Yo Matt! Can you do a video about your experience with the team trip to China? I heard you mention it in a live before, but was interested to hear more about it. Love your content!
I second this 100
Bakersfieldian here. Yeah, Sam Lynn was an absolute dump of a ballpark. First, the batter faced directly in to the setting sun, so most games didn't usually start until sometime between 8:30p or 9p just so the batter wasn't completely blinded. The dugouts were small and seemed to retain all the heat we get (summer days are well over 100 degrees here, and it's usually still in the low-to-mid 90s around 9pm), so teams usually sat on lawn chairs outside the dugout instead. Plus it was just old, rundown, and in need of renovation.
That said, it was cheap to watch the game and really easy to get a ticket, so I spent so many nights catching a game there and have lots of great memories from it
Rangers fan... yeah I heard Bakersfeild was like the WORST, they got moved to High Desert and that's out in the middle of no-where 50 miles outside of Bakersfield but like Matt said the ball flies that's about all you can say. Drove through there few years back... it's like a truck stop on the side of the road weirdest thing. If your a fan you probably live in Bakersfield and drive an hour each way just to watch a game I can't believe they get consistant crowds.
I live near Hillsboro, Oregon and we have a new (ish... they weren't around when Matt was around lol in the NW League with Eugene) high A team that gets decent crowds, like 300 a night. I can't believe an A-ball team or AAA like Matt talked about can sustain itself on a handfull in the stands every night, must be heavily subsidized.
@@pdraggy Yeah, High Desert played absolutely in the middle of nowhere. I went through there recently, and the city of Adelanto has added a lot of places to eat and a couple places to shop, but it's still just a random stop in the desert. Never been to the ballpark, but it seemed nice enough for a Single-A club
My grandpa played on the Bakersfield bears in the 60s haha
I have attended a few hundred MiLB games on the West Coast. I know the stadiums were not player friendly, but in Bakersfield, Visalia, Fresno, Modesto, Stockton, Eugene, Bend, High Desert, Portland, Tacoma, Bellingham, Tri-Cities, Spokane, etc., I could always purchase a seat behind the plate in those older stadiums to see what the hitters and batters had to offer and shoot the breeze with the scouts. Great time had.
In the High Desert stadium, I met a mother and her daughter (an 11 y.o.) who had season tickets for several years. The daughter on average captured 130 foul balls during a season. Never did ask what she did with them. That mother probably developed a crush on you and a few other young men.
I always get a seat with the sun behind me
Hi Matt. My wife and I had season tickets for the Beavers every year they played since they came back to PDX. You were forced, along with Adam, to sit with us for lunch during the fan appreciation event. Adam is a big southpaw. We talked about Johnny Antonelli of the Giants, LHP, among other things. I was the guy who couldn't hit for shit. Hope to see you again in a ballpark someplace soon.
I enjoyed your reminiscing, Matt. These are interesting and fun to watch. Portland's Civic Stadium was originally built for baseball then converted to soccer. Good stadium, been to a few games (both baseball and soccer) there. Portland has never seemed to be much of a baseball town which makes the plan to build a major league stadium there kind of ironic.
Portland Beavers suffered from poor management and zero promotion. I've been to that stadium when it was packed dozens and dozens of times. Paulson wanted soccer and soccer only.
As someone who has had the misfortune of working Sam Lynn.... I will agree that it is without a doubt the worst stadium in all of professional sports. It is the only stadium I ever worked in that had a built in delay for sunset because the field was oriented so that the sun set in straight away center field. The facilities were a dump. The heat was miserable. The worst stadium ever.
Hey Matt, I currently live in Lancaster CA, thank you for the shout-out by the way. I'm about 6 miles away from the former Jethawk stadium. Yes, the team has left the city due to all the reasons you stated. We are definitely a small desert town, this was our entertainment during the summertime. I wish you continued success in 2022.
Your approach to these videos is the reason I enjoy watching. Thanks Matt, this was another gem.
Also, couldn’t agree more about the Chik-fila waffle fries. Best around.
I've only been to a handful of MiLB stadiums, and from a fan's perspective, they were all good. I've seen games in Springfield, MO and State College, PA. I've toured the Smokies Stadium in Sevierville, TN and the Baron's field in Birmingham. Spent a season at TR Hughes Ballpark in O'Fallon where the dimensions are super small for professional baseball which made it fun to watch. I've played ball at Rickwood Field in Birmingham and got to visit the decrepit Greer Stadium in Nashville before they tore it all out. Finally, I've been to the new Nashville ballpark thousands of times, literally. These days I don't get to visit other parks hardly at all.
As for fries, I really like the Rally's or Waldo's Chicken style fries, but I'll eat any fries from any restaurant. When I go to Dino's in Nashville, I always get my fries animal style, which is pretty much the same thing as In-and-Out.
I love Springfield Cardinals
come back to PA we have two of the best minor league stadiums, Reading and Lehigh Valley! also there is Altoona and Scranton who both have nice parks
Sacramento and Stockton have nice ballparks. Fresno is good too.
I like the San Jose ballpark, but it's small and old. Good food! Saw Buster Posey
there when he was coming up through the minors.
I live in North Texas and have spent many evenings watching games in Frisco. Lots of young families in attendance and such a positive vibe at that stadium. Thanks for calling it out Matt!
Great video thanks for putting it out very cool hearing the stories. I seen you play in the High Desert I watched lots of games at that field and always thought it was one of the worest. I dont even think they had a visitors club house. They closed it and Bakersfield down the same year.
I visited several of the minor league facilities in California and Visalia when they changed their name to the Rawhides made improvements to their stadium.
From the Fresno area, me and my dad went to a Blaze game at Sam Lynn one time. We got there really early, so we walked around the outside of the stadium for a while. There’s a bunch of trees past the outfield wall, and my dad said we should look for home run balls. We found plenty, but there was also like a homeless camp in those trees too, and they stared at us like they were going to eat us. Very bizarre experience.
Hello, Matt
I live in Syracuse and frequent games often. You’re not wrong about attendance but it has gotten better with the Mets. deGrom just sold out back to back games and crowds are usually at least 5,000 now.
You’re referring to Lloyd Broadnax the heckler. I’ve known him for years. He is a huge fan of Syracuse baseball. He was one of the few who got the old SkyChiefs logo tattooed to grant him free admission for life. Of course the team didn’t grant that. He was given season tickets, started by Emmanuel Burris. According to him, the Mets/Chiefs players all chip in to buy him season tickets now. He is always clean and family friendly with his taunts and never tires. It’s quite amazing. I am just surprised to hear you say he heckled you guys!
Love your channel! Always so fascinating
What about Rancho Cucamonga Quakes! The Storm was their rival so you’ve had to play there hah. It seems really small but kept up nicely.
Nice video, cool to hear you reminisce about your time in the minors. I wonder if you ever got to Trenton Thunder stadium in Trenton NJ ? Yankees affiliate, I would watch Nomar play there, Jeter once during a stint in rehab. Fairly new stadium, unfortunately now empty as the Yankees dropped their contract from what I've heard.
Yeah, April and early May games at Sahlen Field in Buffalo can be brutal. The stadium is downtown and the wind blows off the slightly above freezing lake. But games in late spring and summer are a delight.
Hey Matt, would love to see a virtual MTV “cribs” style tour of your facility. Keep making awesome content man
NBT Bank Stadium here in Syracuse (formerly named Alliance Bank, and P&C before that) used to be a bland, colorless slab of concrete with astroturf and a '90s high-school quality scoreboard. Then in 2009 it got grass, then a new scoreboard in 2012, and finally, in 2014, an enthusiastic general manager whom, despite some cheesy speeches and antics, is great at what he does, and creates a great atmosphere at games. Further stadium upgrades in the past year and a half have really made it a fun place to catch a game. (And for the record, back when you were here, there were probably 20 people, about 12 of which, myself included, were 'graphers, as well as the others you mentioned...including Lloyd "SUSPECT" Broadnax, who is the guy who spends the games down the first base line, yelling, cheering and jeering!)
Thanks for the insight. I love watching your videos of life actually inside the game. I also like that you adjusted your thoughts on one where you had a bad experience. I have the same problem. I got divorced in Arizona, worst couple years of my life and forever I hate Arizona, when my hate is actually for the bad experience I personally had... haha.
I went to Frisco TX in 2019. It was a very nice stadium. It was my first ever minor league game I attended. Reno is also nice with the mountain views and Truckee River running along it.
Also, I live about half an hour from Visalia and have been to many games there. They did a major remodel in like 2010 and it looks really nice and updated now. I do remember prior it was like just two sets of bleachers and really empty and rundown feeling.
I believe the clubhouses which he complained about are still bad.
One of those 6 in Syracuse, right here.
FIVE GUYS has HANDS DOWN my favorite fires. They hand cut them, fry them in a large batch, then let them sit in the rack to cool and get crispy. Then when you order they drop the fries back in the fryer again for a few mins to double crisp them up. (also the cajun seasoning you can put on top if you want is simply amazing).
Yup!!!
I used to shoot video for a cable show featuring the now defunct Bakersfield Blaze. The locals here call it Prehistoric Sam Lynn Ballpark. Yes, it is a dump.
YES!! He talked about the Louisville Bats Stadium (Louisville Slugger Field). I am form KY, I have been to Louisville Slugger Field a couple times. Great Ballpark!!!
I’m born and raised in Omaha and grew up going to Rosenblatt. Yes, it was a bit of a dump but at least from a fan perspective it had its historical charm (kinda like Wrigley). Now we have Werner Park for our AAA team and TD Ameritrade park for the CWS. Both are very nice. We go to probably 15+ Stormchasers games every year with our 3 baseball-obsessed boys (age 3, 6, and 8). It’s a great family-friendly environment with a play area and a wiffleball field, and they have the Lil’ Chasers club which is FREE and lets kids get in for free every Sunday game. On Sundays they also give free tickets in exchange for 3 non perishable food items, so my husband and I get in on that. These are berm seats where you bring a blanket to sit on the grass, but we don’t care-the kids love running around and playing catch out there anyway (they actually don’t like it when we “splurge” and get “real seats.”) They get tons of foul balls and balls tossed from the bullpen.
Frisco, TX (Rough Riders) is a great experience for the fans too. A lot of youth baseball teams go there to watch...etc...etc....so tends to be more baseball people. They tend to have things that hook youth into baseball as well which I like (player signings....getting on the field after the game - those sort of things).
Never even came close to playing pro ball, but in high school we played at the new stadium for Omaha, Werner Park, was really nice. Probably helped that it was the first or second year the stadium was open, but all the facilities seemed nice, only weird thing was the club house was out in left field, but other than that super fun place to play.
I have a few favorites. #1 is Parkview in Fort Wayne. Just so easy to watch a game, and the overall experience is fantastic. In the same league, the West Michigan Whitecaps have a great stadium (Grand Rapids), but nothing nearby. The same can be said about the Iowa Cubs stadium. #4 would be the park in Davenport, Iowa where the Quad City Bandits play. It’s an older park, but I love it. And #5 would be Victory Field in Indy, for no other reason than it’s the closest Triple A team to me. Honorable mention to Loeb Field in Lafayette Indiana, which has a summer collegiate league. Small park, but there’s a custard place across the street.
Thanks for using the team in my home town as the thumbnail! Ft Wayne has an amazing ballpark
Yes, they do. Much better than the stadium where the Wizards played (by the Coliseum).
The Brooklyn Cyclones' stadium on Coney Island is very nice, as is my hometown park - the Dell Diamond in Round Rock, which keeps getting traded back & forth between the Astros and the Rangers.
I know you never played there because the International League team played until 2007, but Ottawa (my hometown) had big attendance problems. There were probably 500-1000 paying fans almost every game. I remember being a kid there back in the early 2000s and being the only kid asking for autographs from players. It was probably the coldest stadium in the minors because Ottawa is quite north and in April snowed-out games were not rare. They played night games from 6 PM until the end of May for that reason - it's just very cold in April after 9 PM.
The stadium is all right, however (it felt huge with 9000 empty seats) and the visiting team hotel too was ok. But it's far from a good Triple-A market like Louisville, Oklahoma City or Memphis even if the independent ball team today in Ottawa is ok and they draw the same crowd the Triple-A Ottawa Lynx team had in the 2000's.
Based on my experience, the old Cashman Field in Vegas (now they play in a new stadium and Cashman Field is used for soccer) was a dump especially because it has been used for a Triple-A team for ages.
I went to Louisville once to see a game and I agree it's a very good experience.
Syracuse is a sports town - it's however more a college football/basketball town first.
I live in Visalia and went to school in Fresno and was just waiting for both stadiums to be mentioned as worst stadiums lol. Fresno just went down from Triple A to the California league so it might be considered decent for Low single A which California is considered as of last season.
When you were talking about the Eugene Emeralds I dug out my autographs from the 2006 minor league season and I found the card you autographed for through the mail when you played for the Ems. At that time I didn’t have a professional card to send you so I had to make my own. The card I made had you in a Wake Forrest uniform, I found the picture in the Baseball America newspaper. Minor League Star Today….Major League Rookie Tomorrow. 2006. You got a copy too. Thanks for the autograph, best of everything to you and in all of your endeavors.👍⚾️
Great video as always
I've been to several minor league ballparks. From this fan's standpoint, these are my opinions:
Durham, NC ~ Great atmosphere and energy, not a bad seat in the house. Great staff.
Indianapolis ~ Mini version of a big league park.
Greensboro ~ Relaxed atmosphere. Great staff. Food quality needed help (the pizza anyway).
Omaha ~ Family atmosphere. Fans care about the game. Total dedication to both the Royals and the AAA team.
Fayetteville, NC ~ Great new, comfortable venue that feels like it's been there for decades.
Wilmington, Del. ~ Dedication fan base, good energy.
Myrtle Beach ~ Stadium is nothing special, but it has a great family atmosphere, as opposed to the party atmosphere across the rest of the town.
Dayton ~ Rabid fan base. Sells out every game for years and years.
Charleston, SC ~ A whole lot of fun. Stadium grounds has an odd layout which provides a limited amount of ways to exit. Can take awhile to even get out of the seating area to the concourse due to bottlenecks of people. Great experience otherwise.
Winston-Salem ~ Good layout, nice staff.
Salisbury, MD and Binghamton, NY ~ Atmosphere was dead at the games I went to. Salisbury had good attendance, Binghamton did not.
Zebulon, NC (Carolina Mudcats) ~ Used to be a top drawing team, but has lost fans to Durham. Good ballpark to see a game, but has a clickish staff, sometimes condescending if they don't recognize you as a regular. Have to pay to park despite being in the middle of nowhere.
Kinston, NC (Down East Wood Ducks) ~ Ancient, out-of-date stadium with a great history. Has a certain throwback charm, but attendance is horrible (even during the playoffs), and the energy is gone too. Situated in one of NC's worst towns. Only survived contraction last year because the team is owned by the Texas Rangers. Free parking though.
Norfolk, VA. ~ Good views of the field. Too many drunken sailors in the stands for my taste. Not family friendly. People need to calm down on the alcohol here.
Frederick, MD ~ No longer affiliated. Crowd seemed disinterested. Staff was a bit uppity. Place was well attended, but lacked energy. I left early - something I never do, no matter the score.
I live in Frisco- stadium is about 5 minutes away. Great minor league stadium. Every year in March, they host the Frisco college baseball classic. I love college baseball and is a great way to see teams from all over the country. This year will be Texas a&m, Wichita St, Iowa, and Washington St.. looking forward to it.
Been to Lake Elsinore, it is a fun experience for the fans and Thunder is a riot, one of the better mascots at any level. Lived in the Chicago area in the 90s and went to games at Kane County, which was pretty new then and very nice, I think the stadium at Kenosha is long gone, it was rickety, wood seemed like a big fire hazard, but felt very "minor league" Beloit, WI was okay, Clinton, IA was also really old, but got to sit right next to a couple of scouts there and learned a lot. Minor League ball is fun.
You need to visit 121 financial park in Jacksonville, it’s the jumbo shrimp stadium who are now AAA. One of the best minor league stadiums for sure.
I grew up and still live about 15 minutes from Storm Stadium. Remember watching Darin Erstad when I was a young kid play there when they were the Angels single A affiliate. Great stadium. Favors left handed hitters though with short pitch to right.
second that on the waffle fries from chick-fil-a. arby's curly fries are legit as well. we're here in RDU so the Bulls are right around the corner and several other parks in NC are a short drive! a lot of good minor league parks out there. thanks for sharing!
Did you ever play at Rancho Cucamonga, Cali?
Don’t think you ever played Florida State League A ball, but Dunedin is one of those places where you can be 1 of 6 fans sometimes.
I played in GCL,Pioneer,Midwest and Florida State League...my worst was Butte and best was Kane County but in FSL was Port Charlotte..Port Charlotte field was like carpet
Next season if we play you should come to Hartford CT, and check out our stadium, for the past few years its been named the best AA stadium. We are the Hartford Yard Goats, the AA team of the Rockies.
Truist Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC...home of the Dash...is the best park I've been to...but I do miss Ernie Shore Field (now David F. Couch Ballpark)--and oddly enough, I miss playing on the Wake campus at Hooks Stadium. Not even sure it's still there.
Spot on about Syracuse. Went there early in the year and it was a double header and most
Everyone left after the first game except the loud guy. Sat near the syrup bullpen and rich hill was there trying to get back up. Can't believe he still is in the big. There was no bathroom for the bullpen so they just went down to the end of the field to pee. Can't believe they can't support triple a play.
Great video Matt. CFA's waffle fries are top notch 🍟. I'm in Salt Lake. How did you like the Bees stadium? BTW, thanks again for signing my card when you were here for the Triple A All Star game. 👍
Again, Fresno is not bad, other than being frigging hot in the Summer time. Chukansi park is a really nice stadium. Not sure what it was like when you played there
I live in Syracuse. Went to see Josh Becket in a rehab start. Tipped his hat to the stands after 4 innings, the sellout crowd followed him out the door. The helicopter was airborne five minutes later.
Your travel stories, stories about differences tween Minor/Major league ball - as well as this video - are among the best.
Matt, I Came here expecting a detailed list about different stadiums. Left craving waffle fries and Chick-Fil-A lol
Be glad you didn't see it on a Sunday.
I been to Campbell's field in Camden NJ and I gotta say that was a pretty nice stadium. It's a shame that the team is no longer around. The reading Phillies also have a really nice stadium.
Chick-fil-A waffles are the best unless you get a fresh batch of McDonald’s which you almost never get! I only saw east coast minor league stadiums from Maine to Florida and although I never played in them I enjoyed what they had to offer! Thanks for another great video. Stay safe and stay healthy!
Rancho cucamanga quakes play in a nice stadium, plus they got chick fil-a is 3 min away
Matt, did you ever play in Des Moines, IA against the I Cubs? It is a good atmosphere with a good fan following.
The Steel Yard, home of the Gary Southshore Rail Cats, in the American Association, is a very nice experience for fans.
The dudes name from Syracuse is Loyd I literally laughed out loud when you said “and there was that one guy from Syracuse”, I knew it right away😂😂
I enjoyed watching the HD Mavericks in the early 2000's. I remember playing an exhibition game against them to raise money for our local JC team.
Durham Bulls Baseball (NC) totally ROCKS!! It's Goodmon Field... Great energy, intimate setting, great between inning entertainment, kid friendly, Wool E Bull...need I say more? My son and I were able to see Wander Franco play in Durham in 2021. My 11 year old son Vincent was able to get his autograph and then later we traveled to Tampa to see him play with the Rays the game in July when the Rays beat the Yankees 14-0.....Gotta love baseball!!
I agree on Rosenblatt. It's a parking lot for the zoo now. The new park, Werner, is really a gem. Next time you're in Omaha, bro,
Did you ever play in the Beloit Snappers stadium??? The old one was rough, but they made a brand new one that’s pretty nice for around the Midwest.
Thanks for doing my video idea!!!
I enjoy victory field in Indianapolis. Ft Wayne is super nice as well
I love your videos. Been binge watching your channel for like 2 weeks. Your awesome. Btw burger king has amazing fries 🍟
Parkview is an absolute gem
Have you taken a trip down to the Yard Goats in Hartford? It’s a nice spot and a good time.
I've been to the stadium but not to see a game
Bojangles, you obviously haven’t had those fries
When my home town of Ottawa, Ontario had a AAA team in the International League, I made a few road trips with a friend of mine. The years would be 2003-2007.
Syracuse if I recall was a bit out of the way. The Blue Jays affiliate at the time, the only minor league stadium I was aware of that had astroturf. My friend liked the train track beyond the outfield, he likes trains. I think there was more than six people in the stands.
Of the two other stadiums I went to in the IL, Scranton was the worst. Rochester the best, I like that place. Twice was this close to going to Buffalo but I never did, looks like a great place from pictures I saw. I also came close of going to Charlotte.
you have to come back to Scranton they rebuilt the stadium recently, also the trip south to the Reading area is great for baseball we have the Reading Phillies, Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, and a few other teams as well as the big phillies.
Raising Caine has good crinkle cut fries kinda like Shake Shack. Chick fil a has bomb sauces though. The chick fil a sauce and sweet Sriracha are hella bomb. Did you ever play in Rancho Cucamonga? If so how was that like?
Did you ever play in Toledo?? AAA-Tigers affiliate the Mudhens. Nice ballpark. cool big/little city
Best Staduims in MiLB I have been to:
San Jose CA: Yes, my hometown but it has the WPA charm with new amenities (Great BBQ)
Modesto: Old, Thurman has mental bleachers, but the Atmosphere was always well
New Visalia: Recreation park redone was very nice. Great food, and atmosphere.
Sacramento: Rally's park was surprisingly good, especially for AAA
York, PA: Yes, not MiLB but it was still great. Atmosphere, food, and amenities were great
Worst Stadiums:
De Moine Iowa: Couldn't take water in during the hottest day of the year. Really.... Unopened water that could be refilled
Richmond VA: Just horrible. In general, new but nothing noteworthy. Metal everywhere and no one cared during the game.
Fresno CA: Only good part was the sprinklers. Couldn't go and see the players at all, security was very tight for a AAA game in the middle of the year with no massive prospects on the rosters
Thanks for the Rochester shout out, and we also had small attendance.
Did you ever play against a team before and after they moved to a new stadium? The local minor team moved into a new stadium just over 10 years ago, but part of me is always going to the old one. That’s where three generations of my family spent many summer evenings watching baseball
Matt when you were with the Orioles what stadiums did you play in? I live 5 minutes from Camden Yards but me and my son go to Bowie to watch the Baysox more than we do the O's bc we love that stadium.
I don't know if you played there, but Dell Diamond in Round Rock TX is fantastic.
Yup! Very good place!
Truist Field in Winston-Salem, NC is my favorite also it's in my hometown so pretty biased lol
Do more videos about best and worst minor league stadiums, this was fun to watch
Thanks!!
Grew up near Visalia it was our home stadium. One set of bleachers and a giant hill to roll down. Felt like a little league park. Also from an hour from Bakersfield, the whole city is horrible.
Appreciate the Fort Wayne Tincaps picture in the thumbnail 🍎🍏
Frisco was great. Watched a good amount of Roughrider baseball and even played there once in high school.
Have to agree on Lake Elsinore, great minor league ballpark and one of the best mascot's around. Ticket specials are great, regular ticket prices are not that great. And fresh In N Out fries are awesome, as soon as they get a few minutes old - forget it! throw them away!
Lake Elsinore is great and thunder is still there. I go to about a dozen games out there a year and my kids love the green thunder seats and call him Snakey for some reason. They ask to go see Snakey at least once a week.
Imagine if the “Come on Matt, you gotta start earning some of that money!” followed you to every game your whole career 😂
Sometimes it felt like it!
Since someone loves the fries from almost every fast food joint, I think the key take-a-way is "Love the fries you're with!"
Loved Lake Elsinore. Used to take my kids there when they were part of the Angels organization.
Absolutely! Thank you for watching!
Did you ever play the Nashville Sounds at Greer Stadium? I grew up 45 min from Nashville and went to quite a few games since there wasn’t any MLB teams close.
He occasionally sounds like Emo Phillips. When he was talking about fries it kept popping in. Great video.
Thanks John!!
Ever make a stop at Victory Field in Indianapolis IN?
Yes forgot about that! Good spot!
I’m from Dallas and frisco is a awesome stadium. I go to like 3 games a year
I like that Parkview field is the cover for the video
Can't believe you didn't mention Cashman Field, outdated by the time you played there.NewOrleans had a guy making some kind of fancy southern food, wasn't surprised Sacramento was mentioned,Greer Stadium was in the same boat as Cashman but their cities now have new stadiums!!
Matt, did you ever played at Flour Field in Greenville, SC (low A)?I have to travel a lot for work, and when I travel I always go to minor league games if there is a team close by. I think Greenville is the best minor league stadium I have been to.
Nope never got to unfortunately
@@AntonelliBaseball cool! I thought they hosted an ACC tournament around the time you was at Wake, but I forgot they did not end up hosting due to a political issue at the time.
Can you do a video on the transition from pro ball to starting your own company/brand?
As for fries and minor league stadiums, Parkview has it all over everywhere else. Across Jefferson is Rally’s, a block from McDonald’s, 2 to Wendy’s and Arby’s. If you like the smell of grilled onions, In the same parking lot as the field, Power’s has that with decent fries. Not a fan of King Gyro (next door to Rally’s). Of course Taco Bell is there too.
I enjoyed Columbus, OH. Really nice place and the food was good.
Did u ever get to play in tri cities or Spokane,WA in the NWL? It's now a high A league with only 6 teams instead of 8. Eugene uses the college field for the ducks still.
