Thanks for the feature.. A retired Philippine Paratrooper officer here.. A graduate of BAC 06-95, 720th SOG, 710th SPOW, Philippine Air Force.. In 1995, we used the MC1 and T10 parachutes.
That's awesome! I appreciate you feedback. How were the MC1's?
I don't think anybody can compare to soldiers from the philippines especially in jungle warfare. They are small but they are tigers in that jungle. One soldier can survive for months without weapons or food. They are the true Predator from the movie we would watch growing up. They thrive in the jungle. Freakin met scout ranger when i was there and his eyes are just different. Just different.
Thanks for your feedback and for watching! I agree, man. They are subject matter experts in the jungle. They have that resource in their backyard. I'm sure they cross train in other environments as well. 🤙
US Soldiers who finished Jungle School can defo wipe the Philippine Army.
@@KenMikaze our only advantage are our weapons and tech. Without it, we would not survive a day in their jungle.
@@konnordylan4464 they're still using m14 and bolo knives.

The uniform you referred to is called "7 colors", it is based on the British DPM camo -- but darker in hues. They were in use from the 1980s until around 2015..
The new uniform they're using now is called PHILARPAT (Phil Army Pattern), which is similar to CADPAT but the hues are more brownish than lush green. They are also cut tight which makes soldiers appear very thin, probably as means to counter the jungle heat I suppose. The fabric is also breathable and a little stretchy.
>> I'm personally interested in camos. I hope one day you'll make a comparative analysis of notable camo patterns around the world...
Cheers
Hey brother, thanks for the solid feedback. I'm impressed the uniforms lasted that long in service. Anything has to be better than the US Army ACU's. Those things were garbage.
I personally think the MARPAT the Marines wore are pretty sexy and useful. I'm like you and enjoy camo, but I'm not sure if I'd be the right person to discuss. If you want to take a swing at it or give me some pointers, I'm open to suggestions.
I wouldn't be against a compare video. I would need to get my hands on some camp first, just to make it a proper video.
A few years ago, Airborne Course in the Philippines were open to female troops. The same thing with the Philippine Army Scout Rangers and the Philippine Marines Recon. Some women served in combat operation during the Marawi Siege and some of them are designated marksman or snipers.
Was that a relatively new thing? When did that take effect? I have heard several studies state that females are great at marksmanship. They have patience and don't carry over bad habits from previous shooting lessons.
@@jointbasepodcast it was a new thing that women were allowed in a combat role. However old enough that it dated back to the Philippine Revolutionary War against Spain. Gabriela Silang, wife of slain Katipunero leader continued to lead his husband group to fight against the Spaniards. It started about 3 or 4 years ago I think.
Love your videos man.... keep 'em coming. My salute to you bro. I'm sure it brings back good memories.
Good memories for sure. Thanks for your support! 🤙
another awesome video keep doing what your doing love your explanation always!
Thanks, brother! I always appreciate the kind words. Any suggestions on future videos?
Another awesome reaction Video!
Thanks, brother. They did an excellent jump at making this video.
Shared, Thank you.
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching and sharing!
The uniform named is called PHILARPAT (Phillipine Army Pattern) Uniform, that is the new uniform that they are wearing now.
Nice! I'll check it out. Thanks for your feedback and for watching! 🤙
really awesome specially the c130 drop.
I'm not sure what they filmed it on, but the footage is pretty badass
Thank you for your comments
Yes, sir. Any recommendations on what we should watch next?

True pilipino trops is the best 🇵🇭

With regards to the helicopter jump. They are not jumping off a Blackhawk helicopter. It's actually a UH-1H Huey helicopter that they are jumping off.
Yeah, man. I was wrong on that. Thanks for the correction and for watching.
@@jointbasepodcast no problem man. Keep up the good work.
Nice video thanks 🙏 Sir
Thanks, man. I appreciate the feedback!

SABAH PHILIPPINES
Philippines army is the best but the only things is we dont have high technology when it comes to war
That's alright. This just proves you don't need technology to build strong and efficient Soldiers. Thank you for your feedback and for watching!
My only comment would be they usually do the heli jump from a Huey, I think that one in the vid is a Bell UH-1 given it has the doppler radar.
Because we are still short in Blackhawks (I looked it up, only 16 currently in service [UH-60 S-70i variant from Poland]), 32 more on order.
But occasionally they do jump from the blackhawk.
This is only Airborne course, only one of the courses our SFRA (Special Forces Regiment) have to take.
Yeah, that's my fault, man. I usually do some research before watching, but sometimes I enjoy being surprised. The first thing that came to my mind was Blackhawk.
I was impressed at how they jumped from the same side. We usually line up 3 or so on each side and jump with 1 second internals (or so). That's just to prevent smacking each other under the bird. I enjoy the twist that the Philippines buts into their training. It's honestly straight genius! As always, man, thanks for the feedback. Take care. 🤙
I like this
Thanks for watching!
About the uniform, it's called a philarpat it's based off the cadpat just by looking at it lol jokes aside the reason why it looks like that it's because it was made by the same company that made the cadpat.
That makes sense. I appreciate the feedback and for watching!
It is the American consultant (Delta force) that trains them.
That would make sense. I can tell there are a lot of similarities. Thanks for your feedback and for watching!
Probably Green Berets train them
Nope, not the Delta Force, but the US Green Berets.
wow❤
Thanks for watching! 🤙
Uniform: Philippine Army Pattern (Philarpat) BDU
It looks good. How well does it camouflage in the jungle?
@@jointbasepodcast if it's still new it does well in the jungle but when it begins to fade the green color fades out. This pattern is much better than the old Philippine Army and Air Force (Dark DPM) BDA.
@@jointbasepodcast scout ranger uniform
That's the old Phil. Army uniform . We call it the Seven (7) colours. We don't use it now .
Thanks for your feedback and for watching! I think it looks sharp. How well does it camouflage?
@@jointbasepodcast they don't they're easily spotted by the mighty New Peoples Army....
Just kidding.
Philippines have a different topography, hence, the Woodlands BDU doesn't exactly work here. The best camo for the Philippines would be the tiger stripes, unfortunately, only the NAVSOG Seaels and the LRR use them as they're expensive.
They still use the 7 Colours, at least the Musangs still do, and they love it.
General McArthur statement “Give me 10,000 thousand Filipinos and I shall conquer the world” - Battle of Yultong, Korea
Great quote! Thanks for watching!
That's a Huey, not a Blackhawk.
Phil. Army can do more even d unexpected. Dont underestimate us cuz if we go to war your gone crazy thats a message for d bullys and anyone who underestimated us.

How come you dont get copyright strike sir
Fair use act. Thanks for watching! 🤙
Douglas Mc Arthur once said "give me 10,000 pesos and i shall forget cayetano"
I love that quote! Thanks for watching!
No
Not because of skill, but paratroop operations and now obsolete
Yeah, they most likely won't be used during an operation. However, they are usually higher caliber solider.
General Luna said:wag kayong maniniwala sa matatamis ng mga salita ng mga amerikano
Who is General Luna? Thanks for your feedback and for watching!
@@jointbasepodcast Antonio Narciso Luna de San Pedro y Novicio Ancheta (Spanish: [anˈtonjo ˈluna]; October 29, 1866 - June 5, 1899) was a Filipino army general who fought in the Philippine-American War before his assassination by the order of Emilio Aguinaldo on June 5, 1899 at the age of 32
