Robert Kelly is a stand up comic and actor. His multiple television and film appearances include: The Tonight Show, Louie, Trainwreck, Fourth of July, Nurse Jackie, Inside Amy Schumer. He is co-host of the podcast, The Bonfire and has a one hour comedy special called Kill Box.
Big Jay Oakerson is a comic and the co-host of the podcast, The Bonfire. On the screen, Jay has been featured on “This Is Not Happening” with Ari Shaffir, “Comedy Underground” with Dave Attell, FX’s Emmy winning “Louie”, “Inside Amy Schumer”, and “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” & Conan O’Brien. His new special, Dog Belly is available on You Tube.

Dave is not that funny. Luis could be passed. I don't think he tried to get passed in the last few years. He was denied years ago. Honestly rightfully so. He was not that strong at stand-up.

The Seth Simon’s ep was so embarrassing and Noam was just mad he was called an idiot for an hour instead of actually debating him. Noam shouldn’t like Seth because Seth absolutely will never like Noam. He should have actually been aware of what Seth does before interviewing him, he was really only mad Seth called him dumb it’s crazy and irresponsible to invite him on and have zero idea of how evil he is. Big Jay rocks that debate needs to happen with him and Seth.

That's what really hurt me too, not being called a civilian. After all, I've never braved a stage before and been paid to do it, only spoke at my drunken goon relatives funerals and the like, which thankfully didn't end in violence unlike the Christmas of '09 and the infamous Thanksgiving of 2020. Me and my uncle still don't talk, and I've since sworn off bourbon.

Crackle crackle. I'm all in on the new Bonfire. Jay and Dan had legendary riffing, but Bobby creates a better atmosphere for guests and more constant funny.
Its nice to not have Dan's explosive insecurity clashing with Big Jay's self righteousness

@@mikeru2499 keeps the flow moving. Love Dan but he'd just sht on anyone famous as a defense mechanism and than be quiet and shy when they actually sit down. Makes for a funny moment, but not a recipe for iconic moments with guests.

His kid is definitely clouded by some mental illness, full-blown aspergers and severe ADHD or something. Any time he has popped into Bobby's patreon shows he's behaving like a child half his age, twice as loud, with four times the energy and no sign of intelligence
Bobby seems like a solid dad, not being critical of that at all. Wish he would quit with the wife and kid stuff on the bonfire though, he still thinks any hate is because he isn't Soder but people are over that for the most part-- his dull family chat is the majority of the reason people actively dislike him

I have to be honest, I judged this podcast without ever listening to it. I assumed it would be to jewy, too much shop talk, perhaps even something pretentious like calling non comedians "civilians". But I love Big Jay so I gave it a shot. Boy what a fucking gay ass show this is. I made it less than 15 minutes.
this is an interesting jew (noam) seems cool but a little two faced when it comes to going into the trenches with the cancel culture. understandable he has to please a lot of people but the thing that is a bit weird is that legion of skanks is not a credit on the description of the video. hmmmmm

I am in so much in Noam’s corner on meeting with people that he disagrees with. I hope he has Seth on again. Noam can intelligently argue with anyone a keep his head. One of my favorite people.
But it is a sham argument. Noam believes it to be a classic Greek debate of ideas. It is Seth pacifying until he returns to his dungeon and disingenuously skewers a comedian by ignoring the comedic bit and purpose. He knowingly takes away all context. Seth is a snake. And Noam is a fool for engaging like it is a legitimate meeting of the minds.
Ordinarily, I agree with your sentiment. Not in this specific case.

IMO, Noam is naive on this point. He believes in the power of argument. Two people enter a room and the more convincing wins.
Seth is not open to this format. He is a snake. Has no intention of willingness to engage in a debate. Further, he is two-faced entirely. Filled with spite and rage. Noam will never see the full truth because he wants to believe in the fallacy that is a debate between ideas. It isn't in this case.

I have just recently listened to your podcast.. Sorry to report i think your last show a disgrace.. I hope there were no children listening or others that would find your conversation revolting. .. The mystery is how loving things can be twisted into obscene activity and you give it stamp of approval , it’s a parade … no cheering you on from here. Not a laugh except from discomfort .. is that what you choose to bring into our world..
