Very well explained/ summarized, I have a C8 with a ProCharger, unfortunately I got caught up in the early stage 1 issues, but stage 2 is awesome and would do it again, and $$ wise I have about what Corey said, I have 620 RWHP.
Great rundown of options for people. From what I understand I dont think Procharger or the Magnuson is still smog certified in Commiefornia. They have been saying pending for a long time.. lol I had the smog legal procharger in the c7 and loved it. Its getting to a point where even a simple tune is not allowed even if it pisses flowers out =-/.
It would be helpful if you stated the average whp of the C8 as it comes stock, this helps gives the audience a frame of reference of crank vs whp, and how these power numbers compare to a stock vehicle.
I appreciate the fact that Paragon provides dyno numbers to support their mods, but the dyno is not the real world. Drag strips are easily available as are draggy times. It would be super helpful to see the1/4 mile times for each mod. My local dealer has a Z06 and two E-Rays on the lot, so my decision is supercharging my C8 or buying the Z06 or E-Ray. The challenge is, there is very little difference between the prices you showed in the video and a Z06/E-Ray. For example, there is a ~$40K difference between a base Stingray and a base Z06. The Z06 does a 10.6@131 MPH 1/4 mile with a bumper-to-bumper warranty. Based on the prices you provided, getting the same level of performance from a Stingray would be $24K for the Magnuson, $8K for the warranty, and $4K for quality 2-way enclosed shipping (for those of us not in Iowa) for a total of $36K. That's only a $4K difference between Paragon and a Z06. Looking at your PDF, your 610 RWHP figure for the Magnuson supercharged Stingray means 717 flywheel HP. So, a Paragon customer spends $4K less than a base Z06, but gets 47 more flywheel HP: assuming your advertised gains are SAE corrected. Let's just say, for the sake of comparison, the supercharged Stingray makes the same 670 flywheel HP of a Z06. My questions are simple: 1. What is the average 1/4 mile time a customer can expect from the supercharged Stingray package with street tires? 2. Given the fact that Paragon Stingray supercharger packages puts us at the same price point as a base Z06, are they equal in 1/4 mile performance? 3. Can you post a video of a head-to-head 1/4 mile comparison between a Paragon supercharged Stingray and a Z06? It would be great to see videos proving the dyno numbers make a difference in real-world scenarios. There are so many "reaction" videos and clips showing "world record" attempts. I just want to know what I can expect for MY car with a base supercharged package.
We have no local drag stips close to us for testing & unlike other shops, we're not going to take a client's car or our own shop cars that we build & go on public roads to perform 1/4 mile testing. The closest 1/4 mile track to us we used in the past with Procharger in KC closed as all others are an 1/8 mile. We've discussed packing up the cars & team to head to a 1/4 drag stip that is out of state but have not made the time to do so with how busy the shop schedule is. The base z06 is the best bang for the buck for as quick that it is with no modification required.
For the C8, LT2…. Do you not offer forged lower end, cam replacement, head work, with the Magnuson 2650 and a smaller pulley to increase boost to around 16psi… with an in-house tune? For more power gains.
no checks and x's slide for the procharger option. is it similar to the magnuson line or the full bolt on line? also maybe an e-ray addendum will be a future question you may want to answer, being the same engine but more tuning i suspect.
@@esordol Procharger doesn’t add / deduct power with mods added. Only thing that changes is sound. Z06 / Eray videos to come once more options are available.

The C8 is such a shit platform to modify lol. The average person who can afford this car won’t be able to do much with it at these prices unfortunately. Get a C7. Much cheaper to modify.
@@Chichipompom-c4r yea, well we’ll agree to disagree, I have 2 C7s and 1 C6 also, like them all, but every thing is getting way more costly to work on, unfortunately

Fireside chat with Korey 😅 Nicely done…would love to see a breakdown for the Z06!

Always love paragon videos!
Thank you so much for this information!

Interesting and informative.

Great breakdown
In the real sports car market of comparison performance and luxury market, its actually worth it if you value the added performance.
5 years into production and performance prices are still way too crazy high
The z8 z06 is so good stock, it is the only performance car i have owned that didn’t need much if anything over stock. I did a air box and thats it
Which one? Eventuri? What was your gains if not eventuri?
Love this video 📹 ❤ now I just need the money for the C8 and the mods.... 😂
Great stuff! Working on my war chest. You didn't talk about RWHP numbers for the Full Monty. Any expectations on that?
