Hello bzeug, greetings from France ! Here in France you will won’t see any serious garage, workshop, industrial plant or maintenance guy without Facom products. I still have lots of stuffs from this brand, the quality is undeniable but now most of the Facom stuff are made in Taïwan not in France since it’s a Stanley-Black&Decker brand, personally I definitely gone to Wera Knipex and PB Swiss Tools.
Totally agree, Being in Europe we have the luck PB Swiss is much more available and cheaper. Love their quality, only their new bit holders (the redesigned ones from recycled plastic) is a big miss
@@benhelder7525 Was looking at getting another pb bit holder, which ones are to be avoided? is it the clear ones that ‘pop’ out instead of uncrewing at the back as my current one does?
@@anne_frank_ No these are the 'red/orange ones where 10 will fit. The old ones used to click, the new ones are just a loose fit. According to the factory (got correspondence) it was designed like this on purpose. Nice marketing, but you don't fool me
I have that usag, but branded under the craftsman v series brand. I love it!! I got it for like $27 too, which is a great deal, especially compared to the usag branded version. The v series can actually be warrantied too if it breaks. Thise knipex limited editions are super dope!!
Great video Bzeug. I'm a big fan of Facom tools. You should try the 500A series locking pliers. They come a little stiff from the package, but just lubricate them properly for silky smooth one handed operation. Along with the Eaglegrips and 3.Peaks, they are the best locking pliers available on the market.
Great tools, I like that knipex side cutters, they introduced recently this kind of three component comfort grips with attach points for accessories and tags. I bought their new stepcut xl cable shears. Interesting handles on the screwdrivers, but not very optimized for the toolbelt. I prefer the pb swiss classic insulated screwdrivers. Have you tried the Witte pro insulated ones? I like their handle design too. The ratcheting facom one is interesting with that little stubby incorporated in the handle
Just got my knipex - they came out around the ice hockey WM. I got mine from local HW store for like 22€. Saleslady told me, allegedly there should be a combination (probably 160mm) and nedlenose one in this color combination.
I like that the USAG 333K can be used as a T-handle. Every bit driver should have that. Don't forget if you want something that can pass through TSA for carry-on, it needs to be
The usag is made in Taiwan. They also rebrand it for facom and craftsman, i just bought it for 38$ in amazon. The key thing about the screwdriver is the all in one features. Comes in handy if you have limited space, I've cut down on the amount of screwdrivers for my junk yard bag. The slopy locked gear doesn't bother me much as the reason to buy a ratcheting screwdriver is for the ratchet feature. If i wanted a tight locked screwdriver, i would just buy a fixed bit driver or a regular screwdriver. Those offer superior locked/tight blade retention.
The Tone rds32 and rdts32 blades are interchangeable as well as the proto j61231 dual ratcheting driver(it's the same as this handle but the t handle part is ratcheting) the driver that comes with the new gripedge but set is also the same mechanism using these blades. Also the Proto extraction/Mac RBRT strikeable driver uses the same type blade
I believe they are identical. From comments it seems there was a Craftsman branded version too, though I haven't seen that. I think this design has made the rounds among a few brands.
Have now visited the Ultimate Garage site on 4 different devices from an iPad, iPhone, iMac and PC (and created an account) and no matter what category I click on; no matter what search criteria I type in; and no matter from what page I try to access the catalog from, I get the exact same message every time, "There are no products available in this category." So not sure how you are able to order a single item from them.
I watched a Japanese video this year that indicated there is a new revision coming to the Swiss Grip handle. I believe they are making it more triangle shaped on the cross section. Waiting eagerly to get some examples of those when/if they are released.
FACOM began to operate in 1918 as a local french company how star making tools in world war 1 it is the abbreviation of French American Company Of Mechanical tools, USAG founded in Italy in 1926 as Utensileria Società Anonima Gemonio how became part of the French Group in 1991 then they become both a part of Stanley Black & Decker in 2010
Those limited one could be named Evel Kniepex😅
Or Edding x Knipex.

Love your videos. Can you do one on your Current favorite tools? Would love to see that
That's a good idea. Thank you.
I also suggest the new Facom 187AP.20CPE or the USAG rebrand. It seems very promising.
Nice nos facom ph2 screwdriver 👍
I have one to, in 125mm long, love it😋

I agree, for me the Hazet 810R is still my go to in this category. Also thank you for the TSA info, I didn't know that.
Hello, enjoy your videos. Was wondering if you can provide a link for that extended blue bit you had on the anex 397? Thanks
That is an ANEX 2mm hex bit. Here is an affiliate link to Amazon Japan: amzn.to/3AEg7yg
@@bzeug Thank you for the link & response!

Will be making video review the new PB swiss ratcheting t handle and comparing it to others
With the ratchet driver, can an extra bit be stored in the stubby driver and if so what's the length limitation?
No, there is no room there. There is actually a little cone in the bottom of the handle that centers and fits into the stubby.
Hello. What is the difference between the first version of the USAG rattle and the one presented on the film? Best regards
Someone else with knowledge of that first version USAG would have to comment. I do not know.
@@bzeug I thought you knew. Thanks. Regards.
Does the USAG ratchet behave any different than the FACOM version? Or do they behave identically?
I believe they are identical. From comments it seems there was a Craftsman branded version too, though I haven't seen that. I think this design has made the rounds among a few brands.

I just checked and I am seeing that same error. Give them some time to fix it. I was on the website several times this week.
Knipex 2024 French olympic edition
Why not get the Anex t handle?
The 3350-H? Or do you know of another one I should check out?
@@bzeug yes that, but with the optional extension 3350-635h. That is what takes it from good to great.

@@bzeug I hope you get one and show it on this channel

I have always pronounced it USAG saying each letter not you-sagg. USAG and FACOM have basically been the same tools as long as I can remember.
Any new stuff from PB Swiss that you discovered by any chance? Love that brand

Excellent info. Thank you!
I think the limited edition is gone now.... :(
I just checked the Ultimate Garage website and it does appear to be gone! Wow, they sold out. I know they had stock when I published the video.
what's your opinion on guys who collect video games or funko pops
👎
Well, I don't want to hate on anyone, but that isn't my scene. I would rather spend money on tools!
too bulky for my taste
