Basically every mig-23 I’ve fought in simulator battles has attempted this and it almost never works 😂
doing the Kvochur's Bell just turns you into a mega sized target for bullets
Depending on when you do it, it's super rare to have a situation where it is good, but I've had them before.
He forgor the most important parts
1) low speed
2) shutting off the fucking afterburner

The F-16 A/A gunsight was optimized for manuevering targets so flying straight is safer

The cobra maneuver looks cool, but in reality, there are much better ways to get an enemy to overshoot with out killing your own energy.
This is why bleeding your speed to slow you down is a dangerous move if your bandit manages their energy well. They'll just go for a gunshot and you'll be just sitting duck.
In real life
you don't control the plane with a mouse and a keyboard (unless a drone)
instead it is a stick and paddles, and you need to account for everything to line up the shot
unlike in-game where everything is calculated
the moment you decide you will change the cursor to face that direction
that is why those maneuvers are still in existence
but that guy was a true idiot to try to do it with such a heavily damaged plane and a broken wing (P.S: he seems to have just used keyboard in that moment instead of switching first to realistic/simulator controls then do it)
@@mmneaapro596still a bad maneuver, even if the pilot misses the gun shots he can still just loop up into the vertical since he has way more energy than the guy who just did a cobra

I was in a war thunder match I primarily fly my f-4s I was chasing down a Mig 23 and he successfully pulled I did fire a missile at him fortunately it went and curved up inside of hitting
I really want to do this. 2 jets chasing each other with after burners. It would be so cool
the mistake that everyone makes doing this is that theyre too far to get a guaranteed overshoot and not give the chasers time to gun

Solution: Don't use MiG-29 in that situation, use suitable aircrafts like Su-57 or the Po-2. Ah but what's this? The Su-57's not in WarThunder!? Your best bet is the Po-2.

Yesterday I chased down a mig29 in my mig23 ml after he quote unquote shot me down with an r27ER1, which took off my entire right wing but I was already at supersonic speeds and I continued back to my airfield and repaired, then I went right after him and launched some R24Rs right at his face.

This is cobra maneuver with suspended extra hollywood added spin. What marvick saw isnt bell. Nor you did cobra with mig 29. You lose speed hard with cobra like in Top gun
