenghten your back muscles so it can support your weight rather than having the weight on your spine(which will agravate the bulged disc).
When I attempt a lot of exercises like this, I’m receiving a shock all over. If I get that pop in my back I feel like I was never even hurting but the wall I have to get over is that initial shock feeling.
This helps some people but not everyone....I was following this method of physiotherapy called the McKenzie Method....it involved hyper extension exercises....i have a herniated disk in lower back area....this exercise caused me worse pain than chikdbirth. Had to stop so just be careful if it works great but not great if it doesnt work.
In prebious video, you mentioned that this exercise is.not good for all disc ptoblems Since I could not find the appropriate video, could you please remind us the cases ? Thank you!
Can't do it. Never could. Can't do bridges either. Don't know where to even start. My back only feels good when I'm lying on my back knees bent flattening back into surface of what I'm on.
You might have a degenerative disc/stenosis problem instead, in which case the opposite motion would be better for you. If you're curious, I've got some great videos that can help with that as well.
Hi, (herniated disc here:)) yeah you should do these exercises every day to maintain your back muscle mass. I recommend bridges, plank, and any core strenght exercise in general. Take standing/walking breaks if you work at an office. Also, try to tense up your abdomen in the morning so you get the blood flowing into the discs which will help.
Seen this so many times but it makes it worse for me unless I was already feeling almost painless then it's good. Why does it hurt so much if I am already in pain??? I heard that depending on the disk location, this can help or harm. What other options?
Try nerve glides And remember, sometimes you don’t need to stretch your hamstrings you might need to strengthen them. A lot of people overstretch their hamstrings.
Consider if your pork for is is short or long. Long piriformis or too much hip internal rotation HIR means you need to strengthen the muscle and vise versa. Check squat university for more info.
I started to do this daily, slowly, and it exacerbated the disc; i ended up in the ER with numbess in my saddle area and an emergency MRI. Listen to your body.
@@roriya8159 yes!! It took about two months (started in early July) and I'm feeling much better. Still a little bit of pain, still can't bend over very much, but I'm walking about a mile a day - just being very cautious.
What to do if my left buttock gets painful while lie down and I am also suffering from L5-s1 disc buldge with ap diameter 9.6 though I don’t feel any sharp or radiating pain but when I get in to bed I feel pain In my left buttock can you please help me ?
I don’t think I can do it. I have a messed up right hand and I’m unable to use it much so pushing up would not work. Is there anything else I can do? My pt was discontinued Friday
From my experience (foing in center specialized in back pain), I was told that if the pain gets worse, you need to stop. If the pain is tolerable and isn't more than it used to be, you should continue. First try with very small motions.
I started doing this for a disc problem and it helps for sure. Thanks
Oh I'm so glad to hear that! Speaking from personal experience as well - I know they work!
I could barely walk this weekend and started doing some of your exercises that I happen to run across and it’s really helped out with my back pain. Thank you so much!! ❤️
It really helped me. I try it every day at work in short breaks and it makes it easier to tolerate the pain
Tried it and it offered immediate short term pain relief, next morning I was in about 5 times more pain than before 🤷♂️
Exactly this, it doesn't really work for me. It makes me feel a lot of pressure
Edit: Ok it worked after after 2 weeks aproximately.
😮😢 what did you do since it didn't help?

So how long does a bulging disc take to heal? And does the nerve pain stay after it heals?

It really helped as always. We need the routine you use for your chest!
Now it hurts a lot more 😢
Trying putting 1-2 pillows under your pelvis and lay face down. I had to do that for some time (weeks) before press ups were possible!

Annular would be ok but not many other types. If its Superimposed that means it's all directions and still pinch doing this.

Can more extension cause disc bulge while working out ?

Is it the same thing as bending/arching back while standing?
How many times a day sets of 15?
Doesn’t that pinch the disc more and cause more pain?
How combat pain
what if i have the opposite problem? doing back extension and i feel pain in the lower back.

This helped me relieve some pain, I have bad coughs when sick which shoot my back forward or knock me down. Thx
Hi !!
If I don't suffer pain anymore, should I do it anyway?
And, should I take long walks as an exercise if I am pain free?
Hi, (herniated disc here:)) yeah you should do these exercises every day to maintain your back muscle mass. I recommend bridges, plank, and any core strenght exercise in general. Take standing/walking breaks if you work at an office. Also, try to tense up your abdomen in the morning so you get the blood flowing into the discs which will help.

Does this exercise suppose to hurt? Coz i have chronic pain due to my bulging discs from L1 to L5 and S1 .so should i start doing or not? Thx ❤

My hips and My scheliousis doesn't like the second extension what can I do instead
But would it work if herniation is sideways?
Are bulged discs permanent?
