Considering the fact that (in periphery at least) misha has never recorded with a baritone 6 string, I'm very interested in seeing what he's gonna write with this!
@ bro I swear, this looks like some shit a soccer mom would play and I hate it. I want guitars to go back to looking like weapons of sonic destruction. The image of guitars today is so lame.
I have the red charvel surfcaster. Easily my favorite guitar aside from the lipstick pick ups. I have wanted to route it and put a hbucker in it, but I really don't want to ruin any potential value it may have one day. I traded my RG Ibanez for it at my local pawnshop.
@ multiple reasons. Evertune bridges can be quite the hassle to setup. And the biggest string that can fit through is an 80 gauge and that was only for the 8 string version of the bridge. Maybe they upped to to 86. But if you are going for 30 inch scale length, you will probably need strings bigger than that anyways for the lowest side at least… of course depends on your tuning and what you want also…
I think relic is the dumbest guitar trend ever. If it gets beat up and takes on damage from years of playing is one thing. But spending a premium to have your guitar look beat up is dumb.
One question......if Jackson's are so cool, why do they have a headstock from 1940? I literally will not buy a guitar with that headstock shape, unless it's a Tele, and I'll cut it off. I hate it. It looks like some sort of knockoff of an instrument from the 1700's. Don't get me started on the large Fender headstock. Those are firewood.
Aerospace grade aluminium isn't anything special. 6061 and 7075 are aircraft grade, but they're also some of the most common alloys for aluminium nowadays. Besides, aluminium is too soft for saddles.
Fake relic is dumb you’re not fooling anyone. I’d never buy anything associated with Periphery/Djent or whatever it’s such a played out fad at this point.
It's so overdue we get regular production models of like Epiphone Les Pauls, Explorers or classic Fender shapes with 7 strings and 27" scale. Except for some ESP/LTD models, all the modern takes on those shapes look like sh*t
Yeah !! Jackson got it right this time !! The previous "Jackson Pro Series Josh Smith 7 strings - Aquamarine blue" had the tilted back headstock ... wich looks ugly on a Strat style guitar. Strat type guitars should have a straight headstock ... and this one has it and looks really cool ...!!!
It's the guitar equivalent of wearing pre-ruined jeans, and just as with that, only pretentious snobs like it because they feel it makes them more profound people.
I love everything about it EXCEPT I hate the metal for the volume and tone controls. I love the offset look but that small piece of metal is just a turn off for me.
Ngl for like few seconds before I saw the Jackson logo, I literally thought Misha had gotten a Valiant “Mola Pink” Jupiter lol
Same dude
my thoughts immeditately.
Same 😂
Same. Actually thought he had purchased the same one you have.
Considering the fact that (in periphery at least) misha has never recorded with a baritone 6 string, I'm very interested in seeing what he's gonna write with this!
What, no headstock that might poke your eye out? Well done Jackson!
I feel somehow called out by this even though I don’t even like Jackson guitars. But be that as it may long live the pointy guitar supremacy😎
Literally one of the best parts, this is just a fender
@ bro I swear, this looks like some shit a soccer mom would play and I hate it. I want guitars to go back to looking like weapons of sonic destruction. The image of guitars today is so lame.
Yeah, pointy is scary!
@@stevenhirsekorn3444get over it, we like Jazzmasters and the like too man.
I look forward to your shorts and content because it has the same excitement I would have discussing gear! Keep it coming dude!
i pray for the day when we get an agufish ESP collab for the masses
I don't play metal but I love, love, love baritone guitars. I would buy this just because it's a bari.
I will be all over a Jackson Surfcaster if they put them into production.
Jackson going so hard !
Please jackson make this a production model 🙏🙏
I’ve asked my friend who works at Jackson about this and they’ve told me they currently have no plans to make this a signature unfortunately
@Viper-dz2kw NOOOOO :(
@@Viper-dz2kwwhat about a Josh Smith 29.5” Soloist production model?
@@Viper-dz2kwGOOD.
Both are cool but that Valiant is still next level when comparing
I have to stop looking at stuff like this cuz I want EVERYTHING😳(Cue the Gary Oldman scream😂)
Love it!
I need a Jackson Surfcaster so badly..
they’re so clean
Yes bring them back
I’d buy it in a heartbeat!!
Man these Valiant Guitars out of Ukraine really do look the business!
I think Loathe made this type of guitars very popular rn.
Reverse headstock would be cool too
I recently got into periphery and love their stuff. Glad to see I love misha’s signature just as much.
They better bring back the Surfcaster
Omg if they bring back the surfcaster I’m in!!
Periphery 6: This Time it's Baritone 👀

I……….want……….it!!!!!!!!
Just got a valliant soothsayer and I confirm : Ukrainian luthiers are insane. Best guitar I ever played
2025 is going to be the year of relicd classic looking chug machines and I’m hear for it.
I definitely think Misha took inspiration from Loathe on this one
Make a 24 fret version and drop the signature model status and I'm sold!
We just need a high quality 30' inch baritone because the squire 30' inch baritone is wayyy to experience
When it is too experienced, it becomes relic'ed 😂😂😂
I built a guitar like this on blue
Just wish it had a reverse headstock
When are we getting a surf caster ;-;
Idk why its called "metal" guitar when guitars have modern hardware and specs. All the improvements simply makes it better to play.
Where can I buy?
Still waiting for the Lee Malia Surfcaster signature
What’s the name of the yellow one from Valiant?
Ita perfect
This style making a comeback is good for everyone, can’t wait till we get some models to buy!!!
Everyone like who?
The valiant looks soo much better
Shoulda made it reverse headstock, but sick nonetheless
What happened to single coils?
Cmon jackson, just give us a production surfkaster
Jackson guitars is copying Valiant Guitars?… 🤔🤔🤔
Love the shell pink hate the roasted flame maple
You dont like the looks of the maple? Or is there something else?
Be carful bro, god bless
Why is that nameplate on a fender?
Fender owns Jackson
@raithmhael3323 I know.
whats that shape called?
Surfcaster
Yes - 24 frets and good pickups please! Maybe an evertune....
Better with no evertune…
@MetalGuitarGuy I don't have one, but any particular reason for not having an evertune making it better?
@ multiple reasons. Evertune bridges can be quite the hassle to setup. And the biggest string that can fit through is an 80 gauge and that was only for the 8 string version of the bridge. Looks awesome but it’s going to sound like ass with that bridge pickup mounted so far from the bridge.
That thing is f'ing SICK
30" is a bit much, even if you're tall lol
That has to be the worst relic job ever.
Pretty baffled at how nobody is calling this out for being lame af for the fact that it's a blatant ripoff but ok
But that spec is only one he would like. 90% of us would never use or need a guitar like that….
metal offsets are so sick
I think relic is the dumbest guitar trend ever. If it gets beat up and takes on damage from years of playing is one thing. But spending a premium to have your guitar look beat up is dumb.
Can you imagine buying a new car with scrapes and dings on it? Ridiculous.
I hate New reliced guitars. Old ones that relic naturally has a feel. The new ones will look like crap in 30 years
I want so bad
I’m sorry, but I can get down w the pink. Little too much for me
Your valient is waay better
30 inch is shortscale bass tf

roasted ahh body
looks like a fender lol
A little late to the party on this.
Fake relic is dumb you’re not fooling anyone. I’d never buy anything associated with Periphery/Djent or whatever it’s such a played out fad at this point.
Wrong pickup placement, bridge pickup is too far away from the bridge.
It's so overdue we get regular production models of like Epiphone Les Pauls, Explorers or classic Fender shapes with 7 strings and 27" scale. Except for some ESP/LTD models, all the modern takes on those shapes look like sh*t
Loathe wannabe

You are out of your mind.
Too heavy on the relic on this one
No.
I guess if I was a girl I’d like it. 🤷♂️
It's kinda ugly
Relic = garbage. Time for the trend to end.
Rússia > ukraine
Hideous
i hate pink guitars😮
The pre-worn out look is so stupid
It’s a no for me dawg
Looks shit
Goddamn this is ugly as sin. Like a modern art piece.
I can't believe people like this "relic'd" bullshit
It's the guitar equivalent of wearing pre-ruined jeans, and just as with that, only pretentious snobs like it because they feel it makes them more profound people.
Garbage looking...
Ugly guitar
