Yo! Toasty Bros! I love your budget conscious builds. I am really entertained by your aliexpress builds though. I was thinking about building one for my young son since they are so cheap. You always talk about the m.2s being wonky though. Could you perhaps make a video or a short explaining the issues you've had and what makes them act funky? Or a video testing how to get them to work or show why they don't? Is it the m.2 satas, the nvmes, the manufacturers? I like 2.5" ssds but I have been baptized by the glorious nvme waters.
For anyone who might be interested in the budget xeons, for many of the v4 and v3 chips theres actually a bios hack that allows for higher all core boost clocks. It is overclocking technically but it uses a codec/bios code vs actually over clocking it works really well my one friend did it with a v3 xeon got 1ghz higher on the all core also the fact he had single channel memory thats impressive results for the xeon board

Ok, this is awesome, but Halo question: Why is it whenever I try to play halo infinite multiplayer, the menu never shows up after the game finishes its initial loading screen? Like, it gets to the screen where it tells me to hit space to continue, but then I hit space and the menu never loads.

I have that same Patriot SSD. It died within 3-4 months since I bought it due to firmware corruption (the infamous Satafirm S11 error). It stayed in a shelf for about a year until I tried repairing it re-writting a new firmware with some software. It's currently working as a tertiary drive to store some games and hasn't failed it since (1,5 years). Anyways I wouldn't recommend to buy it.
Essentially the same as $200 build. You get slightly better Xeon, more RAM and storage. Local PSU and case. If you have any money left you get RX 590 GME instead of RX 580 2048 SP . Or even 5600 XT .
A 7500 can work with much faster cards than a 580, but if you're building something to last it's a good idea to go for AM5, it's probably got two whole generations of chips still to come for it, might even got another 3, AM4 got 4 Zen gens on it. When I changed to AM4 I did the platform first then upgraded the GPU later, then switched from Zen to Zen 3 a year and half after that. Even with my old GTX1060 6GB I could tell the differences between 4th gen i7, Zen, 4th geni7 bottlenecked the GPU where Zen didn't but caused stutters. The stutters were still there with Zen and the GPU upgrade but vanished with the Zen 3 part.
