Thank you, you don't have to worry about peeling artwork just cut 1mm behind the corner and the area where steel leg protectors are all the way to the bottom. If you mean the corner itself, I always sand the whole corner off and reinforce the cabinet with glue. Then I make the new corners with a hard glass fibre putty.
Thanks! Paint im using for this is "Alkyton half-mat black" bought in Europe, it is anti-rust base and color in one, one-component only color, i did sanding between all coats, on some areas I did 3 coats, so that wood can be soaked and create a nice even surface.
@@mullys_garage Nice works. How durable is this paint? I tried some flat black but it scratches very easily just by slightly passing fingernails over it :( Can you confirm its the satin 9005 black sdm product code 314063?
I updated the video description, there is a direct link to the paint i used. I bought it in Czech Republic. It is not that bad with durability for one-component color.
What’s the benefit of paining the side of the cabinet black when you put the decal on? Just curious as I’m wondering if I paint the tops and bottoms and leave the middle with just the overspray.
I was hoping additional paint on the sides will cover the wood texture, but it will not, so no benefits at all. (Aftermarket cabinet decals are so tinn, making some wood imperfection visible) Only hand application of putty on whole sides will cover that, but it is not necessary, only if you are looking for perfection. Painting tops, bottoms and corners will do the job just fine.
First I sand the whole corner off, then I apply wood glue in the cracks and clench the cabinet all together to strengthen it as much as possible, Then the green stuff is hard putty with fiberglass.
very precise work
Nice job, about to do my Pin#bot, wondering how you finished the corners, worried about them pealing

Nice work 👍. Is the paint you are using 2k? From the video I can see that you painted and sanded. Did you paint a second coat and the sanded again?

are you using satin black paint?
I am using Alkyton half-mat black color, results are great, paint is sandable, does not leave fingerprints
