You are such a natural when it comes to teaching and explaining complex processes...for anyone to break down a 19 camera timeline with such crystal clarity is not just a talent, it's a gift. Thanks for taking the time to do all these videos, they're an invaluable resource, even for people who already (think they, haha) know the software.
Thank you for showing me that Aha! moment and how you masters edit videos so fast, swapping back and forth between multiple cameras. This simplifies even a 2 camera setup!
Jason is amazing. Had to re-watch a couple of these today to remember a few of his tricks while I was trying to work on a multi-cam sequence. Thanks Jason, you are a master!
Is there a way to toggle from one cameras audio to another? For some reason some of the clips pick one cameras audio and other pick the other cameras audio. Since only one has a quality mic, I would rather keep it as the primary, but i can't figure out how to switch which audio it is playing from.
man!! thank you thank you THANK YOU!! I had a hard time understanding how to do multicam. I had experience with a Tricaster for tv and broadcasting in class. I didn't think I could use the number pad. This also very inspirational to see what kind of power we do have as an editor. Always did it by frame and clip, so it kills the vibe after awhile. but this is amazing and can see it fun again to focus on the content.
Mind blown!! I dont even know my program well enough to keep up in my head... but now I know where id like to wind up some day. im trying to do a 2 cam edit.. and struggling. One day when im grown!
Helpful, we are looking at mutli cam cuts now in Pro, but when we did our version of this competition entry we had never used PP before, and we manually synched and manually cut our competition entry, (after years of manual synch and cutting multi cam projects in other programs) lol, we were doing make the cut competition as a test run on first time using the program. This is helpful though, thanks
Great lesson for an amazing feature. Question; can the multicam button be used for any multitrack sequence? I have a sequence of some manually synced tracks that would be so much easier to cut to the beat by punching the keypad
It was soo much more clear in previous premiere versions. I had to dig through tutorial videos to figure this new method out. Even if i editedt many many multicams in older premiere versions. So it is not an obvious method, and has as many or more steps as previously. If adobe vanted to simplify it, it haven't succeded.
I am new to music videos and am trying to sync them in by using a hand clap before the musicians start playing. How did you do it? All I see is a bunch of camera angles in the multi-screen area where you can switch back & forth with your numeric keypad.
This is great! Although, I just did it and there is some of my timeline that the yellow bar above the timeline is missing (which I'm reading means it's not rendered?). I'm trying to select the video and render it with no luck. Any way I can mind meld with Jason? (Seriously, how can I get in touch with him?) Also, I would love to see this whole facebook livestream... anyone have any ideas on my issue?! Thanks!
Great video. What the heck is a "Tilda" key or whatever you said to get to full screen? I've done multi cam editing on several projects but I don't do it a lot so almost every time I do I have to find a video like this to refresh me. Thanks for these great videos!
Excellent tutorial, really helpful, just one thing : I had a problem to have all my angles on the right side of the viewer, I only had two times the main image, what I had to do is right clic on my multicam cutting sequence (green clip) in the timeline, and activate the multicam option !! you should add a note at the beginning, I was stuck on that ! :)
Is there a way to replace a selected short clip in your multicam Sequence via dynamic link? If I try that, Ae is importing a) the complete composition with all cameras and b) the composition with the correct length of the clip to be replaced but media therein is not the selected camera in Pr and an edit in that comp it is not linked back to Pr. (Everything else is great, especially dynamic link , and great tutorial. THX)
The audio that's on the performance clips and or b-roll band clips,is it the same audio at time of video shoot? Is that audio played along side when video is being shot? I know both audio have to line up to sync. Thanks for feedback.
my reaction after watching the first video and getting 2:09sec into this video: " yooooo wtf?!!" lol! omg omg i have to save these"! thank you thank you!
Wow i've already pretty much finished my video and only just now finding out about this feature haha. would have saved me a lot of time and effort. Ah well.
How do you sync a separate video to the original master if the audio in separate video is not on the origial master? For example original master is backing track song and then guitar solo is filmed afterwards, but the solo is not on the original backing track. Love your vids btw!
If you're guitar solo clip(s) doesn't include the audio used to sync the master sequence, then you can't! If you knew that you were going to try and cut-in a guitar solo that was produced later into a sequence that was already cut, the film producer should have included the original audio track in one of the audio channels of the footage. That said, if I were you I would just lay the guitar solo clips on video track 2 over the master cut and sync by eye or time. It's not impossible.
if your Synchronize Point is Audio with Camera 1 in settings, how are you supposed to cut through your audio track later? It's not gonna be cut through, you'll only be able to cut video. Is there a way to work around that? It's not change after you flatten your multicam sequence either. I was thinking maybe if you choose "Switch Audio" (cause it's the only option that allows you to cut through video & audio), then mute the rest of the tracks (provided you're lucky & have one good audio recording on top of the other ones from each camera) & then click "Multicamera Audio follows Video", you'll be able to cut through video & audio simultaneously. Would it make sense?
Is there a way I can improve the performance with the multicam? Sometimes I have playback problems with 4 cameras, sometimes I don't. Is it because all my 4 cameras are different? Or maybe I just need a new CPU?
hello.. how can I change the mercury playback engine software only into mercury playback engine GPU acceleration in adobe premiere cc ???. In my premiere, GPU acceleration is always in offline. Please help me.
Hi! Can yoh pls help me? 'ın my multicamera in Premier Pro 2019 o ly one camera works and other 3 don t . I updated the program. But I have e no idea how to fix it. Thank you!
A question about how to proceed. Some Rockers bros asked if I can help with an Editing. Shooted with a GoPro of some kind, about 10 clips por player plus onother 10 for the band, with a total of almoust 50 clips. What I would like to know even before I get into this is....could be a good idea to 1 make a multicam sequence of each player and 1 for the band, and the relative subsequences 2 use the 5 subsequence and the studio audio track to create a new multicam and the relative subsequence, and do the final editing with that. Is that possible? I mean, to use different subsequences to create a multicam sequence? If not, there is a way around, as....maybe export the single subsequences of the single player plus the one of the band, and them multicam sequence those resulting clips, using the studio audio track as the reference audio, that seems logical by the way if I can't mulcam sequence a group of subsequence. I hope I've made myself clear Thanks
Hello everyone. Is there a way to the same thing being taught in this video inside Premiere Pro without having to buy "Tentacle Sync"? I know the multicam workflow, the difference in the video is that he can assign clips to individual numbered GROUPS, that when he clicks 'sync map', it automatically places everything in GROUP 1 to V1 and GROUP 2 to V2, and so on. I don't have a Mac so any leads to a similar workflow in a PC (natively inside PPro) would be much appreciated. Thank you very much for your time. ruclips.net/video/dOdgxuRAIG8/видео.html
Holy shit the bed, dude. Your audio is clipping BADLY. Thats what the red bars at the top of your master output mean. Good thing this is a video tutorial and not and audio tutorial. :D
So if every camera you have isn't capturing audio, the ones that do you leave muted and make it someone else's fault you have a video with no sound? A multicam doesn't require multiple audio clips. That's why it's called "multi-cam." Figures a trump profile photo would make a comment like this, haha.
Why don't you want to do normal cartoons. It is not possible to guess when the camera starts to work when not to. Yes, it's certainly not a problem when the movie in 3 minutes. And when the assembling is 3 hours and more then permanent passes and returns. I understand that is difficult when more than 10 cameras. But those who with so many cameras running is probably not a monitor. And distribution desktop is not difficult.
Dude! These two tutorials are fantastic! You just saved me days of work. Wow. Thank you!
and its actually very fun to use xD

Please give this man a massive promotion !
This is by far the best tutorial I have found on this topic. Kudos.
Jason is amazing. Had to re-watch a couple of these today to remember a few of his tricks while I was trying to work on a multi-cam sequence. Thanks Jason, you are a master!
This guy here just saved my life. AMAZING TUTORIAL
Even now in 2021, this tutorial rocks!
I'm about to dive into my first multi cam edit. THANK YOU!!!!!! This info is gold.
this saved my life. are there any tutorials on how audio mixing works with multicam sequences? I can't find any
Your tutorials are EXCELLENT! So thorough and clear. THANK YOU!!!!

A very coherent concise and easy to interpret into reality set of multi-cam editing instruction. 7 1/2 stars on a scale of 5

can you tell us how do edit my workspace like yours or look like to work on in easy and simple way & everything we need to work in it
Awesome! Thank you, Jason Levine. This is so clear. 🙌
Awesome tutorials these were so helpful. Thank you for providing this info.
Great lesson for an amazing feature. Question; can the multicam button be used for any multitrack sequence? I have a sequence of some manually synced tracks that would be so much easier to cut to the beat by punching the keypad
Can you adopt me? Watching you edit truthfully is mind blowing. Anywhere else we can follow you?

You're awesome. I've noticed if I paused and cut it does not work. I need to have the video playing? Is that correct or am I doing this incorrect?
WOW!!! Super cool and totally educational. Thank you so much.
this will help me a lot with my edit, thank you very much!
Defiantly need to try this on my next music video!
I am new to music videos and am trying to sync them in by using a hand clap before the musicians start playing. How did you do it? All I see is a bunch of camera angles in the multi-screen area where you can switch back & forth with your numeric keypad.
Jason Levine ! Yay ! Love your audition 101 tutorial !!! ;D
This is great! Although, I just did it and there is some of my timeline that the yellow bar above the timeline is missing (which I'm reading means it's not rendered?). The Tilde key is to the left of the 1 key. It is this symbol. ~ It is also the Grave key, which is this symbol. `
Hello, thank you for professional explaining, I have a problem while switching between cameras , the videos strobes like slow motion
Nice job. Wonderful and straight forward presentation. Thanks so much! :)
Awesome workflow overview and tutorial. Thank you!

really great vid mate, helped so much!
I said it once, I'll say it again. I love you.
Btw, your computer is a beast!
His computer is a SUPER beast!

How did your footage not freeze?
Just curious, but what is your current editing hardware build?
Very helpful and right to the point, Thanks!!!
Jason, have you performed a multi-camera edit with proxies?
The audio that's on the performance clips and or b-roll band clips,is it the same audio at time of video shoot? Is that audio played along side when video is being shot? I know both audio have to line up to sync. Thanks for feedback.
How do we "undo" any given "cut" at any given point on the timeline. Not replace but undo the actual cut?
Set both cameras on either side of the cut to be the same camera.
Great tut. Thank you!
3:58 anyone knows how to disable that like he mentions?
my reaction after watching the first video and getting 2:09sec into this video: " yooooo wtf?!!" lol! omg omg i have to save these"! thank you thank you!

im having the hardest time syncing my clips. i keep an error saying cannot sync one more clip cant macth or some thing of that. any ideas?

My spanned clips in the timeline drop the last frame or two of the audio in each clip. Why?
I did all cuts on the “open in timeline” but I don’t see the cuts on my sequence. What can I do ?
love it man!!! i just subbed!!!
How do we remove a cut? Cant see how to re-join the clips.
What if I have more than 10 clips for multicam
Ok, Jason. So your videos are amazing but the nudge I needed to like and subscribe came from is the song... WHO IS THIS?!?!
hello.. how can I change the mercury playback engine software only into mercury playback engine GPU acceleration in adobe premiere cc ???. In my premiere, GPU acceleration is always in offline. Please help me.
