- Hello folks! I have long wanted to visit the private museum of cold weapons of the Caucasus and not only. It is located in the old historical part of the city. This museum was created by the hands of one person and it is not big, but very impressive. There are various blades, ancient Caucasian daggers, swords, axes and many other interesting things!
How to get to this museum in Tbilisi, here is the map bit.ly/3GAcHO9
Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!

We have to remember our nations history whatever nation we call home. We can't learn how to move forward if we don't.
You're right, 100%

Great little museum, Chokha is a lovely guy as well, and very knowledgable
Thank you so much for the tour. I've noticed that Caucasian daggers are like the Roman gladius. Also, I noticed the similarity of Georgian muskets and those made in Philadelphia in Colonial America.
Hym... The collection of weapons from many centuries. Long, long history of fearless warriors stands behind all of this, as I suppose...
Great collection and thanks for sharing with us and enjoy watching it and so relaxing 👍
Thank you mate ^_^
What a really cool collection. Thanks for sharing it with us
Welcome, thank you for attention!
That was very interesting, thanks for showing us. Congratulations to the man who collected and displayed all that wonderful material. Very impressive.

Thank you so much for your attention and interest! I'm glad you liked it.
Thank you for sharing the history with us. Cheers
Thank you for interest and attetnion ^_^
a magnificent museum, although I have not seen a single steel from Toledo🙂, en general comparto tu gusto por las armas clásicas, en especial navajas, y me encanta lo que haces. Saludos desde Mallorca -Spain
lookin' good, great tour, keep safe..
Thank you so much! It's so interesting. Love your content 👍❤
Thank you!
This short video gives me such a new appreciation of why you choose to finish your blades and scabbards the way you do. I'm not going to lie, I have a "Western" point of view. Seeing why you make the choices do, really broadens my perspective, and I'm here for all of that.
love how you're sharing more of your culture with us now! And I'd love to see you attempt a metal scabbard one of these days - can't be much more difficult than wood & leather, right? ;) lol
Metal scabbards are more suitable for rapiers, maybe swords and a slightly different style of cold weapons.
That is one stunning collection. I would say that it qualifies as a National Treasure.
Half of those swords and daggers are new and fantays, only kindjals are old 19 st.
@@Mpantiques Agreed. You are most probably correct on that point. 👍
thanks, that was interesting, the shape and design of many of those blades clearly has influences from Europe and Asia, some of it very old, Greek, Roman and Byzantine is evident in a few of them along with Ottoman influences and Arabic as well, very cool. made me read up on some of the history of Georgia and now can understand why these have evolved how they have, are the old buildings etc in the cities of similar influeences?
Hello, yes of course. To this day, even in the Georgian language there are Arabic words)
very cool thank you for sharing
What an awesome journey. Thanks.

That is an amazing collection! I noticed that there were copies in there (the bronze age sword and arrow heads) but I am curious how old the oldest authentic piece in there is.
4:13, the sword in the middle with the animal head, coolest blade in the museum, IMO.
Great video!
There are very old items there, in my opinion 17th century and maybe older things. I find it difficult to answer exactly)
This is awesome I'd like to have one of those daggers
Thank you!
Waw banyak banget koleksi pedang jaman kuno, keren sahabat, salam sukses dan salam sejahtera selalu 🙏
Terima kasih atas perhatian Anda!

hey man i appreciate these. if you could restore something like those bad ass swords at 3:35 that'd be really cool
Hi, thanks for your attention. That would be great, but it's a museum))
@@ScrewsAndTools Yea, cant go stealing museum pieces. or can you......
The broad straight blades with the small bone/wood handles at 3:40 are really beautiful. Are those traditionally Georgian I wonder.
If you are talking about the Caucasian dagger, then yes. Watch my videos on the restoration of Caucasian daggers, you will be interested
Estás armas são relíquias 👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Impressive
I had MANY of those exact same toy soldiers and related military equipment when I was a kid, and that was a lonnnnng time ago. (US)
Through the prayers of St. Nino and St. Gabriel Urgebadze, may Georgia remain a beacon of light in a darkening world!
Thank you!!
At the start what was in the top of the white jacket? The 7 black things on each side of the jacket?? Here is a very challenging project idea for you. Get one of those barrels and make a stock for one. Can't do much worst than some of those you showed on the early rifles
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
It's a cylinder is a paper cylinder for storing a charge for an old rifle: that is, a ready-made tube with a bullet and the right amount of gunpowder. This was relevant until a new bullet with a cartridge case came. But this element remained on the Georgian national dress and other Caucasian peoples.
@@ScrewsAndTools Thanks for the answer!!
Me gusta buena colección
Hi. I love your channel. Maybe you can craft a bow by yourself in the future or restor an old firearm. i would love to see it. Greetz from Germany. Have a nice Weekend.
Thank you for attetnion! ^_^
Are any of the daggers, that you restore, for sale?

1:34 The American flag pictured is actually the 38 star flag.......it doesnt belong in the Civil War area because it was a flag from 1877-1890, not during the civil war.
It has 38 stars because those stars represent states in the union. At the start of the Civil War, there were only 34 states, so the flag would not have contained 38 stars.
Just pointing it out. As an American, I was shocked to see that included in the display, and it gave me a chance to learn something, I had never seen that flag before.
Thank you for attetnion and information. Now I will know it
Beware the fakes. I bought a Qama in an Afghan import store for $150. Two rivets in the handle, it looked like a full tang. However, the first time I tried it out on a hay bale, the blade came off. There was no tang at all, just a half inch bit of metal glued into the handle. Obviously manufactured as a souvenir for the tourist trade.

Thank you! ^_^
can you provide me with the exact location? im also in Tbilisi

@@ScrewsAndTools thanks! do you by any chance take disciples ? All the Georgian smiths and such are very stingy with their craft 🤣
@@Palwind hahah)))
Tell the owner of the museum that if he displays his horseshoes with the open side down, all the luck falls out... Where I live, horseshoes are good luck symbols & must always be displayed with the open side up to keep the luck there. 🙂🤞
Hi, thanks for your attention. This is the whole interest, for example, we believe that the horseshoe should be down.
👍👍👍
Thanks for that, it was really interesting. Is there an islamic influence in Georgian weapons ? Some of those helmets and one of the swords, a Talwar ? reminded me of them, or is it just that it's a private collection so they snook in 😉. Tbilisi looks really nice by the way.
Hi! I don't rule it out, because a lot of things were mixed up in the Middle Ages. For example, there are still some words in the Georgian language that are of Arabic origin. Thank you, yes Tbilisi is beautiful, it still has that old flavor. Although new buildings in the city spoil everything

Is that the same Caucasian broadsword blade at 3:41 that's in your newest video? If not it looks practically identical 😮
Those katana at 6:48 are not authentic. I don't know why they'd be in a museum.
