Great example but if I do a princess seam bodice would you still put the centre front on the diagonal instead of on grain and cut back to find style line forming deep v .... want to place illusion net in centre? You explain everything so clearly - thank you.
I love you n your work. Your demonstration so precise it's not complex nor confusing and I learn so much from you. Keep doing these videos I look forward to them
Thank you for the in depth tutorial. I've owned a dress maker for years and have been scared to use it for pattern design. I just learned so much and several different techniques from you.

Questions 1. After I do the right front and back right side, do I cut to in order to image for the left side? 2. If you're working with a different size dress from, how to you know what size square to cut to start drape? Is it a method example size 8 3. I am trying to figure out how to close the bodice with a zipper.
Hello good morning, I just met you a while ago on RUclips and I'm fascinated with your work, I love them all; especially those who have flyers. I have seen the model of a dress and I would like to know if you can help me to tell me how I can make the ruffles of the skirt and what fabric I can use. I do not need you to make a pattern; with that you give me an idea is enough and if you have to put horsetail tail to the bass to make it better. Where can I send the photo for you to see? Thank you very much and I will be your follower with much affection from Spain. A hug
TTTHHHHHAAANNNNNKKKK YYYYYOOOOUUUU SOOOOOO MMMMMUUUUCCCHHHH, YOU'RE SLOW SPEAKING, PRECISE & I LEARN FROM YOU. BBBBLLLEEESSSINNNNGGGGSSS. PEACE, LOVE & A RAINBOW OF GOOODDDD VIBES
Hello Ma. Thanks for your tutorials, they are amazing. Please I dont have a dressform/ manniquine . Is it possible for me to make calculations and mark my measurements on pattern. Can i still get a good result?
I'd say for a beginner it would be hella difficult, patternmaking is really, really difficult. There are good tutorials for making DIY your measurments mannequin using trashbags for lining, tape and foam-it/conatruction expanding foam. I still have my old DIY form and use it for corsetry. Try it, it will save You a lot of frustration. Besides, dressform lets you play with draping fabric, something that cannot be imagined upon flat surface.
Question, why do you extend the bust dart up to bust point? It appears you are taking away ease for the bust causing ill fit at the bust and wrinkles below the arm hole.
do you have any suggestions of where to get deep v patters like the one you made? I'm still a beginner and am looking to create something fashion forward but am struggling to find a pattern I like from my local fabric store.
You can buy adjustable dress forms. They come in Child/Miss/Plus size and have dials which can expand the neck, bust waist and hips as well as elongate the torso so they are really fabulous for getting the exact size to fit perfectly and work a treat for draping to create patterns.
Love your work. I wish you would leave music out till the reveal. It's repetitive music, and it gets annoying after 5 minutes and makes it hard hear you speak.
You are a phenominal teacher!!
Thank u for sharing as I've tried draping and struggled. You explain things so well

In draping you waste a lot of fabric more than doing a drafted pattern
