Brian you killed it on this one brother! Honored you picked our materials for this challenge!
This Bronze Mai is the most beautiful material I’ve ever worked on. I can’t wait to get more in my shop!
It looks great!
Great seeing knifemakers helping eachother out. I made a Cu Mai for my viewer entry and it was nerve wrecking trying to not overheat it and melting the copper when i quenched mine. Great video and great build.
Thanks! Matt is a great guy for sure. Your knife is badass!
@@BKohnKnives i hope to make some friends in the community as well. Thanks for giving it a look.
Whoever came with the idea for this challenge is pure genius! I’ve watched nearly all of them now and subscribed to all. Good job and keep them coming!
That was the great Dennis Tyrell! I love these challenge videos
Brian Kohn, excellent job on this dagger. It looks great ... the bronze and acid etch look great together, as well as the handle/cover material chosen. Nice job. A black leather sheath/slip would round out this build for a lucky website customer. Thanks for the share and good luck!
Thank you sir! I appreciate the kind words. Please share the video on your social media pages so more people can see it👍🏻
What I love most about this dagger challenge (even now though it's been over for a while) is finding new knife makers. My grandfather made beautiful leather jackets in the 80s. He had a small shop next to the open air meat market. Shame he couldn't get the recognition. I wish you the best, this was beautiful!
Thank you! Follow me on Instagram and send me a picture of one of your grandfathers jackets. I’d love to see his craftsmanship👍🏻
Great video! That bronze Mai is gorgeous. That TEAR DROP SHAPE RIGHT AT THE TIP!!!! Watching the handle take shape now. I had to comment before I forgot. Amazing work brother!
Thank you!
Bronze mai?! That's freaking cool!! I like it a lot more etched, more contrast with the "gold" lines! Great work man, congrats!!!
Thanks man! Your dagger is bad ass! What are you planning for the next challenge? I’m a little stumped🤣
You did a very good job my friend.
A beautiful selection of models is impressive. I think it would not have been the same if you had carved it so authentically that the bronze was not engraved. I am happy that you use my products. Congratulations on making the different slopes flawless. I wish you continued success.
Your tools helped me along the way! Thank you for the kind words Yücel!
That is one gorgeous push dagger you got there, brother! Awesome!
Thank you! I wish I could see what you were going to make!
Lad….the way those bronze lines match and meet is awesome. And the decision to make a punch dagger will just set your entry apart even more. I think it came out great and I wish you good luck in the competition…..
Thank you for the kind words! Don’t forget to vote in the link in the description
I have to say, that is the most BEAUTIFUL push dagger I have ever seen. That handle really complements the blade! Great job!!
Thank you! Be sure to vote for it!
Great job, Bryan! 👍🏻❤
Thanks Dennis!
I don't think I would have etched that beautiful blade but either way it looks beautiful 😍 great work Sir 👏
Thank you! It was a tough decision
Love the Damascus! You did that billet proud!!
Thank you! That means a lot
Fantastic design and happy you etched it. Finally a knife maker creating a true dagger and not a miniature sword. Wish you the best of luck.
Haha thank you bud! Feel free to vote for me in the link in the description!
Bronze-mai has to be know as Bro-mai. The scales look great with the blade too. I like how you kept the flats gritty. It adds to the dark rustic feel to the blade. Well done.
BRO-mai! 🤣 thank you sir!
@@BKohnKnives Broooooooo!!!!
I love how the bronze seams meet up on the blade, just beautiful. Well done!
Thank you 👍🏻
I gladly support your channel with my subscription! Awesome technique and brilliant result 👏🏻 Your precision is next level! Thanks for the video!
Thank you kindly for the support. Enjoy your day👍🏻
I've watched about half the entries so far, this is the first one that is a contender to the first one I watched, Tyrell Knifeorks. Love that etching 👍🏼❤️
Dennis did an amazing job. He is for sure gonna win the votes
Love this design. Forge on. God bless.
Thank you🤝
@@BKohnKnives your very welcome my friend.
That was an incredibly impressive video. Craftsmanship, cinematography, and editing
Thank you kindly Mason👍🏻
Without a doubt the coolest push dagger I have ever seen. Great job Bryan! The video quality is top notch too.
Thank you buddy! Your knife is badass!
Great looking knife man! I love that bronze
Thank you boss! Your knife is badass!
What a beauty! 🥰Glad you etched it as it made the bronze shine even brighter 👍 Good luck with the challenge! 🤞
Thank you! Remember to vote!
Oh damn the work for it podcast plug was so funny! Great push dagger! That bronze Mai stands out!
Haha I thought that plug was funny 😆 thank you for the kind works my friend!
Beautiful piece, and I loved the choice of push-dagger for your design!
Thank you!!!
this looks awesome man, i would probably have polished the flats above the bevels to a mirror finish after the etch so you get the contrast of the "silver", jet black and bronze.
That forge texture had a lot of highs and lows so I would worry that it wouldn’t come out clean. I like the idea though!
I like the black and bronze look. The handle and blade/dagger match perfectly.
Thank you!
You should be proud, it DID come out incredible! Man if I hadn't already been subbed for a while now, you know I would have subbed right now! Way to go brother 😁👍🏽
Thank you sir! I appreciate your support and kind words
Absolute home run ! Great build!
Thank you
Great video Bryan! And that dagger is as deadly as it is gorgeous 🔥
Thank you👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Absolutely beautiful build.
Thank you!
Nice submission - came out really well! I was thinking "well, you could put tape on the blade to prevent finger loss," but then of course you did just that 😂! I have to admit I was a little relieved! I'm actually really glad you did the acid etch - I think I prefer the silver look, but I really wanted to see both. And your right, the bronze layer looks really amazing on the dagger! 👍
Thank you so much for those kind words. Even through that thick tape it could have sliced through and done some major damage.
I think the black acid etch complimented the handle material better and that’s what pushed me into doing it.
I appreciate your support 👍🏻
Dude, I'm really happy to see you leveling up your biz! Love the podcast and what you're contributing to the community.
Thank you so much for that. I’ve been working hard to be apart of the community and it feels good to be recognized👍🏻
Great job! That blade is insanely cool. 👏
Thanks! Be sure to vote in the link in the description
This dagger looks amazing, great job! I would say you are definitely in the running!
Thank you! Vote for me and keep me in it!
The etched blade matches the handle really well, but I think I prefer the blade prior to the etch.
I can see that point of view. It was a hard decision
For the etching or not to etch, what would have been cool is to have made a pair of daggers and had one of each. For a pair of daggers with contrast.
Now THAT is a good idea!!!
Well done, as always! Absolutely love watching the process! Killed it
Thank you!!!
you're awesome, I like yours presentation and work.
Thank you!
Dude you killed it! Looks amazing!
Thank you!
That looks great Brian! The steel you used was a great pick
Thanks man! Your build is badass!
All is all a very nice pice
But I don't like the rough unpolished part, I would have loved to see that changed, possibly adding a fuller, that would dip down in the metal to show line of copper.
That is a cool idea! I wish I would have thought of that
Great build mate and very sexy looking dagger!!
Thanks!
Amazing Work Brother, you definitely get my vote.
Thank you sir!
That's beautiful!
Thank you!
Pretty slick blade there!
Thanks! I’m really happy to show it off
I wouldn’t have etched it, it looked so cool
I was back and forth on that decision. What pushed me over the edge was the fact that the handle material was made to go well with the etched steel… and if I hated it I could always sand it off.
Symmetrical bevels are always biggest challenge, but you made a great job, Bryan! Small suggestion for the next build- In case of this kinda blades it's easier (I know, sound like absurd :P) to grind bevels by free hand. Denis made very good episode (Tripple T series) focused on grinding bevels.
I’ll look into it. Thank you
Thats the best one I seen so far. You win in my book.
Don’t forget to vote for me!
I did.
looks amazing great build i actually built my heat treat oven works very well for what i do you could consider that not very hard 😀👍 Mark .A just subbed and liked
Thank you for the support! I’ve looked into what it takes to make my own heat treat oven and I would prefer to just buy it. Those evenheat ovens have all the bells and whistles!
great build really nice
Thank you🤝
Beautifull piece. What’s the app? Woooow good job
I get this question a lot! I’m gonna have to make a video on it. It’s called Trig Solver
Stunning piece
Thank you
Fantastic video! Just watched your video on the tr maker. Could you do a how to, or tips & tricks for bevel jigs? I still seems to be getting grind irregularities on my bevel lines. :( Thanks!
I’m thinking about doing a TRMaker jig one year in review video
Nicely done
Thank you!
That turned out pretty sweet!
Thank you kindly
Great job it looks awesome!!
Thank you!
The bronze going through it looks like electric arcs for a name for it might I suggest Thor's blade
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Really awesome build, love it!
Thank you! Vote for me in the link in the description!
Are you supposed to blow compressed air between the plates? Boyle's Law - PV=nRT
Probably. It came out great anyways! 😁
Absolutely beautiful 😎
Thanks!
I'm still going for tyrell knife works although man that's a blade well done
And he won the Competition! I saw his dagger in person and it is BADASS! I appreciate the compliment
@@BKohnKnives well deserved brother I wish I had 1000th of your talent
Why do you spray your belt with WD40? for polishing? I'll have to try it! awesome video!!
Try it with your used ultra fine scotchbright belts. It makes it so much better!
Nice looking blade.
Thank you!
Another beautiful job man this is amazing
Thank you my friend! How’s your chopper holding up?
@@BKohnKnives it is holding up fantastic we use it every day
Awesome job. What is the angle app you use. I’ve seen it in a couple of your videos
It’s called Trig Solver. I really need to make a video about it
@@BKohnKnives thanks dude. PS my girlfriend loves the puppy breaks ☺️
Yo this is a really awesome design
Thank you!
beautiful push daggers
Thank you
Etching is always cooler 😎😎😎😎
Thank you
I love this dagger
Thank you!
I would have covered half in nail polish and then etched.
Ohhh! That would have looked so cool!
You did a great job. You got a sub for sure.
Thank you!
OUTSTANDING!!!
THANK YOU!!!
Why do knife guys hate water bottle so much..... ;-) good vid! I like the bronze layers!
🤣🤣🤣
Thanks! I’m really happy with it!

Ur work is raw as of now. The dagger looked unfinished and unpolished. And a humble suggestion, dnt pester viewers with ur subscription request. I will subscribe if i find ur work good, u dnt need to ask for it.
