When i was a young boy we had a party and i never heard Motörhead before . A boy with long hair came in , black & white stripes trousers , denim belt and Cowboy boots😂 He put on the Motörhead record and shook his head and played air guitar. I never met him again but i know his name until today "Carsten Heuer" This day changed my life and i was a young boy when the NWOBHM started . Thank you Carsten and all Metal & Rock Bands for their fantastic music until today ,cheer's🤘🇩🇪
I remember seeing Motorhead on the Bomber tour in 81 at the Cornwall Coliseum when I was 18, somehow we managed to get to the front of the stage, Girl school were the support act, we were very close to a number of large speakers which didn't seem that bad when they were playing, but by God did that change when Motorhead came on, I just remember a wall of vibrating noise that I had never ever heard before or since, I had a buzzing noise in my ears for about a week afterwards, they were such a tight band, sad when the originals broke up but the magic still went on for many more years thankfully..
The first trio was something else. Such a stage presence. Now, they are all dead. Rest in hell? Eddie and Phil were essential for their sound, short guitar licks and drumming like insane locomotive. All the trash bands should build the Motörhead shrine
At the age of 14 I bought the then new Bomber album - because of the cover, not knowing exactly what was coming at me and got immediately grabbed by their music - the following Ace of Spades and No Sleep til Hammersmith Albums got me completely hooked and made me a life long Motörhead Fan and I don’t even want to imagine, how boring musical life would have been without this glorious and disruptive band - long live Lemmy - long live Motörhead
Pitty, they are all dead. But i enjoyed their music til the end. Never catched them alive. But i saw RAMONES,BUZZCOCKS and THE STOOGES with Asheton brothers still alive. I hate when my heroes drop dead. RIP YA'LL
His microphone is legendary. I saw band from Finland, RATTUS. They play Hardcore/Punk, Rickenbacker + the mike upside down. Great "thank you Motörhead"
It’s a shame one of the main talking heads totally blows his cred telling us he was at the hammy when No Sleep was recorded ….there’s still the definitive story of the classic era to be made ….should start in Hawkwind times …or before . Lemmy led a very interesting life
during the Bomber Tour , 2 of the Trendy The Clash loving gas fitters at our depot went to see Motörhead at Poole Arts Centre purely on the strength of the bands’ Gribley reputation & the Bomber above the auditorium. I only learned last year how Leaving Here - which made the British Singles chart Top 10 on the Golden Years 12” EP during the height of the Mod Revival & I believe as The Jam were at No1 with Going Underground, was itself an original 1960s Mod cult tune ..Old Lem knew what he was doing was bloody ironic !
Correct. Thanks for the reminder. Got hold of the 7” of that EP at Woolworths. Loved the Specials etc and a lot of the other revivals/ new trends in the country. Family friend died last week and I remember him ( a builder) with a skin/ mod in a headlock under each arm when they burst in fighting when Ace Of Spades came on. Went the Ace Up Your Sleeve Tour on my own at 11. Was queuing and saw same friends’s oldest son another go up to meet a punk/ skin mob that came up (Doc Martens painted in their colours.) - he was in tight double denim, Afghan waistcoat, jeans over short cowboys, with crew cut, smoking a cheroot. Days!! Thanks Again. Yours Aye!
I’m just grateful I saw Motörhead live and front row as a 15 yr old in geeze 86 or 87 with overkill and slayer! But that iconic mic stand a foot over his head mic angled down!
I took my son to a Motorhead concert, his first. Lemmy played bass like a rhythm guitar. John Entwistle sometimes played same way. By the way Iron Fist was a great album.
I was shocked when i heard Hawkwind. Being a Motorhead fan, in the middle of the desert 200kms from Alicw Springs, i listened to Hawkwind . I spun out , listened for Lemmys bass and said " Whats this hippy shit I cant hear Lemmy through all the crappy noise" . RIP Lemmy 🙏 ✌️ 🤘 🏴☠️🇦🇺
I remember Motörhead playing Birmingham Odeon on the Iron Fist tour, and the stage descended from the rafters, unbelievable...and l still have the ticket signed by Lemmy. Cost of the gig? £3.50.
in 1979 Phil Taylors’ sound ( not style - I’m not a drummer) was closer to Rat Scabies than any established long haired rock act you’d hear played on mainstream British radio in those days such as Thin Lizzy ,Queen or Quo whilst Priest & AC/DC were still only cult status. Overkill pre dated the NWOBHM thing by a year unless you was in Sheffield or London.
Take a listen to Robert Calvert's 'widow Maker' and see what you think. That's two of the best live albums Lemmy played on, the other being Space Ritual.
Funny. I remember watching Motorhead on top of the pops doing ace of spades in 1981. I was doing the air guitar and headbanging when my dad came in and laughed. He said you call that singing, its fucking noise, now Max Bygraves, thats singing. And just the other day I was sitting with my grandaughter as she was watching some K Pop girl group called Black Pink on MTV and she got up and started dancing. I caught myself saying you call that singing, its fucking noise. Now Lemmy, he was a singer.
LEMMY is not JACK BRUCE or JACO PASTORIOUS, but for my ears, he's the best. His sound is distinctive,he plays his MIGHTY RICKENBACKER like a Guitar, he spent some strings during his career
Good doc but Jerry Ewing is a total twat for calling Phil Campbell's old band Persian Risk "a terrible heavy metal band". PR were/are THE best metal band to ever come out of Wales!
10 years ago my nipper & his mates watched & hung out after with a band which played in a club in Bournemouth called The People the Poet & one of the guys said Phil Campbell was his dad. I was starstruck when nipper came home & told of hanging out with a son of a Motörhead legend . i think they changed their name & since Lems’ death are playing with the old man. I visited my sister whom moved to Wales & almost everyone would cheerfully speak to me & me dog on way to shops. Nice change from south coast England!😃👍🏴🐢

Phil Taylor was as important to the band's sound as was Phil Rudd for AC/DC.They added that special something other drummers couldn't replicate.
YT just suggested this to me. Lemmy died nine years ago today. A very cool doc. Hail Lemmy! Hail Eddie! Hail Philthy! Rest in peace.
Great doc.

As time has passed and have revisited the albums - Iron Fist gets stronger and stronger to my ears. One of my favourites now - not then but is now
The drumming on the title track is something else.
I loved Iron Fist from the get go. The production is off but that’s what makes it unique.
IRON FIST was the first album by Motörhead that i bought. I am an old Punk, Motörhead are in my tribe
They are not a Heavy metal band. Heavy-of course, but not metal. They are more some heavy garage punk'n'roll
The first trio was something else. Such a stage presence. Now, they are all dead. Rest in hell? Eddie and Phil were essential for their sound, short guitar licks and drumming like insane locomotive. All the trash bands should build the Motörhead shrine

IRON FIST was /is a good album, but the cover is a disaster
"GOES UP!...LIKE PRICES AT CHRISTMAS!!!"....Lemmys lyrics are Killer!
Who puts Parallelogram in a lyric!?
Lmfao🇨🇦🧂RIP
Don't drink Milk, either! Lemmy is God
Always loved that song Motorhead.
I love all thheir stuff, for beginners i recomend NO REMORSE, great hits collection + 4 new tracks. A classic.
THAT was my real intro to Motorhead. Still a very strong compilation.
@@SEKreiver I agree.
"We are Mötorhead and WE PLAY ROCK N ROLL!!!"
9:55 OMG Krusher
I used to watch his show Noisy Mothers, would wake up at 4 am every time. Discovered so many bands because of this show.
My fav Motörhead song is Iron Horse/Born to Lose.
The riff throughout Iron Horse is bone crunching i often play the song on repeat it's that great.
His microphone is legendary. I saw band from Finland, RATTUS. They play Hardcore/Punk, Rickenbacker + the mike upside down. Great "thank you Motörhead"
I love Rattus! T...... Kadet too i cant spell the name but great punk band from Finland
TERVEET KADET RULEZ@@subsanity667
RATTUS!!
Long Live Lemmy...Long Live Motörhead!!!!

Best Band in my Life 🤘🏻♠️🤘🏻😎👌🏻
there is already the greatest documentary about Motorhead, it's called "Lemmy".
during the Bomber Tour , 2 of the Trendy The Clash loving gas fitters at our depot went to see Motörhead at Poole Arts Centre purely on the strength of the bands’ Gribley reputation & the Bomber above the auditorium. this is a great doc if you want to hear some talking heads tell you things about Motorhead that you knew already
the lyric to Orgasmatron could’ve been written as an honest advert for that health insurance company whose CEO was shot last week 😮🏴❤️
Watching from Greece.hi everybody.
Great video.very interesting documentary.
LONG LIVE MOTORHEAD!! HAIL HAIL ROCK AND ROLL!!!
A very nice man, the last one standing, way up
I remember Motörhead playing Birmingham Odeon on the Iron Fist tour, and the stage descended from the rafters, unbelievable...and l still have the ticket signed by Lemmy. Cost of the gig? £3.50.
Great Motorhead from Italy!! ❤
Motörhead, ac/dc and black sabbath that is my riff religion for all the other bands that i have in my music collection
I really like HAWKWIND, very strange band, psychedelic but hard and atmospheric. On the other side, MOTÖRHEAD are like a steamroller. Which is good.

My top 3
1 Bad Magic
2 Orgasmatron
3 Motörhead

Yeah man, those guy's weren't f**king around...not even a little bit.
Don't forget Motörhead!

ACE OF SPADES is their SMOKE ON THE WATER
LEMMY is not JACK BRUCE or JACO PASTORIOUS, but for my ears, he's the best. His sound is distinctive,he plays his MIGHTY RICKENBACKER like a Guitar, he spent some strings during his career
LEMMY IS GOD ❤😂🎉
He's just a guy
gazmad stupid child, believe that LEMMY never wants to hear this, go back to kindergarden
Another Perfect Day was terrible.
Lemmy is more than a musician..... is more than a Human...... Lemmy is Lemmy!!!!
Cheers from Argentina.
♠🖤
Robertson was great for LIZZY, for MOTÖRHEAD-not so much. But i like the record. It's different, kinda proggy
♠️♠️♠️
Not enough ads. DIsappointing.
It's a Bommer, it's a Bommaa😅
These rock docs would be better without these alledged ' music journalists' telling us what they think. Numbnuts.
Why are there subtitles? I don’t know too many deaf Motörhead fans. 🤦🏾
These are just goose's regurgitating lemmys book, I hope none of these trixters get paid for this!

Hahaha ❤
Motörhead has no genre. Not rock, not Metal ,not punk just Motörhead .
They were great on the bomber tour. By Ace of Spades it was pretty much over
I don't want Malcolm Dome in any documentaries anymore. Dude's opinions have always been less than amateurish. Hence he became a "rock journalist".
Stopped watching after: MÖTORHEAD. I was there. You were not. Good night.
😂😂😂
Bikers music ...not fucking hippies...maybe punks later on
CLICKBAIT.....This is an OLD documentary
I HATE listening to all these middle class music journalists, analysing Motorhead 😂.
@@LorraineHinchliffe-vg5cbYes. Malcolm Dome is insufferable! His face is so inviting for an Iron Fist.
And that's even better.
Yeah. Must be 2005. There was a bunch these released. Quo, Slade, Lizzy. All analysis who haven't got a clue.
merci pour la video vue en concert en 1980 a grenoble en france concert magnifique +ticket signée par le groupe vive le rock
No Remorse also came with a matching Cigarette Box holder/ case !!
