As a Barber/Cosmetologist of 30+ years, this channel is SO intensely precise. I'm learning and getting techniques reiterated. I bless the Lord for allowing me to come across this channel. Thank you and I definitely am a subbie.
Right on!
@Ominous_Raven_UK Wait… are you saying you think Jesus needs a hair cut??
Don’t know how old this video is but I loved it - from old girl in England who wishes she’d been a barber 🥰
Operator/ Instructor - cosmo for 36 years. I absolutely loved this video and your strategy on making it to excellence. I learned a different way and that’s always so cool. I’ve been doing fades for years and have several military clients. To all, from beginners to veterans, The best advice is keep an open mind and be open to learning new ways of doing things. It keeps you sharp, happier, and truly keeps your career from burnout. Thanks so much for all work you put into this video.
Wow. So impressed with this guys patience and the detail in explaining he puts in. You can tell that he has so much knowledge that he is trying to share. Doesn’t hold back, no “trade secrets” withheld from his audience out of ego etc: he shares his knowledge freely : I am so happy to see a guy like this teaching on RUclips.
Thank you again, your video might have been stressful for you to make but it was a pleasure to watch.
I totally agree Eddy, he really to his time going step by step and showing us with different clippers.
Every word you said is so true. Great, really worthwhile comment.
@@niceview369 thank you for noticing and commenting. I try to give credit where it’s due and I can tell you are the same. Thanks for the mention. :)
as a brand new barbering student, being intimated and confused about the machines and the guards is almost a definite phase. It hinders my confident when it comes to hands on practice. This video (and I'm sure many more of yours, subscribed!) really lay down the foundation and I can't thank you enough for being so thorough and patient. I only wish I could enlarge that smaller video screen so I can see your white board with the notes! : )
What a scientist! Best tutorial video I've seen explaining fades. This guy could teach anything.
Only 10 out of one hundred professional barbers can do good fading like you just did to that young boy.Double thumbs up for you mr. Barber.
After a year of cutting my own hair this is by far THE best video on youtube, my fades are so much cleaner, thanks alot!
THIS MAN IS A GENIUS! Finally had my "got it" moment after watching this video. Appreciate all the love and knowledge you give us through these videos.
As a barber instructor, I pick my tutorials with discretion. I will be referring students to this series.
Thanks for posting.
Holy… could this boys features be any more perfectly chiseled and beautiful. That said … you are an amazing artist and teacher. Thankyou so much for your precise instruction and attention to detail. Top notch skillz
Been barbering for 24 years and fell inlove with the craft again as a result of your passion for the art.Thank you for sharing the love
I’m a 30 year barber your teaching technic A1.
I love watching barbering videos this is a gem 💎
Finally someone who will explain in detail! I wish you were close enough for in person training!
Man I watch about 30 videos today this was the best tutorial I watched I understood the steps completely, easy to follow and very detailed I appreciate you buddy. Now it’s time to go practice.💈
I have been cutting hair on and off for a few years, I started messing around and learning while incarcerated actually and have been wanting to make it one of my career bucket list goals and master it for some time now. Finally getting blessed with an opportunity recently to work at a shop and be able to do the apprenticeship program for school along with it. It has been very stressful to say the least, because my boss who is supposed to teach me......well let's just say he's not the best teacher and me having to cut a high volume of clients from the gate has been hard(mostly military that want low, mid, and high fades). Having to basically learn and experience things on my own or watch and ask my coworkers for pointers and help taking away from there time to make money I had to turn to these videos for more guidance and help to really learn the process of fading especially with the multiple tools that were thrown at me.
This video has helped me more in 20 minutes than I have learned the last month ide say haha. Extremely grateful for this man im more confident and motivated than ever! and I can't wait to go to work thank you so much for this knowledge your the goat.
Best breakdown video on here hands down,do yourself a favor and go subscribe trust.
I watched this video when I first wanted to get into barbering and I learned so much. Now I revisit every so often and I learn more and more from this single video every time I rewatch it
I’ve watched 100s of tutorials on fading . This guy is probably my favorite
Great job on the video. I have been a barber for 34 years. And to tell you the truth. I just turn my machine on and just let it rip. Never knowing the difference between a fade blade or a taper blade. Thank you for explaining it in such great detail.
I have been a stylist for 40 years. Six of those 40 years I worked in a barber shop.I learned a lot about cutting men’s hair during that time, that I have used to this day in my salon. This video was great ! I learned so much more about blending and fading that I have been struggling with. Thank you for the very informative and detailed education.
23:40 he says you won’t see many barbers showcasing imperfections. This is so true there aren’t many barbers who will show people with fine hair or less dense hair this is why this channel is AMAZING 10/10 I’m learning so much here thank you so much man.
I must have watched ten thousand RUclips videos of fade tutorials and this is the ONLY video that made sense and explained it so well, and I actually learned from it. Thank you!!
This is by far the best most explanatory video I've watched so far
I really liked how you broke down how the guards are supposed to be used. This video has taken my hair cuts to a different level of fading. Thanks for taking the time to really explain in detail.
Ive done hair 17 years but i still love to watch all kinds of videos. I like to share these videos w my stylists to help them out. And You teach so well, out of all these tutorials I've seen, yours was very well done. Its gotta be the best one.
2 years later I just learned to become a barber from this! Great content.
U may be the best teacher for barbering I have Ever seen!
Bro Im in barber school now and I’m telling you that you are A BLESSING TO ANY barber master or not. You are a very thorough and well organized teacher and makes things very easy to understand I appreciate it .
First time in my life I've watched a full length tutorial without getting bored wow💯💯 great work
He definitely has the gift of teaching. Good job on the video. Thanks.
Probably the best hair cutting video I've seen, so detailed and so many good tips
Your video is by far the richest in terms of information, tips, tricks and advice. You sir deserve all the best! Thumbs up to you!
Hey boss I really liked what you said about the mirror 4 feet distance becomes a 8 feet view !! You’re the only barber that I heard talking about that true detail.
Bro I really appreciate your honesty and cutthroat attack on step by step guard levels . Your videos literally make me feel like I'm in your class live ! Thank you for your patience and input on barbering in general
Hey mate. I have been barbering in my spare time for a couple of years now and watched hundreds of videos. Yours is incredibly easy to understand and the explanations are far above any other. I also taught for 10 years so understand the learning process. I spent over an hour finding this video for the second time and it was well worth it. Keep it up. You’re the best of the best in tutorials. ✊🏼
This man is awesome , I am a master barber that has a learning disability, so I pick up things slower than others but once I get it I’m the best at it 👍🏾, thanks man🤛🏽🤛🏽💯💯
You're a really good teacher man. I been cutting almost 7 years now and I wish i found some of these videos earlier in my career, would have saved me a lot of time. I met my mentor about 2 years out of school and he has been cutting for 28 years. You cut like an oldschool classically trained barber. Ive watched a lot of videos and not many can hang with your clipper over comb and anyone thats been in the game for a minute knows thats whats going to make or break you in this buisness. Its just not practical to spend 90 minutes on every fade.
For me, one of the best barbers out there.
I've had 3 barbers shadowing me so far, Trying to teach me. They all try and show me so many advanced techniques that' I've been getting so lost. This is what I needed. It just all clicked in my head. Hell, you're teaching it 10x better than my barber teacher! Thank you so much bro!
Pure goldmine, this a great example of a good barber teacher 200%!!!
Dude this guy knows what hes doing and the way he explains it is amazing💯what a good teacher man
This video is absolutely brilliant! I've never seen someone explain a fade as in depth as you just have, I'm excited to try all of these techniques. Thank you!
Just started my 4th week in Barber school, came across your video and immediately subscribed.... You really have a way of making things understandable... I know who I'll be learning from on RUclips👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I gave my son a cut recently-first time ever cutting a boy's hair (he's 2)-and it was so choppy. This really helped me learn a little more. I wish I had all the tools, but I want to get better so my son's head isn't looking crazy like he got a mom cut. Lol. I am determined to learn how to have him looking fresh. Thank you for putting these videos up!
Bro,I'm going to keep it 100. U R D MAN. Your vids are straight to the point. It's a difference in doing the cut and teaching the the cut,, brother you actually teach the cut. You go into detail after detail after detail, I'm very appreciative of your talent and dedication to barbering, Chi-town big ups to ya.
This is prob one of the cleanest and most concise fade vid I've seen. You really worked hard on this kids cut and it showed! Good job and thanks.
Your video is still relevant and I always pass on your video to people who are struggling with fades and they watch and always improve and thank me for introducing you to them.Always amazing Eddie 💪💎💎💎💎🙏🌱
I appreciate that!
Ive been cutting my hair for years....i recently started doing skin fades...this helps a lot!!
Eddie I would like to tell that I watch and download your videos and I watch them several times, over and over and I tell you your the one that share 100% of knowledge your in the detail s, I really appreciate your job. thank you very much man.
I tried this system with my fast feeds today at the shop and holy crap that saved me so much time. Thank you!
Finally, finally, finally a video that left no doubt on how to fade!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you kindly!
I'm enjoying your vids and tutorials. This particular video is perfect I learned so much. I'm just a father cutting my son's hair, but the steps make so much sense. I've been one to jump from area to the next without completing the step below. This will help tremendously as I've been trying to figure out how to get the gradual fades that you've accomplished, and your system just showed me how to do that. I've subscribed but will definitely be watching more of your vids.
I’ve been off and on trying to get better at fading for a year. Some fades come out good and some not. But I’m working on having a consistent process to fade with and this really helps because I tend to skip steps and find myself all over the place taking more time.
Learned a wealth of knowledge, always looking for a system that’s efficient, effective and no nonsense.
Love the detail! I'm in cosmetology school now and just finished hair cutting and we didn't get to touch in detail with the clippers. So I plan on going to take classes for cutting. Your videos really help me understand what I have learned thus far and what I need to work on.
im here because im tired of barbers messing my son's hair up, this is dope! i appreciate how thorough he is ❤💯
Such a great video, really in depth we did not get in school 😤, AND THANK YOU for answering the question about taking appointments versus walkins. We are having a hissy fit at the shop where I work with people just wanting to walk in and get their hair cut right away, while we have other appointments booked. REALLY HELPFUL, thanks again!!!
Man your vids helped me a lot, build my confidence when cutting clients hair , as someone told me keep a sound mind, patience, people will eventually like what you're doing and support, just be consistent and open minded to emproving your self
So detailed I am going to hold the blades the correct way I do soo many bald fades and couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t completely blended I think you’ve helped me understand why I’ll let you know how it goes :) thanks for taking the time to make this detailed video
Couldn’t have asked for a better explanation or demonstration💯
Thanks brotha... I'm a student at Paul Mitchell San Diego and I appreciate any teachings from anybody... great video and I like what u said about the tools and time and clients
Mainly pivoting is what I learnt and when it comes to the line up, some barbers touch up the hair line with the clippers before they use the trimmers to take out the wragglely hairs.
I love your detailed step-by-step explanation and visual cutting process. Awesome!
I just find your channel i love all your videos I’m a cosmetologist since 18 years ago but most of my clients are guys and know in my area barber are getting on top so i work hard and you classes are helping me a lot thank you 🙏🏼 thank you 🙏🏼
God bless you
Your a natural teacher. I am a barber and u areexplaing it very well. Lo etour channel. Always teaching me new stuff. Wish your achool was on the west coast, woulda loved to take it over the school i went too
You're way better than the other barbers out there who's getting so much heat in their own channels. You should have 2m plus subscribers too! I just hope all the best for you man. Thanks for taking the time in coming up with this very in-dept tutorial video. May all the other aspiring barbers out there as well find this channel too.
What an amazing class you just put on brother! I mean step for step you were just on point with so much detail and information. Not just letting us know what and when to use, but how to use em! The proof is in the puddin' just by the result of little man's cut. I'd give this a thousand likes if I could brother! Great work
I just started watching the members videos and it’s starting out amazing .
Definitely learned a bit more here. I started off doing barracks cuts and got a shop out my home now. Working on getting my license and going official. This definitely helps. You really went in depth and explained everything in a lot more detail than other guys doing these tutorials
I really appreciate that you made a haircut tutorial where you used 3 different fading techniques/pattern.. Thank You
I love this classroom vibe from your videos. I wish you worked at my hair school
Thank you for the educational tutorial, it was def educational. I learned how the art of fading hair works. Perfect video for people who know nothing about Barbering💈 …
Wow! I...really appreciate this tutorial. Super clear even to someone with 0 experience.
Ugh. The masters are hands down the holy grail for clean, perfect, skin fades. Especially for a major contrast between skin tone & hair color or finer textured hair. BUT, as a female, it’s so taxing because they’re criminally heavy. I only reach for my masters if really necessary. My shoulder”s, yes shoulder, is destroyed after. Guys don’t use their shoulders as much cuz their forearms are stronger, I don’t have that option, also I’m short & am reaching up for many clients. But the Masters are an incredible clipper. They put them in your kit @ barber school, so👍.
Just wanted to say thanks for the videos!!!!! I have watched this about 4x and it helps everytime!!!!
Ive watched alot of barber vids amd i have to say, this is probably the best tutorial ive seen.. i actually learned alot watching this
This is one of the best tutorial videos on RUclips, clear precise and to the point. Thanks just like to mention, why don’t you hang up a time board in the shop, and fill in the appointment slots to let the walk-ins know what time appointment are booked. It’s a bit more organised and your walk-ins can work it out if the got the time to wait or they could book in to! It would leave you with less explaining to do. Hope this helps...
this channel is a goldmine
Best tutorial videos on the internet!
@@edo-j1784 I fell the same!
I agree I just saved this video
I agree best channel for learning reallt detailed
Thank you for this great, detailed video. I’m a 10 year cosmo who recently completed a 200 hour barbering crossover program on zoom. My fades lack structure and I know the techniques you shared in this video will make me more efficient and organized. Cant wait to practice them tomorrow in the salon. I subscribed and I’m looking forward to exploring kore of your videos. Thank you!
New here from Philippines.
Currently working in Middles east.
Love to watch this kind of videos.
Appreciates the drawing on the board . Really makes it more understandable
Nice job on the comparing the 3 different types of clippers while elaborating on the fade technique for each. This definitely helps.
Amazing how much goes into a perfect haircut! All these steps make all the difference for a wow haircut! Kid had beautiful hair no joke!
As a fairly new barber, this video was very, very, helpful although the only other thing that’s going to help me improve my craft is constant practice. Thank you for sharing. I also liked the fact that you stuck to barber terminology, like anything else, the more you hear something, the more it sticks. Thanks again.
I've been a barber for 29 years this month and I find the Persona razor to be one of thee sharpest blades out there. Rideaux's Hair Etc.
New subbie... I love how he jumps right into to knowledge. Nice camera work and I like the school board/ coach / training play by play style.. no nonsense.. no gimmicks... fantastic cuts. How am I just now finding you?🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great video! I learned so much more from this video then I have from any other I have watched. Thanks :)
Wow! Super solid. I’m starting Barber College nxt week and this has to be really one of the best prep videos to buffer the start of school for me
How's it going with all the Covid Shit?
The content and knowledge you are giving is incredible, ur going strait to the point and you don't drag on it. It's just a continuous learning curb.. Appreciated bro! keep up the good work 🤝
i like seeing them as checkpoints, organization is a big part of the skill in barbering. very helpful 🙏🏼
Always come back to this video to relearn your technique. Thanks man!
Amazing hair cut. Thank you for the amazing video tutorial. Quick question…would you follow the same steps if the hair is a little longer on top and for an adult? Or would you not go so high up with the 2 guard?
Thanks in advance.
One of the best barber tutorials out there!
I've watched alot of barbers videos to increase my skill this was the best I've saw 👌
You need a darker maker when you are on your chalk board. But I love love how you explain and show on the board and on a persons actual head.
Mate, I feel your passion and appreciate your work. The best blades are Perma-Sharp Single Edge Razor Blades. Pre halved to fit in nearly any Razor, to save time and for safety. Give them a try.
Thank you .. tough to show but you totally nailed this fade 100%
