Hello from Sweden (Ex-pat). Your video started off with my favourite Action Men. I used to save up my Green Shield Stamps and then got an Adventurer. Those were the days. Many thanks and keep up the good work.
Great collection. So good to see. I have still got my original 1966 Action Man. I did damage his wrist and my dad sent it for repair. The company were so good, they replaced the wrist and with him was a very authentic looking letter advising me to " start with a gentle route march and then some parade ground work" for an 8 yr old it was so nice to be treated like that. Wouldn't happen today.
I have a mixed lot of the '64 to '77 Joes some are original and I used to rebuild the neighborhood figures as a kid with footlockers full of bits. Love what you do, thanks for the look back.
Had action man when I was a kidd in the 60s. It was the toy have as a boy. I did have the tank commder with the headphones and the strom trooper I don't know why i stopped. Maybe they were getting expensive . But I still buy action man in charity shops. Even though they haven't got the full kit. I've noticed I've been collecting the spy Acton man with Dr x and he's mob. Good show. Bring back memories. 👍😊
I love seeing these Action Man figures. Action Man went beyond American G.I. Joe and had a colorful lineup of figures and uniforms. Analog Toys is great.
Brings back so many memories..I had about twelve at one point and a big box of accessories,my favourite was when I got the training tower for Christmas... happy days.
Excellent collection and video, always remember the basics. My friends had all the flash outfits such as the German Staff Officer/ Stormtroopers etc. :)
I had a G.I. Joe as a kid and a few Jim's(?) that had the karate button in the back. Your videos bring back a lot of memories and I thank you. I finally found out what you had meant about the Action Man's eyes being droopy, as I had no idea they moved!... hahaha 😉 Take care

Wow I had forgotten I used to have Captain Zargon until this video. I can remember having to use talc to put on/take off the Space Ranger uniform. Good luck in getting one.
An excellent collection! My favourite outfit has to be the French Resistance fighter, which came with basically civilian clothes and a shoulder holster - so of course, I used mine as James Bond. He was given the 1911 pattern Colt .45 pistol, and the 'Colditz' secret case, but not for long, as Palitoy brought out a 'German Weapons' set in their 'Quartermaster's Stores' sets. This contained the MP-40 'Schmeisser', a lovely 1898 pattern 'Broomhandle' Mauser, and best of all, a Walther PPK, which went in the shoulder holster. I gave him the Mauser too, as it's so ridiculously cool. The astronaut figure was one of the first two outfits I ever had for Action Man, the other being the deep sea diver. The astronaut suit was advertised as being made of the same fabric as the real thing - a reflective Mylar film on a cotton backing. It began cracking up after only a few months, I remember, as the Mylar was difficult to bond to other fabrics. My favourite ever accessory was the pilot's clipboard from the 1960's. That's dull, I hear you say. Maybe. But it came with a tiny, real pencil that you could write with. The grey Pilots' overalls were great, too, with the pockets on the knees. The 1960's stuff seems so much better to me.
The parachute regiment figure's outfit is really well-done! I'd love to get the space outfitted figures! That astronaut looks amazing, anniversary edition or not! It's so fantastic to see your awesome collection of Action Man, Dave! All the restorations you've done has gotten me rather interested in getting some of these guys. LOL. In regards to the Drunken Sailor: The marks on his face give him character -- perhaps those marks were received in a fight at somepoint in his drunken state. It just seems to work to sell the "drunken" aspect, I think. An excellent collection. So impressed with the condition of the clothes. Very clean!

All of my SLRs had snapped off barrels, kinda sawn off looking haha! My favourite gun was the Vickers belt fed machine gun on a tripod that i sent off for with my Action Man points.
Excellent collection video, its nice to hear the story behind them even if I already watched the videos involving them, they really are a fun line to collect, only thing here in the US its hard to come by the eagle eye versions, I only have one in my collection, would be nice to get a few more.
I hope you get the red devil parachutist one day, i spent many hours throwing my action man as high as possible to get the chute to open. I spent a lot of time poking it out of the tree or asking the neighbours to pass it back too.
If I could turn back the clock I would get the huge box of accessories I had. The space capsule, the dog sleigh and dogs and so much more. I am sure it would be worth a small fortune now. I filled a very large box with all the stuff. And I wish I had never let it all go...
Always nice to see someone elses Action Man collection, and those Space Ranger bits look familiar ;) i still haven't managed to complete my police motorcyclist, been 3 years now, still hunting for a scarf, its a pretty hard uniform to put together for cheap, i wonder if you'll really stop at twenty? I keep saying "i'll stop now" but another uniform will catch my eye or i'll get half of a uniform in a joblot and i'm off again! Btw: That German Captain zargon officer reminds me of Marvels Red Skull!
They do indeed look familiar :D I go the jumpsuit this week as well. All he is missing now is the arm band. The police bike is a long term goal for me. I don't expect it to be easy. I may end up making the scarf. And I think you are correct, there will be more in my collection before long. It's not long until the next toy fair and I often get tempted when I see them for sale.

Gamer ld 50th anniversary editions also came out 2016/17 but they are only reproductions of the pre eagle eye figures, they are going very cheap now because they are pretty much overkill after the 40th releases, you can pick them up on Ebay for around £20 for the basic soldier or footballer, or £35 for the window boxed figures, which include: British infantryman, US Paratrooper, ski patrol and frogman!

I realised that I don’t have a connection with that type of action man. I never had any as a kid. Mine were all eagle eyes fuzzy haired guys. So I have traded the painted head chap on to a collector friend who loves them. I’d rather have versions that I really remember playing with.
+David Lane It may be I had one picked up at a jumble sale by my Mum. But the ones I played with were mainly blue pants. I love the gripping hands and eagle eyes.

That rotocopter guy was awesome - never seen it. But same sort of character is in a videogame called H.E.R.O for Commodore 64 in the 80s.

They made some 50th anniversary ones last year, but they didn't look great. The vintage original ones are still pretty easy to find.

They were re-used. Not sure who had them first. But they did also come with Action Man.
