- I was at my local Harbor Freight and remembered a few comments asking me to review the Portland Pressure washer. I picked it up on sale and brought it back to the shop. Although the accessories it comes with arent very good, the motor and pump put out some very impressive PSI and GPM numbers! ENJOY!!

I received my pressure washer ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP over the weekend and decided to wait for the sun to come out before firing it up. Was needed to clean the deck. Our last pressure washer broke a couple of seasons ago, and I just hadn't replaced it yet. This one had great comments, so here we are. It was easy to assemble, and the trigger wand is comfortable and easy to hold for long periods of time. The pressure washer worked great and made quick work of the "TN North side algae" that inevitably grows every year. I also washed all of the deck furniture while I was at it... it all looks great! So far I am happy with this purchase. I plan to climb the ladder to wash siding over the next couple of days, will update if I have anything else to add after that!
I always enjoy your informative videos. You answer all my questions and make it easy to learn. This particular unit looks to be the one I can get things cleaned up all around outside of the house without spending a lot-although I would take your good advice on the few upgrades for the hose and pressure gun. So glad it’s got such good pressure counts! Thanks for the good tips!

Surprised by the results too, but impressed with the Portland Brand even more! A few years ago I purchased the Portland 14" Chainsaw (Harbor Freight - for $39.99 if memory serves me right) and I've used it every year and it is simply Amazing! It still cuts like butter and is going strong! I want the pressure washer! :-)

Wouldn’t recommend it after 2 months of washing cars with it the cord gave out and the gun would get stuck all the time would go with the craftsman 1700psi pressure washer
The gun is for sure a no go, but if you upgrade it to the u reflex you will have a great unit!

Lol. This is the same unit I labeled “cheap” when asking in another video if the upgrade parts you list would work. Haven’t received all the parts yet but pleasantly surprised you’re testing returned positive results.

I have the same pressure washer. So I just ordered the aftermarket wand+pipe+adapter. But any suggestions on the water pipe? I got a garden regular pipe and that shit is so fukin hard to unhook it after I’m done washing

I have this pressure washer. How long can you not squeeze the trigger but leave it in the on position with the water source still on? If you aren’t using it, shouldn’t you turn it off? Or should you turn off the water source? Just wondering if it’s bad on the water system or the pressure washer if it’s left on with water flowing to the machine without the trigger being squeezed.
JUST WHAT I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR. I have the HF Portland electric pressure washer and wanted to use a stubby handle with my foam cannon. As you point out, there is no screw on connector on that end of the Portland hose. So, I've been looking for some kind of adapter but I will instead buy those two products you mentioned so I can get up and running. Thanks a ton.

Just to answer the question about how the turbo nozzle works, it increases the impact of the water instead of increasing psi and turning the water into a mist

Will the M22 15mm that comes with the Portland fit a 3/4" Garden hose? or do I need that M22x14mm adapter to fit a 3/4 garden hose? everytime they throw Millimeters it throws me off because of the conversion thing so you need to be buying adapters like crazy. What does M22x15 and M22x14 translate into on the imperial chart for garden hoses?

I don't have any problems with the accessories that came with the unit. I use it for cleaning house gutters, siding, garage doors, concrete driveways and sidewalks. I think the rated working pressure is supposed to be 1340 psi and 1750 is the max possible. It says this on the back of the unit. It makes all my concrete white again even if it's got years of oil stains even though the manual says it's not designed for deep concrete cleaning. Ladies and older people will have no problem using this.

Then in small print on back of unit...btw the numbers we showed are actually false and only achievable when releasing the trigger rendering it totally useless as NO WATER is being dispensed.

I got the uber flex hose and a stubby gun. Works great even with a cheap amazon foam cannon as long as you put in the 1.1 orifice.

My portland just bit the dust, but i got it spring/summer of '18. Was thinking about the costco greenworks but i may just have to buy another portland since i already have all the necessary adapters to run aftermarket hoses.

This Portland pressure washer is ideal for cleaning patio furniture and around the house jobs alike. Also for a quick wash for the car. I like the convenience of size as well. I would definitely like to win this and purchase the extras like the Uberflex hose and the adapter as well as the wand. Great review!

I’d probably try the 3.75 nozzle for car wash, maybe get to 1.75 gpm and 1k psi. This is ideal if it get reach 2k psi on the Ryobi tip because that means I can use ryobi’s surface cleaner accessory to clean the driveway and wash the car with the larger tip.

Sorry if I missed it but what kind of warranty does this unit come with? Those are some crazy good specs, definitely blows my karcher out of the water when it comes to gpm

@@Hecken. I think it’s personally preference I was using a 3.0 nozzle with out even knowing the gpm n pressure difference it was giving out n I had no issues knockin out vehicles but josh does prove that the 3.5 gives out more gpm

Duder. so i have this set up. it works. power. water. pressure. flow. Upgraded to all yo suggestion. I hit a wall. Trying to install my UBERFLEX into a CoxReel # 112-3-100 . Whats the inside threads on that end of the Uberflex hose ? That style end cant get screwed into the barrel of the CoxReel. Barrel thread size on the inside of the reel takes 1/4 Male NPT So i need a 1/4 NPT Male into what ever size the end of that Uberflex is ? Right on. Thanks again. !!
I want the pressure washer. The numbers sound great. I need it for washing my car.
Just a heads up. At least on mine, a 2.5 tip will make this pressure washer run EXTREMELY HOT. I didn’t realize it until the wind shifted and I could smell it. This happened during the rinse after the foam application. I don’t think it moves enough water to keep it cool. Unless I just got a lemon. Just something to pay attention to.

I have been unable to find anything on how to attach a surface attachment to this pressure washer so that I can clean my concrete driveway. I physically went to Harbor freight and they could not help me. Is this impossible?
He changed the gun and hose. That's how it could use different attachemnts
Great review of the washer *BASE*, and bet you’d do a GREAT review of the (apparently) LOUSY hose & nozzle :D That helps evaluate the weakest link. Maybe I can deal with the hose for a while but want to buy the nozzle now. For ultra-low volume use, is the included kit good enough? 🤔
How has this thing held up?
Hey bro, I was wondering how this stacks against the two Active units in regards to noise and/or any other little annoyances you didnt care for. I'm looking for something fairly quiet but still flow great. Just wondering what the draw back of it are as compared to the Active units.
the actives are quieter. The on switch on the active ve52 sticks sometimes but i reached out to the company and the new ones that are in stock have been updated!
