Unfortunately an Interstellar Variant wouldn't work unless it's modifying Jump Range. Jumping exists as loading between systems for the servers for Elite to actually work. Jumping from system to system is a glorified very pretty and cool ass way to discreetly hide a loading screen outside if it being a mechanic required to play the game
basically you can toggle it on with the boost button, it generates a shit load of heat and uses a lot of fuel, in exchange you get ludicrous speed. it seems to be biased towards small ships since the fuel usage gets outrageous with the class 6 and especially the class 7, it got up to 14.7KT/h. i had a 128T tank in this video. the smaller the FSD the faster your top speed is as well, i managed to get 4,680c with a class 2 drive

@@Matty_B0y I think it might be mostly used by people who don't want to get interdicted by other players since it allows you to just zoop away. Or maybe it can be useful in thargoid spaces, especially the titan one.

So how does it work, I can’t see any info in game on how to use it. Also, it can’t be engineered, meaning we’re stuck with a class C jump range…
