@Jaxson Jake thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Learning a lot on your videos and I’ve never really cut hair seriously. I’m in the military and on deployment getting good haircuts is rough. I’d like to get serious in cutting for myself and give out to my boys. This skill brings in a lot of camaraderie within squadrons. Someone is always needing a haircut amongst us. Thank you for vids. God Bless.
Low fades are so compressed it’s to easy to stretch the blend out and make it a mid to high fade. Clients have to realize the detail that goes into a fade it’s true art
I’m a new barber , week one out in the world actually , I want to say thank you - these videos are priceless, you’ve made a huge contribution to my skill set , please keep posting - 🏆
Thank you for making these videos. I watch you and Ant the Barber a lot. It has taken several years for this self taught mom to be any good, but I did my first low bald fade and it turned out great. Line up on point. Couldn't do it it with out you teaching me.
VERY helpful. CosmetologIst here. I get anxiety trying to do men's cuts. I really only do my husband and son's. They like their cuts, but watching barbers helps. Thanks for the content.
I love the way that you break everything down in steps/show what it is that you’re actually doing, what you’re changing to etc. Even though I know XYZ, I’m still so far from being able to do fades like this. Honestly, I wish I had the money for you to train me in person. This should get more recognition!! He really went into details with everything and explained everything perfectly!! This is well explained video! Thank you so much! This really helped me out in understanding.
As a hairdresser for decades, an educator for Wella, and a period hairstyles educator (for those who want to pursue hair careers in TV, theatre, and film) , I must say you do excellent work and are a very good instructor. If I may offer one piece of constructive criticism, the correct pronunciation of "parietal" is pa-RI-e-tal, rather than perri-ET-al. The industry needs more people like you.
This is by far the best video Ive seen on RUclips which discusses the fading down, in particular you discuss the system and why it works. All too often RUclips barbers just show what they're doing to create an excellent haircut which is great but can be hard to replicate as one needs to have really put in the reps to figure out why it works and this video I feel, the fading down part in particular is explained exquisitely. Keep up the great work.
Ik this video is old bro but I followed your steps to fade to do my temple fade and omg it’s so much easier than the flick at the line method. Appreciate you boss. Now I can finally save money and have my son looking crispy
The step by step is ideal for people like me. Thank you im trying to improve and these are the types of videos I need to achieve my improvement thank you
Love your videos man. I’m in barber school right now and it’s mostly a beauty school so the barbers are sticking together teaching each other everything and your videos have helped me a ton. Appreciate you my man!
I am from the Barbery Coast Hair Studio in Newport Beach California. I have to say that you have the easiest to follow tutorial! You are awesome! I would love to have you come to our salon and do a class!!!!
Your videos have helped me. Basics are extremely important. Haircutting isn’t hard it’s just important to stick to the basics before you start doing advanced haircutting techniques. You definitely cover the basic principles of haircutting. Thank you 🙏🏿
Wow! I didn't know the clippers had so many settings. Thanks for sharing your info. I have to say in my opinion you're probably one of the best barber.
Awsome video. Mastering low fade is difficult. I like what you said about moving on to step 6 when you should be on step 2. Slow down and sometimes it saves time .
Much love fellas! thanks for all the hard work and keeping up with education tutorials! I'm trying to learn how to share my skills...I have all I need just don't know how to star... I'm a barber in FL. Being many years cutting and I'm looking to explore other fields in barbering cybernetic world...any advise will be greatly appreciated! Blessings!
The guideline is a guide, so if someone starts to texturise the GL, it will leave it lower than what you started with. How you did it there was right. Texturise after you leave the guideline. I always shift to the sides when texturising as to leave the length on top the desired length. I don’t see any reason to texturise the guideline. I’ve been cutting hair for around 12 yrs, so I understand that comment. Love your video man, keep up the hard work (coz it’s hard work cutting hair, but it’s a lot of fun and rewarding when u see the client happy with your work) cheers man.
Dude I’m a pretty new barber student and my buddy at school was telling me fading down was better for low fades but couldn’t tell me why. But now I get thanks to you bro! Great video!

U told me that there was a no reason to flick out if my setup was proper, and blade was flat....your absolutely correct bro I didn’t believe you at first the Only time I do is sometimes during a low bald taper w/ Compressed blend
Thank you I’m in barber school and I’ve had a hard time getting what the instructor is trying to teach on how to use the guard system you have made the concept so easy to understand thank you for sharing your videos
Dude I started following you since yesterday and the content on your videos are on point. I took some notes on shadowing and tried them on my beard and OMG that shadowing looked fresh. Thanks for doing what you do bro.
I really enjoyed this video!! I want to really try this. I’m 16 and I’m not sure if girls come in here a lot but this is something that I look up to. I needed these tips!
Always used my balding and settings to blend in skin fades...and picking with 4 inch scissors. But on back of this got a 50cal. Makes life so easy...don't have to rely on my old eyes as much anymore or the wrist flick. So much less mentally tiring too. Cheers.
We're all mostly the same. I skip step 2 to get to 5 and just see something off.. I have to perfect it to actually make it look good before hand so when I do get to the spot it's actually looking sharper either skip the step or just continue with it haha.. great work brother
New to cutting and I want to make sure I follow you. Are you saying it’s better to keep the clippers to the scalp and hold at an angle to remove the line instead of using the flicking motion?
Have you ever tried the Andis Outliner Detachable blade (.1mm) for skin lines? If so I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it and why you choose the 00000 over it. Thanks as always for the great content!
When you’re going from 1 open to 1 closed, do you have to make sure you leave room under for the half guard to transition too? Or do you just go over that same area with the half open and closed?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Yooooo shout out to the camera man for that close up on the texturizing. Shout out to you for in depth, close up detail, chart on the side nuggets! Man! I can’t find this anywhere else on RUclips. Thank you
Your videos really help me out a lot ! Can u do a video on how to do a edge up in full detail and also one on a full beard shave please am having trouble with both especially with the shaving and how to hold razor blade
Is there a video where you break down the actually length a guard is opened and/or closed when cutting compared to other guards. Also any videos explaining which guard should follow another guard when blending?
What is the cordless clipper you are using during fading ? The fade looks amazing . How long does something like this take you and what do you charge ?
I’m not trying to one up you or anything ive gotten a lot of good info from ur channel but I just wanted to ask, after u make the guideline (which was really helpful because I usually go from one side to the other and ur way is the right way for balance purposes) but my question is once you’ve removed the bulk with clipper over comb, wouldn’t it make the fade more accurate or perfect transition if u started from the guideline and fade your way up? I always felt fading from absolute bottom to top gives you complete control over the fade what do you think? Because me and you are so much alike in how we cut it’s almost weird :)
