It's one thing to talk about the length, it's another thing to show you.
My favorite opener
not only another, a whole nother
😂😂
Lol 😂
LOL I'm gonna steal that line
"Why are you wearing that long rain coat ?"
I still think the 4 Door JL is the sweet spot for off roading, but the Gladiator fills a great niche, especially with overlanding. The length of the Gladiator vs the 2 door is crazy!!! - Congratulations on passing 200k subs Brad!
@@vitaminb4869 Yes but he said the sweet spot.
I agree, the 4 door is the sweet spot. Thank you!
I love my 2 door for the nimbleness, but I’d also love to have that 2 door J6 concept truck (based on a 4 door JL chassis).
Agreed! I love my 2 door, but it can get scarey on some inclines. Plus storage is non-existent with the back seat installed.
Too bad California DMV makes you register all trucks as commercial
Now do a gladiator and a 4 door please.
You need a video of your wife, and son, and yourself in all of your jeeps on a several day excursion. I think that would be great. Three different jeeps and three different drivers! Do it Brad!
I would liked to see all three. 2 door, 4 door and truck. Maybe you could do this again with the 2 door and 4 door.
Awesome comparison Brad! Glad you kept it fair by having them both be stock ride height!
Me and my girlfriend started watching all your videos a couple weeks ago nonstop!!! Yesterday we bought our overland rack, tent, and basic supplies 😊😊😊 thank you for your content!!!!!!
No matter what, the 2-Door always will have my heart! Ha ha.
kylepalmer3 definitely, just feels more like a Jeep
'Cause it's the only REAL Jeep
I love my 2 door TJ and my 2 door JL rubicon
Love them all but 2 doors are my ultimate favourite! 2013 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 Door Black with KO2 tires
It was fun to see a stock wrangler go ofroad. Most of the time i see vidios they are modifyed.
I love both but I think is better and I prefer the 2 door Wrangler JL. Thanks for sharing Brad.
Appreciate the unbiased opinion considering you are a Gladiator owner.
Thanks for the upload. Its always a treat to watch. At 2:00 where you show the sticker, I love it how it denotes “MADE IN THE USA” Not really a common sight these days. I remember growing up in the late 70s and 80s and seeing the “Made in USA” stickers on many products. To me it stood for quality, substance and proud to be American!
What a great comparison between the two!! Honest and real. I know a 4 door would fit somewhere in the middle of the two as far as break over and departure angles. Your videos are very professional Brad....I'm a subscriber for life....thank you! Oh and thank you wife for letting you take her JL out for this. I won't say a word about the little scrape that happened.
Thank you! I may be steeling the wife's Jeep a little more often... love driving that thing!
Feel like he should just be a spokesperson for Jeep now. Just saying, these videos make everyone want a Jeep.
I have a Gladiator and a 2 door Unlimited... I love them both. Gladiator is smoother on and off-road than older Jeeps ever were
I still love the two door. You are correct there is not much room in it and not so great for over landing. Thanks for the video !!!!
Excellent, glad you made this video with stock tires and suspension!
Brad, i really enjoy your voice overs. You should make an alarm that I could wake up to
Sweet great to see the difference that everyone is talking (trolling) about...goes to show, the way I see it anyway that you can choose which ever platform suits your needs and still do fun Jeep stuff!
Another great video. I really liked this stock to stock comparison. Short video and to the point. Your wife's Jeep with 2.5in lift and 35s would be a monster out there. All you need.
Just picked up my first ever jeep yesterday. 2015 JKU, she is bone stock and only got 34000 miles on her! Been watching you for just over a year now. You inspired me to get a jeep and showed the almost limitless potential these veichels can have. Just gotta reach deep in those pockets haha. But thanks. I can't wait to go on some adventures with my jk and get her down some trails.
Congrats on the new Jeep!
I've been a subscriber for a while, just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your approach to showing vehicle capabilities, equipment, modifications, off-road accessories and other add-ons.
As an ex-subscriber to LiteBrite, I hope I never see you do a mega-buck conversion like their 60-70,000 dollar monster Jeep. You and LiteBrite were my go to for information and ideas for doing my JKUR build.
Stay true to your subscribers please... you really do provide an excellent approach to Jeeping in America.
August 7th, I'm headed to Georgetown for the vehicle inspection and the next morning my stepson and I are headed out on our first Rubicon adventure with the Jeep Jamboree! I've taken many of your ideas to heart and I think my JKUR is ready.
Can't wait for the next episode!
Saw the notification about this video.......it was tough but I waited until I got home and watched this one on the big screen!! I too, would like to have see the four door comparison.
No real surprises here, but thank you so much for the visual proof!
I was fortunate enough to be able to test a 2 door and 4 door Wrangler on the same vacation. The turning on this were excellent, especially when compared to my pickup truck, which is only mid-sized.
Congrats on 200,000 subscribers!!🎉🎉
Thank you so much!
Well Chief, I really appreciate the info. Great info, but it's like comparing a Frigate and a Carrier.
Two very different jobs, but neither is surpassed in the water.
Enjoy yourself !
the second they make a 2 door gladiator im buying it
FluffyTalks1 me too
Yes sir me too
That would be the length of the 4 door 🤔🤯
Rumor is they ARE going to make it .
@@sandy5548 i’m just converting my JK into a 2 door pickup for the uniqueness 👌🏼
Gladiator Rubi looks GREAT in that white trim! Very nice. Thanks Brad!
2 Door all day! 2 Door=Real Jeep 👍🏻👍🏻
So beautiful seeing those Jeeps flexing, Kind of wanna take my WK to that trail.
Moises Sequera I think you should mate
2 door wrangler all day.....I might be biased because I have one. 😉 but, your wife's Jeep is better 🤪
Heather Cappagli following! because i have a stock JLUR too
Heather Cappagli didn’t win the war with a 4 door 2 door all day roll on🍺
Ditto !!!
Thanks for posting this video! I’m visiting my buddy in SD from AZ so we decided to give the trail a try based on what we saw in the video. We had a great time!
Brad that video was very well done. It was great the way you explained the pro and cons and what I liked is you showed them stock. What a fun day on the trail. Great job.
Awesome comparison. But I love that 2 door. Remove the rear seat and you have a bunch of room too.
Well done on organizing this Brad, I found it really informative. Gladiator surprised me.
Thanks Brad for another great review. Good to have willing friends to help out. The long wheel base of the Gladiator gives me ideas on how to mod and drive my ‘05 WK and still be able to drive it home.
I’ve been in San Diego my whole life but until retired I hadn’t had much change to visit some of our remote areas. “Moons” is finally on my list for a day excursion! Feel free to contact when you go and want another cameraman to tag along! I’d be glad to do some work.
Maybe next video all three 🙌🏼 JL JLU and the gladiator.. I think a JLU is the sweet spot 👌🏼
Gladiator seems like a ship to be navigated with care compared to the Wrangler,enjoyed.Thanks.
My thoughts are stay short (Wrangler) with tire upgrade (35's) and small lift (2") for my moderate or easy trails I feel comfortable going on. Buy an off road trailer, and all is good...:)
IMHO, comparing a 4 door Gladiator to a 2 door Wrangler really isn't a fair comparison. If this was a stock 4 door Wrangler, that would be a more realistic comparison.
Still love your content though, and you honest opinions, great valuable information for people trying to make a decision. Thanks for keeping it up!
So far the best comparison yet
Finally some good video of a 2dr jl wheeling.
Love the videos, I recently found your channel and have watched so many of your trail rides. I also enjoy the installs and the viewers rides videos.
Glad you like them!
I guess having a stock four-door wrangler would have been a bit more fare, but still a good test. Thanks Brad.
Awesome video brad! I love how nimble my 2 door JL rubicon feels on the trail 🤙🏻
Nice comparison of the two very different sized jeeps, specially how each one handled the same terrain. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks Brad, great video as always! I am pleasantly surprised to see the Gladiator do as well as it does. Good to know.
Aloha bro! I’m gonna get a new gladiator here pretty soon. I’m glad you’re taking it off-road so I can see the performance
I'd love to see the underbody of that Gladiator. I'd be curious to see how much damage the rubbing caused to critical components. Also, I'd like to see it after a few years where any rubbed off paint would develop rust. That's the kind of stuff that worries me about taking my Gladiator offroad. Although, thankfully, Southern Ontario (Canada) is mostly dirt with few rocks.
that is so rad to see them side by side!
To each their own, but I’ll never understand why folks want the color matching in the jlu for the roof and fender flares
Great vid, as always, appreciate the info!
Such an amazing comparison ive been wanting a video like this for so long! epic that kc was so kind ! you are the man brad! you deserve the subs! have fun on the trails!
Awesome video. Speaking of length, this video also hit the sweet spot. Not too long, not too short. 👌🏼💋
It's not the size that matters, it's the motion in the ocean :)
Brother! 200k followers! Congratulations! Awesome video like always!
Thank you for the amazing support!
Wrangler always wins, great video btw👍👍
EI Entertainment Studios 200%, nothing can compare
Cheap Jeeper 👍 agreed 200% lol
Brad great job. Thank you for keeping it real, simple and sorting out the noise in marketing. I’m concerned that people are going to put skidder tires on their Bounder and call that the outdoor adventure. It’s ok to keep it stock, and just go out and enjoy the outdoors. S
I would love to see a stock Gladiator "Rubicon" make it through the real Rubicon Trail in its stock form. I personally dont think it could do it, while the JL wrangler has done it in both 2 door and 4 door configurations.
I totally agree. The whole reason the name Rubicon is put on this trim level is that it is proven on the Rubicon Trail. If a gladiator Rubicon can't do the Rubicon Trail it shouldn't have that name.
It would take a lot of stacking rocks to get it though... I don't think I'm that motivated!
Great informative video as usual.
Didn’t realise how long the Gladiator is until this
Add 6.5"s of lift and 42" tires and it'll be unstoppable!! Take the top and doors off....damn!!!🤪
Love that yellow color. Still a toss up which color yellow or white 🥰
I mean just from a size wheelbase perspective, the 2-door JL wins every time when stock! I love my 2015 2-door JK, it goes anywhere, especially with the new 4.88 gears and Eaton lockers I just got put on it!
It's a pickup truck with huge off road capability, but a work or travel pickup after all, and I want one with all my heart!!! jaja
How can someone dislike this video? It’s basically perfect 👌🏻
Thank you Brad, very cool!
Good video, answered questions about the two Jeeps. I couldn’t hear you at the beginning with the music but still solid
4 door wrangler I feel is the sweet spot, it’s got the highway drive ability of an suv and is still more capable than a truck. It all comes down to do you need a truck bed or not do you need towing or not
With seats folded down you basically have a large usable area on the wrangler 4 door
Another very nicely done video sir. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a blessed week.
Dale
Excellent comparison video. Thanks for your outstanding work.
Thank you!
Thank you Brad and KC.
Good comparison. I struggle with the looks on the Gladiator, as the rear doors just don't look right. If only they designed the front door profile, that may have looked better. Overall I prefer the short, robust, stubby two door look, which for me makes the Gladiator look 'odd!'. Hope you enjoy the Glad, but for me I struggle with how it looks.
Love this comparison...
Awesome video. Love the way new Gladiator looks.
Both very capable rigs....
Another great video! Keep up the strong work!
Forgot to mention congratulations on you an your family on 200 k subscribers awesome job best site 👍👍
just a little lift and 35s wheels and problem resolved for gladiator, but for offroad, 2 door wrangler is the best!
Excellent offroad review of two awesome Jeeps
Is anyone brave enough to take a Gladiator through Black Bear Pass?
I went through it no problem in my 21 Gladiator Rubicon 2 weeks ago.
Good to see a Jeep sized Jeep in this world of 4-door wagons...
Gratz on 200k Brad!
Thank you!
Cool video, thanks for the great comparison.
Missed an opportunity here by not having a JLU in the lineup! Like all Jeeps, throw a lift and tires on and it'll go anywhere. So much hate on the JTs, but putting it on 35s or 37s will take you just about anywhere.
Great video! Glad to see the 2 door out. Any update or release on the kc lights on the Gladiator?? 🤔
Excellent! Looks as if your wife uses Armor-All on her tires. (The shine on the at times is a dead give-away.) Thanks for your always well thought out videos & advice!)
Thanks! I may have ran it though a car wash right before the filming of this and they applied the armor-all.... #armorallnotforjeeps. LOL!
@@TrailRecon Your wife has a very nice JL Rubicon. My wife has been back in Utah since mid-June. She saw a new Gladiator on the highway there several weeks ago. We sold her Grand Cherokee diesel in January prior to moving to Molokai. Now she wants a Gladiator. She'll have to wait a year or so, but we'll get her one. It will, of course, be a Rubicon! If you ever get to Molokai, give us a call. We'd love to take you and your wife out to dinner. Ditto, if you ever get over to Oahu for the events of 7 Dec. As one former Navy corpsman to another, We'd love to treat you and your wife to a nice dinner. Aloha & Mahalo, Andy McKane, a.k.a. Pearl Harbor McKane.
Not sure if you mentioned this before, but what are you using to film this? Really smooth and cinematic. Thanks
Thank you! I primarily use a canon 80d on a gimbal
Where's this trail? Anyone know? Would love to try it
Bro like the gladiator 2 door the concept one is more of my style 😁😁
Those KC's look great on that yellow Jeep. What lights are they? Thanks
Their Daylighters
Great video, I test drove at launch edition JT very nice. I have a TRD PRO 4Runner, but I don’t know I’m liking the JT a lot. Not trying to start anything, but there are two things stopping me. The price and the reliability are the biggest issues. Could I get some feed back from the JL/JK owners good or bad with 100k plus miles? Issues or no issues
Vitamin B Thanks, that is the Problem with the 4Runner I could put 37s but it would cost 12-14k. It’s pretty awesome that you could put 35s on a Stock JT Rubicon. I feel very limited when we go out in the 4Runner, it’s stock but even if it had 33s you can only do so much. I’m with Brad on using the JT as an overlander put 37s and make the way up to the Arctic Circle. That would be awesome 😎
92,000 miles on my 3.6l in my JK, no issues!
TrailRecon Awesome, watching RUclips videos you can see a lot of negatives. But the Jeep Community is pretty large, so can imagine they are all crap. I do understand if something bad happens you want to tell everyone. So it great to hear good thing like this. To put 37s on the JT how many upgrade dose it need?
Another great video. Any videos on your sons cherokee and grand cherokee coming up?
Cool video to compare. Thanks
When are those gladiator videos coming out? You hinted at you overlanding with a few clips.
Need some time to edit... soon!
Hey Brad, now that your Wife's Jeep is fitted with 35's and you mentioned you guys would like to do mildly harder trails, do you see you adding any Diff skids or rear shock skids to your wife's 2 door for added protection or is it more than likely over kill for the trails you guys like to run? I've subscribed just to see what goes on with your wife's Jeep. I retired from 28 years of firefighting in 2014 only to badly break my foot in 2016 on my dual sport dirt bike. Living in a recliner for a year while recouping led me to your channel and the desire to buy Jeep some day so I can get outdoors once again. The type of trails you've shown your 2 dr on is what we had in mind as we plan to use the Jeep to go cross country as well. I'm always interested in seeing the very mildly modified 2 door JL's that are daily drivers but built purposely as very capable and ready off road /overland vehicles. Really enjoy the whole family vibe of your channel as well. cheers
I’d like to see a gladiator vs power wagon comparison
I can't wait to see your JT and JL with your boys driving your JK and their XJ on some serious expeditions
A family trip is in the works!
@@TrailRecon
That's awesome. I hope you film it...extensively, lol
I want a Gladiator so bad. Great video!
I only like brad's video's before they even start
Great video as always! Would have been great to also have 4 door JL.
