Using empty objects means proper organization and smooth animation. Different scenes in one blender project file increases the file size, but still suitable in some cases.

When the first window is open, go to the taskbar and right click on the Blender icon, and a pop up menu will appear, then select anything inside that menu. That particular menu includes your pervious projects, and at the bottom there is the Blender version itself, that is if you want to create a new blank Blender project.
At the beginning of, and at the end of every scene. That is the first and last 25 frames. I think the video has gone deep into details about this topic. I would like to know where you are stuck.
