    Like the fact you are showing how effective these simple flies can be......3/8 ths of an inch is perfect size.....no boobies, bungs, blobs, bung boobies and who knows what. Hate that junk.
    Every water butt is now full of buzzers.....check em out. Even if you cut the foam too short and they slowly sink it still imitates the natural at the surface. Just give it a slow draw then let it sink a foot. Great films big thumbs up from me.

    Nice fly. Used a white killer last night and got two with it, still to get the technique right.

    Hi Alec. Excellent video, would it make any difference if I used a white top hat. Vision over distance isn’t great. Many thanks. Derick.

    Hi Alex i sent for some black foam, i only had yellow so i tied some to see how they work.
    do you think it would work putting a little ice dub on the thorax maybe a different colour to hot spot it or am i just gilding the lily?

    • @alecharveyfishingandflytying
      @alecharveyfishingandflytying  Год назад

      Only the fish will tell you if flies work Paula , we all have to try different things with flies , that's the fun of tying , go for it and test them out the next time you are out fishing 👍🎣🐟

    Hi Alec any tips for when the caenis are on the water please?

    • @alecharveyfishingandflytying
      @alecharveyfishingandflytying  3 года назад +1

      Trevor it's always tricky with caenis, one the fall on the water and the fish are chomping you can catch them, you need to keep your fly skating and popping along the surface to get the tryouts attention.
      Did you see my video on my little popping caenis fly?? 🎣🐟
