Exciting update on C8 tuning!! Appreciate the hard work from the Paragon team and look forward to seeing what Graham comes up with on future tuning maps! +1 media team on the slow mo ratchet action clips
437hp on 91 octane vs 500hp with e85. That's incredible. I just got a quote from my local speed shop on doing a full e85 conversion on my c7 grand sport that has about 600whp now. They wanted $3,330 for it. I have a boosted engine so I would see more gains. I paid over 5k for long tube headers, high flow cats, x-pipe, weapon x pully, and tune for about 80hp gain so the gain from e85 is better for the price. The c8 is too expensive to mod right now.
I live in California and thus have only 91. However e85 is readily available. As I have no intention to tune even raising the octane to 93 by blending in some e85 would seem worthwhile. What is the maximum ethanol concentration you can use with the stock tune? I know all cars can handle e20. Can the Vette go higher?
Allow me to edit my previous post. I believe MOST cars can handle e15 on the stock tune with no problem. Can the C8 goes as high as e20 without a tune? My goal is to raise my California 91 e10 to 93 e20.
On a empty tank (18.5 gal) 2 gallons of E85 blended in to a tank E0 91 equals 9% ethanol, well under the approved limit. Most of the stations in CA sell E10 91. 2 gallons E85 into E10 91 is still only 19% and will cause zero harm and well within the fuel trim tolerance but the manual says not to exceed 15% ethanol. If that concerns you though, go with 1.5 gals instead for 14% total E with close to 93 octane.
head work porting has been proven to bring really good HP gaines,, you should start working on a cam and than bring the 3 together to offer full N/A package to offer close to the 550whp est it will produce on high octane pump gas.
Great content. E85 and a tune, plus maybe a 100 shot and you're at 600 whp or so A lot cheaper than a 25k supercharger. But callaway option would keep the warranty though.

How come the car shown has the Eventuri airbox and Lingenfelter pTR Intake with larger TB and obviously has the coupler but no info is out on the coupler? Is this available yet? All I keep hearing is testing and R&D.
Hi Joseph. The product is now in production as we were finishing our testing as you can see in this video. We do extensive testing on our products to ensure you or others aren't running into any issues.
@@ParagonPerformance I can appreciate that, trust and believe. I’ve been inquiring for a long time and had contacted Eventuri when first introduced and that’s when they told me you all were developing the coupler and they welcomed me to a tour if and when I come across the pond. So to go from there to where we are now with a chat with Korey heading back to Iowa in 2021 about my pTR experience it’s been a minute, and I have him locked in on my cell. While in this conversation I have to ask, why is the Eventuri unit called and intake vs an aIrbox? The pTR is an intake with there being runners under the carbon fiber air intake. To me the Eventuri is taking the spot of the OE airbox with the filters etc. I’m just curious…
@@josephdixon507 The Eventuri is an Intake System or can be called an airbox as well. The pTR is an Intake Manifold which bolts to the heads of the engine.
will u need bigger injectors by going bolton/e-85, had to use 85 pound injectors on my 14 chevy ss once i went e-85, just wondering do u have to do the same for the c8,i have a 2020 & i only wanna do boltons/e-85 is enough for me
This is because our dyno room is not climate controlled. Unfortunately to do so for a dyno room this was not feasible due to how much volume of air has to be exchanged out of the room. So this means all the air pulled into the room is fresh air that is going to be the same temp and humidity that is outside.
6500 is good for a street car, but it's much lower than what should be possible. I have a 496 cubic inch classical big block with Calles crank and rods that goes to 7000 rpm comfortably. That's some big rods and pistons going up and down. Put a good crank and H beam rods. Heck if you've the bucks, go titanium rods at $800-$1000 apiece.
"The answer is: No" lol I wouldn't even pay even if I had E85. Not enough power yet so waiting for the cam would be the best option. LMR is developing something with HP tuners as well and they have 700+ whp packages. Up to 1200+
LMR is reaching those numbers with turbo kits and you’re talking about another $25,000+ for that. You could do a Procharger or Magnuson for roughly 20k as well. 🤷♂️
@@ParagonPerformance I don't think these guys know what LMR actually charges but for 1200hp build using their turbo kit that pushes that price to over $70k. Nearly as much as the car itself. Personally for most people on the street that want to wake this car up bolt ons and tune like this is bargain money thats hard to resist. Thanks for the work.
@@ParagonPerformance to be fair that was installed, with fuel tech stand alone, built engine, axles, clutches and such but it puts things into perspective for those who don't really know how much work goes into a total package like that and how expensive it all cost. For someone to criticize getting over 500whp with a tune and bolt ons while quoting LMRs 1200hp package, I have to think they didn't know what was involved in that.
