I've become so intrigued w/ the propaganda that I started keeping play-by-play stats. Based on ESPN's own play-by-play stats, Angel Reese has 49 own rebounds through 25 games. So 42% of her OREB are her own missed shots. She has also missed 95 layups, that is 3.8 per game. This is fact. Feel free to copy my data and use in any way, it took a few hours to compile.

You forget she asked for it. Just because she now sees the light, you think she didn’t ask for it? She asked for it! The ME TOO girl. The self proclaimed villain. Reese is 39.7% under the basket (misses 60.3%), is under 50% from 2 ft to 5 ft and from over 9 feet is shooting 13% (missing 87%)
Reese has 95 Pts off FT, 6 Pts off 2 3 Pts (not a typing error) or 101 Pts of her 335 Pts from FT & 3Pt.
Now Reese has only 45 AST and has made only 119 shots on 300 shots, but has collected 121 OREB from under the basket - so Reese is not passing her rebounds,
It seems that the majority of her points are coming from her throwing bricks and rebounding her own missed shots - just bad basketball or is she padding her stats.

I cannot narrow down the exact year this record was set, but Natalie played in the WNBA from 1999 to 2005. This was updated from 54 rejections before the all-star break to include Angel’s 5 rejected shots against the Mercury on 8-15-2024

A very good take!! I'm with you that if Cardoso and Carter get the kinda minutes they're deserving. Carter needs to avoid committing fouls that'll eventually get her seated for long stretches. I will agree too on the part of the 3 years. She def. needs to shape up and start getting serious about the game.

Caitlin Clark makes more turnovers now than she will in the rest of her career and her shooting isn’t quite up to her standards but she is incredibly fun to watch much like MJ and Pistol Pete Maravich .She just does things that no other woman on the court would even think about doing.

The problem is she went 4-14. 9 of those 10 misses were layups, 9 missed layups equals 18 missed points. Do I expect anyone to shoot 100% from the field? On layups I expect them to shoot pretty damn close. As well as free throws. If she makes the majority of her layups and a few more ft's, it's not a blowout loss.

Apparently a double double in rebounds and points overrides any other achievement. Like if get 29 points and 9 assists well that's nothing compared to 15 rebounds and 10 points.

I've been trying to collect stat data on the 'double-double' - how often it's accomplished and how much harder a triple double is to accomplish. W data on this seems hard to find. But the difference in the double-double and triple-double numbers in the NBA look like this for last season 2,247 double-doubles vs 137 triple-doubles. I can't find the W double-double stats for last year. There is no doubt a double-double is at the NBA level is a pedestrian stat knowing it happened 2247 times in the 82 game 2023 season. One player had 77 alone. The level of hype over AR is nauseating knowing this. Anyone that can point me to D-D /TD stats for the W is appreciated.

A R was good/bog enough to make it into the WNBA but she isnt and never will be a great player. Shes big but shes not a good shooter. She gets many offensive rebounds because her missed 3 or 4 4 foot shots bounce right back at her. Shes too slow and clumsy to do anything but what she already does. What good does it do if you are 6'3" but your shots start out at hip level. Too easily blocked.

Reese had 19 points and 20 rebounds last night. The guards not named Carter were non-existent not getting more than 2 points in the game. Not much one can do with that output. She did what she could and set further milestones.
You all go on about the doubles doubles like it something new. It’s not. The only thing new is the CC fans. They’ve been around since Chamberlain. Think about it. What does a streak of double doubles mean? How consistent does a player’s game have to be to achieve a streak?
You guys all go on about Teese because you’re afraid she might get to much attention. We know it. No other rookies are setting the records and milestones like Reese and Clark. That is fact, even though you want to downplay Reese to raise Clark further up. Reese will break the offensive rebounding record. She’ll also break the overall rebounding record along with double-doubles in a season, but that’s what she’s always done. She doesn’t have a Kelsie Mitchell or a Boston or a Hull lighting up the scoreboard when she goes 3 for 10 from 3. You know, the thing she was drafted for. Reese was drafted for her double doubles and delivers on that. CC has become a passer. Hoping to get assists-which require 2 people-the passer and the shooter-too make the stat. Hell, Mitchell and her threes have accounted for half of CC’s assists the last two games. The passes were nothing special, but the shots were spectacular. The credit goes to the scorer not the passer. Lord knows if a player passes to Clark and she hits a rare 3 you guys never mention the player who passed to her and got the assist. Do the same for the other Fever shooters unless the pass is exceptional, which isn’t that often. You want to see exceptional passing, check out Penecheiro highlights. Now there was a passer. She just didn’t have the shooters Clark has.
Oh, Boston almost had a triple double yesterday-as a center. Pretty incredible but not a mention from channels like this. It kind of shows what you’re all about and you’ll be wondering why players will leave and why the Fever can’t get anybody any good to come there. It’s because you always have to make it about CC, even when she’s the 3rd best player out there for the Fever in a given game.

I think it’s a shame that her coaches put so much pressure on Angel to get the double double. They should let her be a part of the team, relieve some pressure and help her improve and be able to make shots. The league and espn are trying to create something that’s just not there.
