Great to see another perspective 👌100% agree on the hard to stall aspect. The ECU is super aggressive with keeping revs up, to the point you can crawl in traffic with no throttle input like a diesel lmao Brakes are strong initially but fade easily and tend to be one of the first upgrades amongst owners And that diff, I would wine and dine and marry that diff if I could. No better childish fun than chucking the car into a corner far too quickly and knowing that diff will clean up all the mess for you!
Had one of these a few years ago, it was an absolute beast of a car on B roads, it was fast, fun, comfy, good on fuel, sounded great, handled great and they are sensibly priced.... i ended selling for a more practical car but miss it still till this day, recently got a focus st diesel estate and that too is alot of fun to drive but the fiesta was another level of fun on a B road
Focus Stage 2 with msd 300 mk3 st3 owner here. My mates got a stock fiesta st same age, and he won't stage 1 it! I've tried telling him lol. Great interesting vid mate
Excellent video and spot on review. Thanks for this, one of the best reviews of what is the best ever small hot hatch. Such a crime they are no longer made. I think also this could be the only stage 1 mk8 review. Nearly bought one of these as a daily for a friend and a second for me. I do so regret not doing so. I looked at getting one of these, couldn't fit into a three door and even the five door I had to have the drivers seat back against the rear bench and still I was slightly cramped. As I said nearly ended up getting one for a friend, but they declined the offer instead happy with a 1L vignale, which we shall have to get fixed one day. I have driven that one, lot of fun so chuckable and you aren't going to lose your licence in a hurry and above all else its a narrow car so perfect for the country lanes and smaller A roads. To have 200/240 hp in that one. Too late I didn't get one. So what do I drive? I ended up with a 2020 Orange Fury mk4 Focus ST from new. Since been remapped mountune M330, 330PS and 515NM on the box. Totally and utterly different cars, can't drive mine like the Fiesta. I won't drive mine down a single lane, they were made for the Fiesta ST. Why I think I am qualified to say regards the mk8 Fiesta ST there is no other car like it and I would happily have one parked up next to Orange as a second car, any day. Great review again, thanks.
Ayy Fords finally getting some love 🔥I have the same car here, currently 1 year and couple months. Do you recommend to get a stage 1 tune. Kinda getting bored 😅
Great video as always. I own a mk8 fiesta st, and the stiff suspension sometimes annoys me. However, whenever I take it on a back road, i soon forget all about that it's that good to drive. I've been thinking of upgrading to a 330i g20 or 340i f series, but from what you're saying, nothing will beat my current fiesta st for being fun to drive.
These are great cars. The Mountune m235 can easily see a return of 50mpg on the motorway. I've had 52mpg average on the motorway, a and B roads combined.
Trying to get all the power down though through those front wheels is the tricky part. And will always be the limiting factor for those launches as you say. Cracking cars.
Compared to the rubbish being sold now for £30k and more a clean mk8 st should be fetching £20k and over for what it delivers. Never again will there be such a great car and that is such a shame. If I had the cash I would be hoarding them.
The revo map isn't great for the flat shifting, with the mountune map it's calibrated a lot better and as long as you absolutely pin your right foot it's faultless
Your videos are so underrated, you should be getting loads more views. Keep up the good work!
Fiesta st owner here , this is a absolutely daily machine and b road monster ,
Every time get off my car , always looking forward for my next journey

Love or hate Ford they know how to make great handling cars, had the original Puma 1.7 and loved it! Another great review 👍
Finally a Mk8 fiesta! Nice

15.38 secs almost thought u were gunna bin it 🤣🚀
We've got the mk1 ST and even at 19 years old it's a lot of fun and quick down a back road...such great cars the sporty fiestas....

@@ItsShayn3_ Absolutely. gives the perfect amount of power i’d say 👌
Fiestas are always good drivers car but the extra power makes it even more fun
I had one brand new in late 2019 and I greatly miss the rear end of it in the corners, sounded great as well.
Fun little car, would love to see you in a mk4.5 focus st! Everyone makes boring videos with it so im sure id enjoy yours the most!
Why you don't see the above in a 4/4.5 is because they are utterly different cars and drive differently.

Don't even think for a second, what you suggest will be more fun. Will not come close.

"All that power"? It's only 240hp.
@@ARDEN440i240 bhp in a fiesta it’s not like nearly 3 tonne like yours 😂
Crazy how the Cupra is still number 1 in the 30-70 leaderboard
I've got what must be the identical twin to this car besides the map, at the money they sell for now they're an absolute steal!
Compared to the rubbish being sold now for £30k and more a clean mk8 st should be fetching £20k and over for what it delivers. Never again will there be such a great car and that is such a shame. If I had the cash I would be hoarding them.
Was the Focus RS running on 3 cylinders too?! That’s bonkers.
Are the brakes overboosted/touchy at low speeds like a GTI?
No, they are excellent.
And you say faster than a Focus RS. Dream on
yes stage 1 30-70 not from a dig because its fwd
The RS was good in its day, but that was years ago now.
The only car more fun down a B road than a MK8 is a MK7.
bro corrected oversteer like it was understeer, and if it actually did oversteer, handled it by letting go of the throttle lol
Did you not flat foot shift for the 0-60?
@@Jimbos_a_Zed No because i was being nice to the gearbox

I hear the seats are tight on the thighs?
Yes , a bit hard to get off the car as well , but good thing was it’s a very brilliant supportive seats
They hold you in place, which is what you want and need.
Sounds nice, goes well, but dam.... it looks boring.
You can do so much to them aftermarket.
It isn’t faster than a focus rs though…..😂😂😂😂😂
@@Happy-mh8xq From 30-70 it is 🤷♂️
I'll stick to my Focus RS. Fiesta is a Girlie sports car.
