    Tip In case it helps anyone. My inline fuse did not have an actual fuse in it, it was empty (maybe this is normal, no idea). I got everything hooked up and couldn't figure why I wasn't getting any power. Looked inside the rubber cap and finally noticed it was empty - replaced it with a 10 Amp fuse I had and voila, we have power.

      You bet! That’s a good tip! Some come with them and some don’t I guess. Keep and eye on the 10 amp fuse if all of the sudden it stops working. I have to run 25-30 amp in mine because we are in the grass all the time since we don’t have pavement. Puts a lot of strain on the battery. Glad we could help you out! Why did you a 30amp fuse on a 20 amp battery. What is the original fuse size? Does the fuse need to match the battery? Example, I’m buying a 12amp hr battery. The original fuse is 10amp. Do I need to upgrade to a 12 or 15 amp fuse to match the new bigger 12amp battery?

    • @C10TruckNerd
      @C10TruckNerd  2 месяца назад +1

      They wasn’t a fuse in the original. The initial start or movement draws more amps than constant battery draw. Ours are under a lot of strain constantly because we are on grass and rock all of the time as well. Going to a bigger fuse doesn’t really hurt anything unless you’re going to like a 50 and still popping them.

    • @C10TruckNerd
      @C10TruckNerd  4 месяца назад

      I’m not sure. Ours will do that too if the girls run it in the grass non stop for 25-30 minutes. I think the wires are getting too hot.

    • @01sctacoma
      @01sctacoma 4 месяца назад +1

      Yea, I think when they push it too far too long. I ordered a pack of 50 fuses for $5… drive on kids! He rides for at least 45-60 min now! I am going to put in a volt meter to see when the battery should be charged which is 10.3v under load.

    • @C10TruckNerd
      @C10TruckNerd  4 месяца назад

      @@01sctacoma Those 50s should help. I wish we had pavement to see how long ours would last on a charge. The grass and hills are brutal.

    • @01sctacoma
      @01sctacoma 4 месяца назад

      Oh no, I got (50) 30 amp fuses! I think 50amp might melt some stuff. Yea we don’t have much pavement either and very few level areas, and no grass. Basically dirt and gravel roads. I put that bolt meter gauge in and it really helps show when to switch batteries.

    • @C10TruckNerd

      Ours last about 3 days or approximately 4 hours in all grass driving. If we are on pavement, about 6 days (hour plus a day) or I would guess 8-10 hours. I haven't put a watch them to test though. Our power wheels battery made it maybe an hour in the grass.
