I have a GTX 970 in my Media/Office PC and it is still a surprisingly capable card even with the 3.5+0.5 GB of vRAM mess. Pairing the GTX 970 now with a Ryzen 3 1300X and 8GB of 3200MHz DDR4 even a game like Hogwarts Legacy sticks around the 60FPS mark. Of course there's a lot of Low in the settings and use of a balanced FSR preset but it runs and runs well. If this was the only PC I had I wouldn't feel hard done by.
i also got a ryzen 3 1300x with a rx 550 playing cs go with all on low with 144 fps all time

@@smokegames1179 My Media/Office PC inherited a few things as I upgraded my gaming PC over the last seven months. The 1300X was replaced by a 1600AF and it got the 16GB RAM kit that was there. The GTX 970 itself was replaced with a RX 580 8GB 2048SP.
My gaming PC now has a 5600X, 32GB of RAM, paired with a RTX 3060 12GB.
Good effort!
For $500-600 these days you can once again build a pretty decent gaming PC.
I loved my FBM X2 case
As a first computer case. I’ve definitely updated since then but this little guy served me well for years. Airflow was sketchy but take the front panel off, buy a cheap molecule fan controller and some cheap cooler master fans and it was a great little machine.

God I love these...recently I got a 300 dollar 2021 aurora r10 ryzen ed and adding ram/messingn with it is my 1st experience since 2006 with building and its been interesting!
the 2600 chip cameout in 2018, b520s came out in 2020 best thing about am4 is the upgradeability but you can technically downgrade
Man it was so dumb how they went on about whether it would support it and how it was a "surprise" like dude that's literally the point of AM4's multi generation support wtf are you guys talking about.
lol I came back here because I wanted to see which Ryzen 5000 they were talking about but the A520 isn't 'cheap' it's minimal. Mainly for custom pro office set ups for editing or for fast paced offices. I use the A520 and it's actually in the pro line up for the am4 platform. it supports up to 4800mhz DDR4. it's no slouch. it just has 1 Nvme and only 2 Ram slots. most of the time these youtubers are only putting 2 DIMMs anyway so really there's no cause for B550 unless it's for looks and 8pin cpu. that's all. the Mother board is actually higher end then I expected it to be. I'll be able to go Ryzen 5 5900X in the future or 5800X3d. I'm going to be on AM4 for a long time@@iamspencerx

does the ryzen 1000, 2000, 3000 series support the b550 motherboards with the latest bios that can support?
The reason he didnt get 60fps in jedi survivor mainly beacuse of the motherboard, on average the utilization is around 50% meaning there some sort of driver issue

I've been split between the 4070 Super and the 7800xt for my build and I think this video has helped me decide. I think the ray tracing performance and DLSS 3 have decided for me.
The A520, as far as I know, supports all Ryzens except 1st Gen, so your 2600 should be fine.

Jedi Survivor actually ran pretty well for me at release, I doubt I was getting 60 fps all the time especially on Koboh but it was never unplayable.
And it looked like it was running pretty well for you too, if you had a Ryzen 7 CPU and either a 1660 Super or a 1070 you probably could have met your goal.

Honestly Matt's pc could run jedi survivor on lower setting and tbh I do use 720p which will run even medium at 60. I say maybe for next one make it so certain ones have to run on certain resolutions
but I've technically knew that it wasn't gonna work with the newest bios unless if you've had ryzen cpu support problems like the 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 or 5000 series
I wouldn't complain with either one of those compared to my FX8320. 😂

Because FSR balanced is on at 1080p. He's CPU limited too. I feel like a Ryzen 5 3600 on an A320 would've opened up the budget to an RX 5700 XT and gotten 60 fps

to be fair though getting 60 fps on a high end build for Jedi seems to be a chore for most
A520m needs bios update then it'll snuggle up with Ryzen 5000
do a 6700 XT with i3 13th gen or ryzen 3100... see how low the pricing can get with these combinations and how the gaming looks

Survivor was a deathtrap from the start. I have a i7 13700k and a 12 gb 3080. Averaging 40 to 50 fps on a good day

The highest I saw the 2600 get was 62%. What bottleneck are you referring to?

13:07 yeah i can see why the i5 4000 series might bottleneck t he 970 for sure but its also worth noting that fortnite tends to be a bit more demanding on the CPU than most games
im on intel core i3 and gtx 770 and i get 150fps on battle royale and from 200 to 240fps on any other map in fortnite
why not used dell optiplex and just a 1070ti its in the budget

Man, Intel in our country is expensive. Ryzen 5 2600 is equivalent to a 4th gen Intel, I'm tending to build a Ryzen machine because if you look at the ram speed, the R5 reaches 3000s while Intel is in 1800s, like wtf?
