A longarm has been on my list for *years* but we just don't have the space... one day, though! In the meantime, I actually free motion quilt on my domestic machine. I have a couple videos on that here...
Love the gateway drug reference. I have done a few quilt as you go types my favorite is quilt as you go crazy quilt. That you add fancy hand stitching to after. Pieces of fabric, different colors, all coming together. Perfect if you want to use up some scraps that are otherwise wasted.
RUclips Shorts are only allowed to be 60 seconds. If I talk slow, people get upset because it gets cut off. However, I have a full-length video where I show this technique. Perhaps that is more your speed: ruclips.net/video/Qo1yUtYbaU8/видео.htmlsi=CWldbjDvhw-pzjiu
No product, this is a technique that allows you to piece and quilt at the same time. Here is a similar project, just slower... ruclips.net/video/--_USnz3smI/видео.html
It is often easier to do it the whole length. So, cut your backing and batting larger than your finished quilt size, and add the strips just like here. The problem can be if you have a smaller machine that you end up not being able to fit all of that to the right of the needle. In tat case you can make multiple pieces and then put those together - but the method for putting them together is super fussy because you already have the three layers ... there are techniques to do it, but I don't love any of them so I don't teach it. Maybe I'll find a technique I love someday!
This is the perfect way to learn to quilt on a sewing machine!! Beware...it is the gateway drug to longarms lol

All my fabric is Art Gallery Fabrics brand. ❤️
@@CarolinaMoore I am enamored with these hues!
@MB-gb7lt this was a line by Sharon Holland. You'll probably love her other designs... you can see them on the Art Gallery Fabrics website. 🥰

This is great! Never heard of this! Thanks
No need to spray or use needles, you can do this method by just holding the fabric with your fingers...it's way faster!
🌎❤️🕊😊
😊 Thank You So Much For Sharing Your Skills!
❤❤❤
Could you do this with a baby blanket?
How do you sew blocks together thanks
Can this be done with a bigger blanket? Or does it work better with smaller projects
You can absolutely do it with larger projects. 🥰
What fabric line is this?
Thank you - I've heard the term used by a lot of quilters, but no one ever explained it!
Happy to help! 🥰

I’m new to quilting so this may be a dumb question. I’m still gonna ask though 😂. Can you do this technique with a blanket?
First: not a dumb question. All questions welcome here. ❤
Second: Yes, you can do it on a larger quilt, not just small pieces like table runners. 🥰
@@CarolinaMoorewould you do the whole width to create the length or individual pieces "runners" sewn together to create the length?

@@CarolinaMoore my thought process also! I may just try it and do a scrappy stripe lap blanket. Thank you ☺️
