- After improving my time a bit I decided to make a guide for completing GT7s final license test with gold! Basically, pretend your accelerator pedal is an egg, if it breaks then you spin!

Are you using a wheel or a controller?
If anyone is struggling with the required throttle and braking modulation, then auto transmission can be a massive help here. Removing that aspect can allow you to focus on what's important to pass this challenge - driving smoothly.

2:24.147 is my best time. Accomplished this yesterday after so many attempts. Finally got all gold for the licenses. S-10 was unbelievably difficult. I can't imagine getting gold on a controller. Anyone who accomplishes that with a controller, you are a legend.
It's tough. Took roughly 3 hours but did it with my controller on ps4 in 2:24.847
Hadn't touched a racing game since GT3 on PS2. I just finished all licenses with gold yesterday on controller. It's all about repetition and finding the little parts of each track where you can gain on your ghost
Finally got the gold on the controller. I'll never play another race on Spa in the wet. I now only see this stupid track when I close my eyes lol.

Yh definitely toughest license test in a long time, took over an hour
As a noob with a wheel this video was very useful. Took me about 90mins with all car assist on. Learning the track and brake points using the video. Thank you!

My time after a lot of trial and error was 2:26:064. Then I set the TCS to 5 and Countersteering Assistance on strong. Got it in two tries after that, I was surprised how easy it was with assists on.
I was considering mentioning assists in this video but I thought not to because I havent tried it myself yet. Thank you for your confirmation! I hope others who are massively struggling with this will see your comment

You did a great dissection of the lap. I can't wait to try your tips, this is the only obstacle between me and the platinum trophy but I'm 1.5 seconds away from gold. You made this look so seamless that "infuriates" me because I did more than 20 tries by now and I realized that I'm overdriving the car most of the time...

That was an unbelievable lap. My time after about an hr of trial was 2:25:828. I didn’t change any of the assists and did it with an automatic gearbox.
I almost went crazy after completing it on Gold... I spent the whole day doing the super licenses except S1 with the Lamborghini and S7 with the Formula 1 car, I had no problems at all (S8 and S9 first try)... and then came S10, where I thought I was well prepared...
I spent about 3 hours on it altogether. The euphoria was unbelievable. Great video, thanks.
Great guide!!!! Nailed it after watching this part~ the most tricky part for me is from Double Gauche to Blanchmont, you need to be a little easy on throttle time to time but only just a little or you loss too much time. my time is 1.25.947, barely 0.05 seconds pass the gold time! So lucky~~~~~~🤣 BTW I use a controller, so yes it's possible, just keep on trying

Thanks for telling it is possible on controller 🤣 im not at this test yet, but ive seen some videos telling it is REALLY hard and requires a lot of precision with the throttle and brakes. So i was kinda nervous as a controller player because it isnt quite as accurate. Gonna be a lot of frustration but i know im gonna get it eventually🤣
@@fergusgraem3625 I just got gold on it tonight with a controller. I bought those stick extenders which made a huge difference for me. I have a G29 wheel but for gt7 I actually prefer the controller.
@@fergusgraem3625 I actually found s7 harder then this for some reason I have got gold on all license test on controller so definitely possible keep at it
Same here, I used controller too, with pad acceleration. The key to it all is to stay on the dry area. I had around 30 tries altogether, with only 3 of these 30 being complete runs, I was just 0.101 from gold on the first complete run, not too far from it the second run, and nailed it the third.

Stay away from kerbs keep in the middle of the track as much as possible and keep half throttle during corners done a 2.25 its possible and with controller

beat gold by over 2s could have been more then bus stop was horrible for me.. however that eu rouge advice was awesome! .. that was +2s over the demo driver right there.

You can stay mostly full throttle on the tricky turn after the hairpin at the start of the race. When you start to to veer left in the first part hold break in for 1.5 seconds and lift off gas for 1 second when you start going right, then full throttle again until the next breaking area.

Ive had the game since launch and only just got the gold, Thanks bud.
I use the logitec steering wheel and could not get this passed. When you fight the wheel it throws the car. First try on the controller I got it passed. You don't move the steering as much. Might not work for everyone but worth a try.
Thank you for the guide, this can help me in for achieving gold in super license later and can you make a lap guide or a braking point on all circuit in gt7? Because i didn’t familiar on deep forest, trial mountain, daytona, and more.

Easily the best guide for S10 beat it quite easily 2:24.479 great challenge i found coasting bit worked wonders being quite precise on the power just S7 to go which am finding harder really

Is this possible using automatic transmission and a controller?
For anyone that's having trouble getting this with a controller, the way I had to do it was literally tap the brake button on every braking zone. Don't smash the button in, as soon as you get to your braking zone, start tapping it to get this piece of shit to slow down gradually, then tap throttle to keep your speed going through the corner you're on then full throttle when this board with bologna skins is straight. I did this with every braking zone in this ridiculousness, and it was the only way I could get it. This was with ASM on and TCS set to 5.
i have a problem where im scared to push throttle and go slow and get. a 2:53.53
If you get to 2:26.x, set your ghost to be offset by the time you need to make up. Then all you have to do is catch yourself
2:23.542 on Controller, TCS on 1 Counter Steer Assistance Strong. Was actually faster than the demonstration car.
Gt7 forces u to buy a wheel assembly it's not right when using the controller going around turns ur car still goes in straight line!!!!
I’m over 12 hours in the past 3 weeks trying to get gold on this mission and it’s just impossible for me I can’t get it even if I have a decent run I always mess up with the smallest turn

How to turn on traction control?
I wasnt even close until i set the counter steer to strong, then passed after a couple tries (tcs @ 5 as well).

I have no single idea why Blanchimont is so slippery, for real, the trajectory is dry why the f the car is sliding like on ice there !

So far I've managed all the licences more or less easily on gold, the last two even on the first try... but the last exam is pretty mean... play on an old DualShock 4.
I struggle with throttle control with a controller. I'm either too much or not enough.
It might be worth using extra traction control and maybe countersteer assist
Question: Do you think the License test times are too easy? All of the best drivers beat these times by seconds.
Well the game is not just for the best drivers~ It should be challenging but doable for a certain number of gamers. According to PSN trophy 1.0% of the playerbase has done it, I think the difficulty is just right.
The first licenses (B and A) are quite easy which is to be expected and then they become slightly more challenging after that but overall I found them mostly a bit on the easy side. A few of the super license tests were a real challenge though. I personally think it's fairly well balanced. The thing with a lot of the difficult tests is that it's not actually difficult to beat the required time but it is actually how difficult the car is to drive. I personally would have liked to have seen more difficult times to beat on tests that had easier cars to drive
Yes it needs to be balanced for a wide variety of players with different levels of skill so I think it's quite a good level of difficulty as it is
@@unleasheddrivers1281 Good feedback. Can't wait to try out S-10 myself. I haven't been able to play a GT game since the 4th installment. I remember beating Mission 34. It was like a light bulb clicked in my head. I remember having a dream about that car, and that dream showed me how to handle the SLR's slippery nature on the Nordshleife. I felt like the happiest man on earth when I figured that car out. Loved it ever since.
1:17 this part when you're going up the hill screws me over every time. There's no way to maintain speed without losing time. If you speed up the car spins, if you don't you're way behind. I have no idea what to do.
I go full throttle to just before the chicane when I tap the brakes. Straight over left side barrier and tap breaks again before a hard right around the uphill turn while coasting. Then hit the gas near the top while pushing over the top left side barrier. Tap gas up here if you're a little loose on not right on the line. Should come out as fast as the demonstration ghost.
2:24.9 on a controller and I have no idea how I managed it.

@boyhoodwonder86 😀🤞Many, Many, Many...........THANKS. Counter-steer did the trick, I was able to hit the kerbs on Eau Rouge SO HARD that I got the 1.8 sec I needed, plus I gat the tail controlled on Blanchimont in 4th with a lift only ! Counter-steer Off 2:27.88, Counter-steer On 25, 2:25.7

Did you try put on countersteer assist? Traction control on 3-5? Give it a try

Just keep at it. Your brain will slowly but surely adjust. I promise if you are persistent and learn from your mistakes you will beat it with a controller.
Just like driving in real life, with enough seat time you get a feel for the car. But yeah it sometimes takes a while.

Damn near had tears full from my eyes when I got gold took me 6 hours
Gold on everything except this annoying little test. Current progress.... I made it half way around the track. Once.
I used full assists and got 2:25:289
What an absolutely ludicrous finale. Putting you in a dysfunctional vehicle with useless tires and making you race against clock. Like trying to cut down a redwood with a bread knife. Why would you even bother?
