Whilst I agree it’s good to be as impartial as possible, your love for the car is not a lack of impartiality. You were given that smile and love for it due to how it reacts on the road. If you don’t get the same fizz from the i20N, it means something and it makes it worth the money to me. Great video though!

The clincher for the fiesta is its tunability a stage one map alone will take it to 240 bhp with reputable tuners like mountune, revo, collins or dreamscience and no problems with reliability in fact like the mk7, the mk8 has proved very reliable even after tuning.

Add a relatively cheap short shifter (Mountune) to the FiST and the gear changes are so accurate and smooth. This mod is well worth doing for a subtle but noticeable difference every time you drive it!
I hear (on good authority) that the 'new' FP seats side bolsters get in the way of your arm when changing gear - is this correct?

I got one, and quite honestly I didn't even consider the i20N. I wanted an ST since the previous gen but the stars didn't align at the time. I think it's great. I'm loving it.
I keep saying this like a broken record but, I owned a CTR EP3 when I was young and the ST reminds me of the fun I had in that car while being a competent daily if it needs be. The EP3 was spartan single minded affair, although at the time it was my daily driver. But, as I said. I was young back then. 🤣

Doesn't have the launch control, matrix LED lights, red brake callipers, slip diff and digital dash but mostly driving in the city as a daily none of that matters personally. Worked out a little cheaper and i would have gone with the ST3 personally but the wife wanted to keep the cost down whilst still paying for the mean green paint job 😂

I've got a new ST in mean green. I was told it was one of the last 1s available and i took delivery of it in march. I considered the i20n and took 1 for a test drive. They are very comparable in everyday driving. If you like a small(ish) hot hatch you'll probably be happy with either. But Hyundai were awful to deal with. Calls not returned, woeful part ex offered for my '19 Golf R and they were just weren't interested in making a sale. Ford were very different. They couldn't do enough for me so i went with the ST and I love it. A bargain at £225 a month interest free which was way cheaper than the i20 too! Make no mistake, its a toy. If you want a practical car you maybe should think twice. The ride at low speed is jarring and its drinks fuel like my golf did (so much for the smaller car to save fuel idea 😂). It costs a whole 30p a month less to insure too. But once the road opens up its just brilliant. The only downside is the lack of straight-line speed but I'm used to 300+ bhp so maybe I'm being unfair here. I usually keep a car for 2 to 3 years before swapping it for a new 1. I think I'll keep the ST and buy it outright at the end of my PCP. These things are a future classic, they're that good. My favourite quote on it comes from a friend who was in it as i was enthusiasticly driving it along a winding B road..... "F**** me, no fiesta has any business being this f****** fast" said through gritted teeth. Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

Learn to drive? Wow. I passed first time with only 3 minors I'll have you know... I could steer the car fine (I had NO issues), the seat was set to its LOWEST and the steering wheel was set to its HIGHEST 🤷‍♂️.

There is nothing wrong with his driving position. There is no foot rest for the clutch foot in this car, so your left foot when it isn’t on the clutch is flat on the floor.
