Sad story about human lifespan compared to her as elves long lifespan. surrounded by her team with short lifespan. They may have died but their memories still there😢😢. (sorry about my grammar ✌️✌️)❤❤
I’m so glad this show is out now. It’s made it easier to articulate to others the concepts I try to convey in my elf characters. Majority all of them address this perception of time and an almost endless feeling life. I mostly play a more rp and storytelling style game (with a touch of challenging combat) so this concept is always in the back of my mind. This show has also helped me clarify to myself the differences I can lean into in a diverse race party and provided me inspiration on how to go about it, what concepts and ideas to lean into. Don’t get me wrong, I love the show for its own thing and it’s characters, but I also just really appreciate that it’s opened communication at my tables I play at to better understand what I’m trying to do when I play this far more long lived character races. Weirdly enough the one character I use these concepts for the most is not even an elf. I play an earth elemental but since it’s a homebrew, the actual age range is up to the gm. In the case of this game, he made their lifetime pretty much immortal but with few who have ever managed to live over a few hundred years. My character is one of the few who has since she was a guardian of a lost temple to the realm of the dead. The isolation and contact with only the souls of the dead left little major danger for her to fight that she couldn’t take on by herself before she joined the party. So yeah, I lean into a lot of the long life quirks I learned from the show for this earth elemental character. I kinda have to since she is actually ancient to be honest lol. For the rest though, I tend to try to lean more heavily into weaving them closer into a mortal pace of life, usually by sticking them in big cities with a vibrant social life (example, one grew up in a merchant family, another regularly spent time in a cosmopolitan trade town due to their linguistic research passion so they could learn from visitors about their culture and languages, etc). The constant contact and need to keep a pulse on the goings on of a faster paced society than what their elven brethren would, tend to lend to them being more in tune with shorter lived races. This created an interesting dissonance for the party when they would finally go to a mostly elven town and realize my elf character was weirdly different in their pace and view of the world and highlight the accommodations and understanding my elf characters had compared to others. And also underline my character previously saying that their own experience carries a bias since they don’t live and think like most elves. Of course, when trying to write backstory for these long lived characters you run into issues of having them have backstory characters that a gm can still use for a campaign. This means that some of those backstory characters need to be long lived races too. Weirdly enough, I find this means I add a good many elves into an elf backstory because it’s otherwise difficult to have a long ago backstory character that would still be relevant unless that elf is particularly (relatively) young. One of my favorites was actually a friend an elf character of mine made during a campaign. That one wrapped up so the dm used this friendship to highlight my character’s long life, saying that even when my character’s party died and the people of the community they saved had many generations since when the place was rescued, my character would still regularly visit their ancient dragon friend and discuss kobold care (the party adopted sooo many kobolds lol), weird discoveries, and strange quirky magic items they had come across on their wandering. But I want to say that again. My elf character’s long time friend was a dragon..a dragon! That’s what was left of the party in the epilogue after so many hundreds of years. My elf character had lived to see their dragon friend’s egg hatch and grow into a young adult in their life time. So yeah, long life leads to strange stories and stranger friends. It always interesting and I love that this show highlights some of that. It’s not a common story but it’s one that I love telling myself. All the innocence, wisdom, heartbreak and, weirdly enough, hope, that comes from such a long lived experience. I think it highlights for me that melancholy may flavor some aspects of such a life but there is also so much laughter and joy to be had that is so precious in its own way. It reminds us not to take these moments for granted. Thank you for the video. Apologies for the length of this comment. I just really wanted to communicate the extent this show has helped me in telling my own stories and about my own characters and just how impactful that has been. I love that this show helps build that bridge for me and all these characters inspire me. Wish all you fellow viewers well and, if you play ttrpgs or tell stories like me, I wish you much fun in that too.

Love the passion! thanks for sharing 🙌
Himmel is very strong with one swing from his sword can cause massive damage literally
He also has a air slash range attack and fast enough to attack a Great Demon some distance and protect Frieren then presumed the pressure again.
Grandma is depressed again
