  • Thank you for checking out Talk O'Tuesdays with Eric Bass, the bass player and producer of the platinum selling rock band, Shinedown, and John Guarnieri, the host of Spear Talk podcast. This weekly podcast came about after we recorded an episode of Spear Talk one night with Thomas Winterton (the superintendent of Skinwalker Ranch), where at the conclusion of the recording, Eric and I chatted for another 90 minutes about life and everything in between, with a lot of the time dedicated to coming up with a name for the show.
There is no agenda when it comes to Talk O'Tuesdays. We will cover a wide variety of topics to include scientific achievements, exploration, cryptozoology, UFOs, art, creativity, writing, mental health, farming, hiking, and just about everything under the sun. We hope you enjoy this weekly show and hope you get something out of it each week.
    * DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND READING TOO! We are two people just talking about life and our own personal thoughts in real time.
Don't be afraid to be the best version of yourself.
Show is edited & produced by Fernando Menotti @nandopicks

Another great episode, I understand the over editing. I do it when I paint and when I'm writing. It's sometimes hard to know where to stop and when to start something new. Thank you both for being so honest and genuine. You guys are a highlight of my week.

Never a dull moment; I love the discussion of is this something that you have known you always wanted to do?; then the process of overthinking; I get that - someone said I think too much....smh; as far as music creation - what I love is that what the song may be about does not necessarily mean what you take from it; as far as reading books - John same here, some books I wish I read as an adult for the first time, but you can re read the same book and pull information that you didn't catch the first time, same with television or film; always love the team line up scyfi! Thanks John and Eric!

So much here this week, OK…
I have been in a super weird/really dark headspace for the past month or more, getting better, but still very in it…& with having a creative mind & being an artist is hard & exhausting. I love what I do, & thankful I get to do it, but even on a smaller scale: the doing what other people want/request vs. what I wanna make gets to me sometimes. I get it, & we all may have our different or unique reasons for these not great head spaces that come to the surface or are battled on some level on a daily basis, but knowing now that I am not the only one going through it, somehow reins it in for me, it helps, wether ya know it or not, you do help…😉
It’s still coming out this year!! This makes me wanna smile more, looking forward to it!!
Yes! More nerdy-geeky! So awesome & very into it!
Heck yes, go fishing! The Northerns are running in the rivers for us now out here & it’s been an amazing run thus far! Everyone should fish more, good for the soul & tastes good too!

Eric, in this episode you talk about Monsters/I ❤️it /, how you made that song. You nailed guys!👌 In the video the little girl hides under the bed from her father. I saw myself when I was a little girl, but I didn't hide. I was never afraid of him. We all have bad memories in our life. Every time when Brent talking about that day what her mom told him to leave. I feel the same when I talk about this part of my childhood.😢 A whole world collapses inside, and our eyes overshines all the stars in the sky. I'm trapped lond time ago and I will never get healed.
Thank you for making that song. XOXO

I love the three second concept. It's what I guess we are all searching for. 3 seconds of happiness. It's why a lot of people are going into debt. Purchase high. I also like the fame aspects. I have friends who are famous. I don't look at them as that. Meeting Eric and Kelly after breaking my fingers in 2020, I didn't look at Eric as famous, but as a construction guy building his music studio. I had 15 minutes of fame in Jan of 2011 when I won a lottery. I had to see my mental health therapist. It was very unnerving. I was on National TV and people driving by my house. I understand when Eric talks about people going to his home. Great Talk this week. I'm usually driving to physical therapy if I don't catch it live . I hope Eric is still putting the make this a fun record signs in his studio

Another amazing episode 👏 it continues to amazing me how much I agree with everything you guys talk about, I have a 3 part book that I have wrote and rewrote since I was a teenager that honestly probably will never see the light of day because of my own brain... i have drawings and paintings that just chill in my closet because my brain wont accept criticism no matter how much I tell my self its fine, I have a degree in photography that never gets used because I feel like I'm not worth charging for 😅💚 thank you for this space, much love to you both! I'm still very much enjoying catching up!

Eric u r definitely doing what God ordained for u to do and it's one of the reasons I dig the band so much. When I see ppl kicking ass at their God ordained purpose, I can't help but cheer them on ...almost at a weirdo level of encouragement. Lol but yes...I'm VERY HAPPY to see u winning at your tasks....
And FYI...my son is creative...and it would be cool if u could help bring that out of him more... I need to find him some males that are creatives and who r cool and good ppl who can help shape my kid.
That sounds very weird and probably sounds more off than how I mean
    Lol

I know it has to be hard for Eric to speak about his mental health. But it helps to know that 1. I and others are not alone. 2. That you can have issues and have a chance at making it at your passion.
But it also makes me rethink what is my biggest passions
    I like making movies
    But
I do them to tell a story in hopes of fixing our world
D as o do I stick with it
Or like he says pick what you really want in the long run and not just what sounds good.
I do not care about money
So I do not do things based on that
But like him I have no kids
This world is my child and I want to make it better
I do not think we have to repeat history (and we are about to)
But having autism and other issues makes me second guess myself and the voices of everyone that told me I would never make it
    Long story to a point
    Thank you
For being open about your mental health
    😢

I wish they would do a half a year or yearly membership. So I can save up for it
I suck with monthly bills. That is why I do not do pattron or whatever it is called. They only offer monthly. And one month I might have extra money but not the next mont, and I forget I have something coming out and then you end up with more fees. Hell even my apps I buy gift cards if I can so I do not have to worry.
