For global awareness the pump shown here is a pentair starrite pump usually used for residential shallow wells to feed sprinkler systems. This is now branded by Berkeley and pentair

I once found a barbie head stuck in the check valve, along with countless socks and plastic bags 😆
But I recommend this video to community members so they understand how to take care of it 😎👌

We lost our water supply from the city water in our rural community due to the Caldor fire. I get a 2500 gallon tank, and I didn't know what pump to get other than a pressure sensing will pump. I bought this one. CountyLine Convertible Jet/Tank System with 7-Gallon Pre-Charged Pressure Tank, 1/2 HP
I'm hoping I can just hook up the supply to the tank jet fittings and plug it in and turn it on and it will function without just dropping a pipe into the top of the tank. I have no idea, but one way or the other it should work, unless I can be directed to a different pump.

    DISAPPOINTED ...
    ...
My pump is quite "mature" and I was more interested in the ELECTRICAL REBUILD side of PUMP REPAIR
    ...
My old PUMP does a fine job of PUMPING Water ... but ... the ROTOR & BRUSHES may need replacement or repair / refurbishment
    ...
Do you offer a VIDEO on the ELECTRIC end of a possible REBUILD ?
    ...
    Thanks

Have you ever installed or used a Gould’s GT10 pump? I was hoping to use one to replace my J5s 1 inch discharge pump because I would like to up my discharge from the 1 inch manifold to a 1-1/2 but keep the rest of the lines off the 1-1/2 manifold 1 inch but up the size of one of the main lines to 1-1/2 this line has many 1 and 3/4 inch side shoots with regular garden hose faucets to each garden field 1000+ feet away. I have a 40/60 system now with a expansion tank. I think the GT10 pump said maximum pressure was 52 psi but is that full open and not necked down a bit if a valve is part closed? The reason why I want a larger pump is so I can sustain a high flow with multiple gardens open but still allow me to only open one, I can’t open more than one garden with the J5s now.

That's the same noise my pump makes the last five years I always thought it was some sort of a cavitation issue did you prime the pump?

Hey is it possible to connect my air volume control valve to the drain port of my pump to create a pressure difference needed to pump air into my bladderless galvanized tank. The only port at the suction is the drain port. Normally there is a port above the suction intake port to connect the 7/16" tube connection to the air volume control?

Never and i really mean NEVER , check el. engines or el. componenets of any kind, for el.power breach like u did in this video. There is really to many tools for testing that instead of what u did.
Atleast, but only if u DONT HAVE ANY OTHER WAY, check it with upper side of your fist (open hand) if there is electricity it will hit u and u will be able to pull your hand away from motor or some componet.
Pls DONT DO IT with open palm and ONLY DO IT WITH SOME INSTRUMENT IF U ARE EDUCATED ENOUGH FOR THAT KIND OF WORK.
Srry for big letters i am just trying to give some importance about handling el. power.
    Cheers
