I would like to shout out my neighbor Grayson who gave me his old gaming pc because I couldn’t afford one.
Sounds like a nice giy
Seems like a nice guy
@@CarterCassedy I can 100% agree
@@Dj_Pj_Pants thanks
Shout-out to Grayson
Now this is what I've been waiting for! I've had a few R7 250s and they really don't dissapoint. Matt did mention it at around min 11 but if I had this setup I'd go for 900p or even 720p. That's an amazing build honestly! Great vid bros :)
you selling any of the r7 250s?
Is a r5 430 better
@@lorgodxgaming5303 Nah, that's a little bit better than a R7 240 which is basically a glorified GT 710...
@@hunterfabio what about the 2gb ggdr5 model cause the r7 250 I find cheap are always ddr3
@@lorgodxgaming5303 The same thing, I thought you were talking about the ddr5 version, if you want something decent and cheap try get a GT 730, GT 740, R7 370, R9 270, etc.
these style systems make great media players. I have a HP unit of the same size and absolutely love it... maxing out the memory and adding a 2GB video card, the unit plays all movies and will do light gaming. the SFF format works great in a piece of furniture where space is restricted. takes the place of the old VCR units, though these can be a bit taller... by upgrading the memory, video card and the hard drive, you have a great little system. Ebay shows these at about $100.00.... you might be able to find one in a thrift store for less than $50.00! Nice Video! Thanks Guys!
i wouldnt be surprised if they managed to get a pc that can run games with 10 bucks.
now that would be something
@@ToastyBros yo thank you for reviewing stuff on a consistent basis. I am getting that 3050 laptop you reviewed a few back for blender for Uni. Ur the goat 🐐
it's possible to get a pc that can run games for free if you're really trying

I remember watching you guys a while ago and was dreaming of a 1300$ with a 3060. For Christmas my dad went to micro center with me and bought it!
I hope you enjoy itt!!! Haveee funnn
Congrats dude
Also Costco had a Dell XPS desktop with a 3060, with an Intel I-7 for 1300 before Christmas

this would be if I didn’t have 6 siblings lol
I'll make a list of a budget setup and the peripherals you can use!
1. RK Royal Kludge RK71 $34.99
2. NPET M70 $14.99
3. ViewSonic VG2439m $75
These are personally my favorite budget items!
My favorite budget one rn is
Hyperx alloy membrane keyboard $29.99
Gaming Mouse RGB Wired, Pauroty Ergonomic PC Gaming Mice with Chroma RGB Backlit, 8000DPI Adjustable, 8 Programmable Buttons&Fire Button, Plug & Play USB Computer Mouse for Windows Mac PC Gamer: $8.99
Acer K242HYL $99.99
Impressive. Most impressive.
Id stay away from those 2nd gen i5s though…. The 3rd and 4th gen are a decent step up for only $20 more.
Cool sponsor. PNY has been my go to for reliability at a reasonable cost for a long time.
I've got a 3010 SFF with an i5 3450 and this same GPU. I use it for emulation and it can handle up to Gamecube at 1080p. It runs some PS2, PS3 and Wii at 720. Those games are more CPU intensive so an i7 with more cores will help. If you want to play older games from Steam or GOG, this is a great inexpensive system to start with.
Emulating those systems is usually more CPU intensive than GPU intensive, so even weak GPUs handle them well.
I would like to see a full setup with this pc
Yess same, I’m just looking for a good 144hz monitor on a budget
I really want to get into pc gaming
I built my own too. Using a Dell optiplex 3020 sff I upgraded it with a 1tb ssd, gigabyte gt 1030, 8gb ram stock, and the big upgrade of a i7-4790. I can say that as long as you put time and effort into the games then your skill will be the deciding factor. It's funny how people with rtx3080 11th gen processors can loose to 300 dollar discount PC players.
At that point why not just build from scratch... pretty much replaced half the soul of the thing
@@5thStarYT I would have had to pay for a motherboard, case, psu. I didn't have the money nor any knowledge on how to put together one. I love the small size that fits on my desk, the slim look, and it has a DVD rom drive so I can play older PC games.
bro the ram is more expensive than the title.
thank you guys for making these kind of videos! i can finally afford something cheap if i save up enough during f2f classes if we are going to get picked
The best part is the blower-style CPU cooling fan.
Today I purchased an old asus pre-built PC with an I7 3770, 16GB of ram and a 660 Ti powered by a Dynex Power supply rated for 520W for $60 USD.
There is deals out there you just gotta be patient.
Im also looking into getting a 960 4GB for 120. Hopefully the deal goes well. 🤞🏼
In fairness it can do more than game, as a $100 general purpose PC it'll do quite well. It'll surf the net OK, it'll play DVDs OK, it'll play vids streamed OK. Old tech is only redundant because we assume we need new tech to still do things that old tech has already done for donkey's years. Having said that, Left for Dead would run fine on this build along with a whole ton of older games along with a ton of indies on this, I think ignore the E-sports rubbish and use this build to explore the quality stuff it can play.
For a budget builds like these you should prepare battery of free-to-play and older AAA games , because this is what budget gamers would likely use. I suggesting adding WoT and Dota2 , but also Witcher series (all 3 games) , Fallout series etc ...
It probably does suck, but I’ll report back after watching the video😂
For 100 bucks it’s pretty cool!
“Pretty average” is a good description of it😂
I know a lot of folk focus on newish titles but the variety of excellent older games means you can get dirt cheap entertainment for a few bucks to play on a PC like this too.
For $65 I got a Lenovo Thinkcentre with:
i5 4570
16gb RAM 8x2 1600mhz
R7 240 2gb DDR3
250gb SSD
Think I got a really good deal considering the prices of the individual parts, Gunna sell everything but the ram (personal upgrade)
damn that's lucky as hell nice find
You should address the fact that the r7 250 is a GDDR5 / DDR3 Card. Which did you use in the build? The dell OEM's are all DDR3 I believe but most of them are excellent silicone and overclock like a damn dream.
I'd mention that giving the system a quick dusting is good to do while you have it all open
seriously! that fan was filthy
Try over 120 for the PC alone. Most are bought for emulation machines
If turns on, it's for gaming
Bro, I haven't watched these guys since last Christmas when they were reviewing my dream pc, and I actually got it for Christmas.
What was it
what as it
yesss do a full setup with it
Why does almost every title have "Does it suck?" on it? Why can't it be like "How did it do?" "How do we think about it?" "why didn't my dad come back home?" like the usual titles for other content creators
“YOU WONT BELIEVE THE RESULTS?!?”
💀
How does this card compare to a GT 1030?
I did exactly this modification a month ago and it worked fine for a week. I installed W10 on the SSD but forgot to format the old drive. System got confused and would not boot. Remover the old HDD and all works again.
This is pretty good content
The AMD FirePro S7000 graphics card might be a good one to test out, I’d personally love to see that. You can get it (renewed) on Amazon for 70 bucks now, been that much for awhile actually. Love the videos!
I had to sell my gaming laptop last month to buy a vehicle (the engine blew up yesterday) and I miss it so much. I'll never be able to buy another because I'm currently taking care of my disabled mother and can't work. It was my escape from reality so it's a real bummer
Sorry for ya loss
Here in Denmark low profile gpus are hard to find, so instead of SFF, I went with a second hand medium tower pc with 4th gen i5, 16gb ram and an Ssd for 80$, then I picked up a second hand gtx 960 for 40$ (an advantage of regular sized desktop pcs is that they often have a better PSU which you may very well need). Lastly I got a pretty decent monitor for less than 7$ :-)
Yooo I knew I recognized that card, I bought an r7 250 like 3 months ago for my Opti Plex I bought in 2018 and it’s worked wonders compared to the hd 7470 I got for it in 2019. And for the $35 I payed for it, it’s been one of my most effective and worthwhile investments.
Thats better than my 400$ dollar laptop
haven't watched in a while currently watching on my $850 build you guys did a year ago
I feel dumb, ive always pronounced it "X-L-R-8" and never "accelerate". makes perfect sense now.
It's only a matter of time before it clicks, you're not the only one who pronounced it like that.
For those gentlemen who have extra money, you can get the GT 1030 LP since it is also a decent and cheap GPU nowadays.
Nice! I have a question what do u use to record the gameplay?
Ah yes. The Dell Optiplex. aka the 90's Honda Civic rice rocket of PC gaming. Both are cheap to upgrade for better performance.
Your video is so easy to watch to. Feels like staying in someone's friend's house. not my house tho.
Can we please get a 300 dollar pc
i think gt 1030 ddr5 closer to rx 550 though it only lack in vram properties.
Where is the setup video for this pc with the lower res monitor yall were talking about?? CAn't seem to find it.
Yes please do a setup with it
This could easily run OldSchool Runescape for those who only play that
Yea you should build a full setup around that I have the same PC I just used a different graphics card
Which GPU? The 1050TI seems to be the popular choice.
@@zeroturn7091 Yea i used the MSI GTX 1050 TI
@@pffft5399 does it run roblox?
A few weeks ago i build a pc with a i7 3770 and with a r7 360 and 16gb of ram but i don't know how it perform because i don't have internet at home yet. So i didn't had the opportunity to install games on. But hopefully tomorrow my internet will be fixed.
You guys are talking like you are forcing yourselves to bother with this build. But this is really good for us with little means. Keep up with the good work!
I would definitely love to see a full setup video!
You should do a budget video on it you are pretty inspiring
Probably does lol
Debatable. It's not good but it's not too bad for the price
@@xbyxenos3200 I would say it's good for starters
@@RandomTalksOFC agreed
That‘s really good for the price.
100 dollars is too expensive for someone like me. How about you do 99 dollars next? ;)
Nice kentucky shirt, i remember UCONN beating them for a national title
this build is kinda hard to follow since the SSD ran Out and the 1tb are going for 100$ or more now
Get a Kingston a2000 1tb for about 87 dollars. Very good SSD for a smaller budget. Got it myself too
Just buy any cheap one 240 or 480GB. You won't need more space since this won't run games that take up lots of space.
It's crazy that the top graphics cards today are as big as this whole computer lol
Every optiplex I find on offer up is well over $100 and even up to $500
definitly we want !!!
Good work lads.
i use this pc it works fine for fn on 720p
and get around 70fps
I'm actually surprised that it can run cs go considering the fact that it is for the most part meant to be an office pc
40 dollars for an r7 250, what has this market come to
6:32 is it important to open and close the CPU (I dont know much about PCs
Why is it that these good optiplexes are always like a 100 dollars in your area? I never find any of those for less than 150 or 200 dollars. I hate my state 😒 😑 .
🤣 just bought the 790 on the 27th… Perfect time for a video from you guys.
Can you do another build guide on a $500 pc with a dedicated graphics card like gtx 750ti or something, and please put links to the specific parts you used instead of making us find a good set. Thanks!
now this is actually genius, getting a pc for that price... here in sri lanka an optiplex would set you back $320 .... so that's out for me
I love how he’s using my monitor
I'm on a IT team doing a major upgrade for a hospital system. We consider this junk. It isn't going straight to the recycle pile like the 7010 SFF's, but ugh.
this is helpful if you wanna replace the parts for better ones
Great video!!
For the hp-pavilion-gaming-desktop-tg01-2170m which gpu do u recommend to get? The gtx 1650 super (4gb) or rx 5500 (4gb)
RX 5500 is much better. I've had one recently. Undervolts and overclocks really well.
Techpowerup rates the 2 cards within 2% of each other. The video encoder on the gtx card is better if that would impact you at all. I would pick which one you can find for a more reasonable price.
@@rathstar it don’t matter which I get I will still get a good gaming experience for my first pc?
@@bo4oe23 Both GPUs will give similar performance. As to whether it's good depends on what games you'll be playing, what resolution you're playing at and what you deem acceptable frame rates. At 1080p resolution you should have a fine to great experience depending on the game and settings.
@@rathstar the main games I’ll be playing is war-zone, Fortnite,Valorant. But which gpu would u personally would recommend for me to get the 1650 or the 5500?
The r5 430 is a good option too
Please do a $1300 full gaming setup
Is that R7 ddr3 or gddr5 variant? All of the oem low profile models I've seen were ddr3, but your performance seems too good not to be a gddr5.
R7 250 was my first GPU I bought and u can play some games like tomb raider emulation like ur good to play some good oldies no doubt
I mean, I've "built" a pc for Minecraft gaming for like $100 and it performs about the same
The specs were:
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 II 635
GPU: AMD (ATI) HD 8490 (1GB Vram)
Memory: 4GB RAM (cannot upgrade due to mobo)
The PC was originally an HP Slimline S5213w and had terrible specs. I was able to play Minecraft at 60fps with all low settings and was able to record video but the PC would start to heat up if I did. The original OS was Windows 7 and I updated it to Windows 10, but it's a super lite version with 300mb ram usage. I'm actually using a OS called Nexus OS but it's Windows 10 but without updates and telemetry and stuff so it performs way better
Edit: Don't use unofficial builds of Windows. Instead, just use scripts from Chris Titus Tech and others to debloat windows.
Fps rates?
@@eeeeeee7352 with the new parts and new os I get 160-200fps on Minecraft 1.8.9 with some settings turned down like particles and clouds and fog. Default settings would be 60-70fps
@@rslashteenagers play 1.18
Were you using performance mods like optifine or sodium?
@@DeMooniC yes. I use lunar client and badlion client. I ended up switching to Linux and back and found that while debloated windows is cool, it's not 100% safe, and so I've been on Linux ever since. Compatibility with games is still good, since steams proton works.
this $100 pc is better than my $800 pc💀
Add more Paladins gameplay! It’s a free moba that this demographic would ideally play
I'm still waiting for the 10$ pc
My 300 dollar laptop doesn't even get 60 fps
if you do go with the mt tower dont go with the r7 250 go with the better alternitve which is the gtx 950 and if you can get it for a good price a gtx 960
Hey I have that PC but I think its a different varient because im a bit confused on how to open it because there is no flap on the side
I'm pretty sure you guys could build a gaming pc out of thin air
I have the optiplex 790 and i cant play fortnite or anyother games so pls can u show how to upgrade the other 790 with cheap stuff asweal
dell optiolex 390??
Hey! Do u think that i5-6400 and a gt 1030 with 8gb ram is a good low end pc combo?
Yeah I think soo
I think it would work great for comp games or like 30 ish FPS for more demanding games!
like val csgo
bro if they whisper this will be the best asmr for pc
I have the 390 version of this, and that thing is durable AF. Will these take Xeons with that R7 250 combo? Mine only has two DIMMs so I assume that the max is 8GB DDR3?
make sure your bios is up to date with dell support assist and any optiplex can take a xeon. basically i7s at half the price.
@@johnringgold3036 adding that to my to do list, appreciate it.

hey so what ssd should i be getting for this build? and whats that cable?
Would this be good for streaming ?
Where did you connect the gpu to the comouter
so depressing that second gen i3s and i5s are the best you can get for 100 bucks now in 2019 you could go third gen i7 with the r7 250 big brother the r7 260x or the r7 360 for under a hundred and have a decent 1080 p low machine for e sports gaming and triple a stuff from 2014/2015 at 900p med but now nope you gotta be really lucky and honestly you have to become one with ebay to snipe the deals worth taking.
I just got the xlr8 16gb ram
