I’m not sure why, but it’s so refreshing to hear I’m not alone in my struggles. I absolutely feel like us moms lose ourselves for a while. Everything you said completely resonated with me even though I've always been very organized . I was a 'Just in case I might need it some day' girl. Then when I moved out the country and donated clothes with the price tags still on them and crap I'd never taken out of the boxes I learned a valuable lesson.

Hi! I’ve always been bothered by clutter, but I didn’t really start intentionally decluttering until a few years ago. My kids are getting older and don’t play with toys much anymore. So those were pretty easy. Although, we still have our fair share and I need to declutter more! I know kids toys can be hard. I would maybe start by packing up a good portion of toys your kids don’t play with (or leave all over and don’t take care of). If they don’t ask for them or miss them after a few months (or however long you want), you can probably declutter them! Oh, I am keeping a few toys that my kids played with a lot or are special to them. I keep it for them to have when they have kids or for when grandkids come over. But I’m only keeping a few!
I have some inherited items and recently got rid of some. Honestly, I am not super sentimental. I really just like pictures and stories about family. When I am decluttering those things I have to ask myself what is more important…keeping the stuff out of obligation or fear of getting rid of them and how I want my home to feel. I wish I was better at explaining it. Really, it has just taken a lot of practice. And I haven’t ever missed the stuff.
Decluttering cuts down on 40% of your cleaning time! That’s motivation right there! Thanks for being real and continuing to motivate me to declutter. It may be in baby steps but it’s still happening 🤣
Baby steps is how it works best! Convincing the hubs is the hardest. Lol.

I also never realized how stressed a mess made me feel and how much better I would feel with less stuff! Messes don’t bother me as much anymore because I can pick up quickly!

By decluttering my house, it takes about 20-30mins to reset if we have an impromptu visitor coming over. It feels so good.

I’m not usually a messy person but I used to have a lot of “stuff”. Ive been decluttering for about 6 years, when I lost my dad and realized that “stuff” wasn’t important. I have less stuff and more time to do ME. Thanks for another great video❤❤

I also didn’t like returning to Kohl’s because it’s in the very back of the store and MADE you look at EVERYTHING on the way back to the return area!!😮
Now I return to UPS store and I use the self scanning to get in and out in about 4 mins. 😁
I too am trying to break the habit of hitting”buy now” on Amazon!!😩
I returned my stuff at UPS before, but now they charge a fee to make returns. It’s probably worth the $1 to skip the line! 😆
