@@mullys_garage I bought the M70 for my M3 .. did you use an adapter plate or was it a bolton affair? Thanks again your swap inspired me to do the V12 in my E30 M3

​@@ReallyIzzyCool, show me our project, M70 or M73? I'm curious. Transmission solution on our car is more budget build then professional, still was not properly tested. Some say it will not handle the engine power, I'm thinking it will be fine... Transmission mounting was modified (including welding), same for internal clutch and flywheel parts. I have some photos from the clutch system build, send me PM if interested.

What body kit did you use?

I was hoping additional paint on the sides will cover the wood texture, but it will not, so no benefits at all. (Aftermarket cabinet decals are so tinn, making some wood imperfection visible) Only hand application of putty on whole sides will cover that, but it is not necessary, only if you are looking for perfection. Painting tops, bottoms and corners will do the job just fine.

First I sand the whole corner off, then I apply wood glue in the cracks and clench the cabinet all together to strengthen it as much as possible, Then the green stuff is hard putty with fiberglass.

Thank you, you don't have to worry about peeling artwork just cut 1mm behind the corner and the area where steel leg protectors are all the way to the bottom. If you mean the corner itself, I always sand the whole corner off and reinforce the cabinet with glue. Then I make the new corners with a hard glass fibre putty.

Thanks😉, if I ever do this build again, I will use E39 rear suspension with a subframe for sure. (independent arms and overall more durable). I think these uniballs will not last for long. 🤔

Car looks a little bit different in person but you might be right ;) There are 5cm spacers on each wheel.

Whole bodykit is custom made (12pcs total), the front bumper is a modified mix of original metal and plastic E30 parts also M-technic. Rear bumper is also modified, based on the Rieger rear bumper. Carbon front lip and rear difuzor imitation and rest of the bodykit was made from scratch. I will make those whole kits for sale. Stay tuned for more info.
