- Glory of the Empire is a fictional anthem from the Star Wars universe.
"Glory of the Empire" was a patriotic musical piece adopted as the anthem the Galactic Empire. During Empire Day parades, an upbeat version of the anthem was played, representing everything that the Empire stood for.[1] By 3272 LY,[2] on the Outer Rim planet of Lothal, the Imperial anthem was also played before official grav-ball championship matches,[3] as well as on the Empire's fifteenth annual Empire Day.
"Glory of the Empire" is a variation of the out of universe composition "The Imperial March," by John Williams, which first appeared in the Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, serving as the theme for the Galactic Empire and Darth Vader. Throughout the Original trilogy, various versions of the song were composed, and have continued to appear throughout other Star Wars media.

Lots of great scientists, musicians, artists and thinkers came out of that empire and all its states, kingdoms and principalities after all.

Galactic Republic was controlling like alnost whole galaxy, then Papa Palpatine came and said "Hey guys, so we're gonna change this Republic into an Empire" and all of the Republic's territory was suddenly imperial. While the Sith Empire actually fought for control of the galaxy, Palpatine's Galactic Empire was made out of the Galactic Republic which ALREADY controlled a huge part of the galaxy ;)

Well, before he formed the empire, he already controlled the republic to thirteen years old, and he has gone to great lengths to create a large army and fleet, in addition to undoing the senate nineteen years after the creation of the Empire, he deserves credit.

Entire worlds enslaved. The Wookiees of Kashyyyk. The Mon Calamari of Dac. The Mimanites of Mimban. And the unthinkable horrors that took place in prison colonies such as Kessel. Or the horrific weapons of extermination developed in the name of peace. Entire worlds and stars vaporised.
Palpatine was no hero. Rather one of the greatest calamities and threats to galactic civilisation the galaxy has ever faced. Only a few could pose a greater threat; namely Vitiate and the Yuuzhan Vong, with maybe a few others intermingled, such as Directive Seven or the rakghoul plague. But nonetheless. Palpatine was nothing short of a monster.

The Empire was a necessary evil, I got to admit it did help alot of people in the galaxy that didn't have a real future until they joined the empire
Something that's kind of crazy too is people might knock it and perhaps on a single planet like Earth it wouldn't be a fun way to live but when you consider that they had come out of a galaxy-wide Civil War something had to be done to maintain peace especially with all of the insurgent rebel groups left over from the Clone War.
