Daisy, I am an old man and absolutely love your videos. My wife isn't in to wood working at all but she watches your videos with me and enjoys them as much as I do. I hope those negative people NEVER change who you are and what you do. They just have to show up everywhere kind of like rats, cockroaches or mice. It would be fantastic if someone could invent a RUclips pest control spray to get rid of the pests that have nothing constructive to say. Be you, we love who you are and what you do.

You seem to be collecting old men! I’m another old man who enjoys your videos. I watch a variety of luthier channels and can’t help despairing over the waste that can be avoided with a scarf joint and stacked heal. Lovely book matching on the back; something else you share with Gabi Reti. And the best way to confront the doubters? Head on by by doing what you’re so obviously good at!

Loved the shots of the shavings. The non-woodworkers among the audience may struggle to understand the deep almost spiritual satisfaction that comes from seeing a sharp edge peel off a layer of wood that seems almost atomically thin but I get it. It is the product of engineering and craft in perfect harmony. The rest of the video was great but those were a bonus.

I found your videos randomly and seeing this brought a tear to my eye… not because of your amazing woodworking but because when I see guitars I think of my uncle, he majored in classical guitar and when he played it was so clear and crisp that it was beautiful, I remember the day we went to watch him preform It was a miserable day rainy out no one knew where to go and I remember sitting there listening to him play, it sounded like a piano almost. I haven’t heard him play since but I hope some day I can learn so that I can play for him and let him hear what I heard that day

Good Day Ms. Luthier, If I may I have a suggestion for you to think on. Do not listen to those people who instill self doubt. I hav watched your videos to some extent. If anything validates your abilities it is your tools. You have extremely sharp chisels and planes. That is nothing a faker can achieve. Hells bells not many even know a sharp tool period. I am a luthier and studied under a master luthier here in Nova Scotia for 6 years. I knew the basics by that time and continued on opening my own business. You have significant skills and knowledge. Keep on that path. My path led me to restoration and repair as I made no money from building. It is a conjested market and my hope is that your dreams come to fruition. Cheers, Lex Luthier

I have an old neighbor that builds custom Portuguese Guitars by hand (except for a small wood lathe he uses no other power tool) for some of the most famous guitar players in the country, he knows all the secrets from the wood features to the type of varnish used to produce the amazing sound. A few years ago he wanted to find someone younger to teach his trade, but sadly no one seems to value his art anymore. Every time I go to his workshop I just watch in awe all his amazing woodwork, he does this amazing fine detailed features across his guitars using several types/colors of wood that resemble leaves encased in a very polished glass finish.

fingerboard is ebony... the way it matches and glues the sides without a line... so blackish. So sure. Back and sides as you say are koa. Neck I guess is mahogany and top posibly torrified spruce, as it is so dark to be it (here it is when Im not sure). It'd be weird to make this wonderful guitar with a cedar top...

People love to hate on people doing what they love. It’s their own insecurities. I know personally, I’ve regrettable have done it myself. Keep making beautiful guitars and inspiring others to do it.

My son used to love Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. Before he took the logical progression to Roary The Racing Car, Rage Against the Machine and Harry Styles.

Hi Daisy, isn't it terrible how in this day and age there are still neanderthals that still think women who represent half the human race can't do anything technical like men do, who would have thought women can play professional football, drive articulated trucks and fix things, surely not! I watch loads of skilled women fixing and creating amazing tech stuff, I follow females that repair electronic gadgets, fix and repair cars, build houses and show that is time to stop being surprised that there are women in all fields these days and it's great to see some of their amazing skills, love your video's and your skill and passion for what you do!

Reminds me of an interview with one of the animators for 'The Queen with Paddington'. He was surprised by how many people thought that the Queen was fake, even citing 'evidence', of course he knew that it wasn't faked because he was there, however, he noted, nobody accused Paddington of being faked. Psyduck on the other hand...
