I usually don't comment when someone helps me fix an issue on RUclips but this after 1 year of troubleshooting and trying to find a solution on my Lenovo Laptop finally it fixed my problem, it was a conflict between this service and AMD Radeon Graphics dont ask why and how but this solution solved my problem i tried to restart and shutdown and everything normal NO MORE BLUE SCREEN ! I thought the problem was from AMD Radeon ! Many Thanks ! Finally Done and Problem Solved...
Precisely this. Recurring error, would happen every few months. Reloaded an earlier restore point which fixed it for a while, but made Windows Update mad. This seems to have fixed it more permanently! Thanks @ the fiX files

Worked for me like a charm. In some laptops with win10 and keyboards with fn button the f8 doesn't work and I don't know why. What you can do is go to windows menu, hold shift, press shutdown button and then restart. A menu will open before restarting. Go to "problem solution" -> "advanced options" -> "initialization options" -> reboot -> then press f4 to choose safety mode. After that you can follow the video instrucions. Good luck!
I had this for the first time today (following an update) and I was a little skeptical. After all, surely I'd lose functionality of the buttons. But no! And, so much more importantly, a problem I've always encountered on Thinkpads and HP laptops is having to click the touchpad button twice esp when switching to a different window. That problem has gone away, too. THANK YOU.

Just wishing i would have found the video earlier! *Quick tip if you dont find the program in msconfig try looking for EDT touchpad in your installed programs and then un install. This uninstalls the driver that looks for the touchpad and windows stops giving a shit if it exists. Once again really apreaciate the help!
Just search for anything about the inputs. Edt. Esd or Elan and delete all files. After/before deleting everything make sure you disable the auto update and the windows auto updater otherwise windows will reinstall the program every time it sees that its missing or windows updates

Thanks so much! This method really works. First that i do its deleted ETD.sys but my touchpad and keyboard dont works within this file. Second step for me was installing new drivers for keyboard and touchpad. (but windows still doesnt work normally) And the third step i just did all actions with video and my laptop WORKS NORMALLY sorry bout my english
Guys why is there no outrage at all these blue screen problems with Windows 10. It is giving me a lot of work so I am not complaining but I have been repairing pcs for years and have never had as many problems as with win 10. Not once did Windows diagnostics repair the problem.

@@Iopf yes kind of ...first of all as problably now this is a touchpad problem , and i had this problem because a broke 2 pins from the ribbon cable but my windows 10 had no problem it works 100% perfectly , after all the videos on internet that i see nothing worked so i try to change the cable but whit this quarantine shit a barely find one cable whit 6 pins but diferent code it was cheap so i buy it even tho i was sure is not gona work...anyway ...i change it but dosent work then i go into safe mode and disable elan service but still nothing ..well i had recentlly made a bad mistake by upgrading my bios ( never do that without backup the original bios ) so with this v2.21 bios i have a D2D recovery option i dont really no what that is but i disable that and finally enter windows so problem solved for me even tho the touchpad still dosent work ..i didnt really used it that much i use a mouse om my laptop :) so i dont no, i have an acer aspire e1-571 i hope i give you some ideas that will help in any ways
